A SPECIAL TALENT - Week in and week out, Mullen is showing peripheral vision that is uncanny for a young man his age. #6 wowed the fans in attendance against Roosevelt, juking tackle-after-tackle to finish with 101 yards rushing, 89 yards receiving, and five touchdowns.
TEHACHAPI NEWS - Adam Mullen scored five touchdowns, accounting for 312 total yards, as the Braves (4-1) rolled to big win over Roosevelt.
Tehachapi got on the scoreboard in the first quarter when Braves Quarterback Kurtis Knudsen found Mullen wide open for a 48 yard touchdown catch. In an impressive display of balance and finesse, Mullen eluded six tackles in the flat to take the catch for a score, which was Tehachapi’s second play from scrimmage. Knudson would also connect on a 38-yard touchdown catch with Mullen later in the game, finishing 6-6 for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Mullen’s other scores came on a 62 yard run, a 90 yard kickoff return, and a two yard run, bringing his season touchdown total to 16 scores. Angelo Loli also had a solid output on the afternoon, collecting 59 yards on 11 carries.
Damien Rodriguez, Josh Cannedy, Eric Harroun, and Cody Roebuck all had four tackles apiece, while Chris Fimbres, Dominic Chavarria, and Joey Hack all recorded sacks. Knudsen also accounted for two interceptions, taking one 41 yards for a score in the second quarter.
