PRE-SEASON COMMENTARY The Indians came off one of the best years in school history, taking an SSL championship with a 9-1 (5-0 SSL) record in 2005 prior to welcoming in the new class of future Warrior stars. The future of Mountain Football will be bright, with Head Coach Chris Olofson taking advantage of 42 athletes trying out for football glory. Helping Olofson during the year coaching was legendary 19-year assistant coach Bruce Schkade, who himself has guided the freshman program to two SSL championships in 2001 and 2002 along with a long list of accomplishments at all levels of the Warrior program. Also assisting was long-time THS Coach Cliff Wiggins, Jeff McLauglin, and Marcos Curiel, who is a familiar face to Olofson’s staff from his football coaching days in the early 90’s when both helped guide the Junior Varsity Braves program. |
