RIGHETTI DEFENSE SHUTS OUT INDIANS, 18-0

TEHACHAPI NEWS - The Indians had offensive possession 11 times in the game, three of them with starting field position deep in Righetti territory, but in the end Tehachapi could not find the endzone in an 18-0 loss to Righetti-Santa Maria last Thursday afternoon.

Despite not being able to score any points, the Indain's defense rose to the occasion on multiple plays, led by John Cramer who had eight tackles and a fumble recovery and Andrew Howell who had six tackles and a punt block.

Other defensive standouts included five tackles by Nick Howell, four tackles by Paden Rich, three tackles each by Cal Weeks, Tyler Hagen, Jesse Olofson, and Luke Papac.  Papac also recorded a quarterback sack in the first quarter.

On offense, Robert Sigmund had the longest play from scrimmage for the Indians, taking a reverse handoff 48 yards in the third quarter. Sigmund also finished the game with four tackles on defense.

Recovering fumbles where Zach Maravigli and Dylan Fralick to account for the Righetti turnovers in the game.

The Indians will have a home game this week on Thursday against Stockdale at 5 p.m.
