TEHACHAPI NEWS - Coming into the contest as one of the most explosive scoring threats in the section, Tehachapi was not able to get a firm hold on their offensive rhythm, and in the end it equated to a playoff loss against eighth-seed Kerman, 35-12. Despite the lack of points on the scoreboard, Tehachapi did receive a strong performance from senior fullback Gabe Bressler, who led the team with 104 yards on 13 carries. Bressler’s longest run from scrimmage was a 52 yard gain, which set up the Warriors for a first-and-goal at the one yard line early in the second quarter. Scoring touchdowns for Tehachapi were sophomore Josh Strauss, who made good on a one-yard plunge, and Levi Lantz, who took a quarterback sneak up the middle of the line of scrimmage in the fourth quarter for a score. On defense, Josh Schulgen had an interception for Tehachapi while Stefan Bekker recorded a fumble recovery. Alek Taliulu had a season-high 17 tackles for the Warriors, while Jake Harris recorded three sacks to bring his season total to 11 quarterback take-downs.
