Under the Pink
By Tori Amos

One of Tori Amos's best albums, Under the Pink is a beautiful but tragic collection of songs. Amos's rich, melodious voice combines perfectly with expert piano work and a diverse selection of other instruments. Sad, insightful lyrics complete the incredible compostion.
Some of my favorite songs on this album are "Cornflake Girl", "Past the Mission", and "Pretty Good Year".
If you want a meaningful but rather mellow album that you can sing along to but is not that generic wailing girls pop crap, Under the Pink is for you. I'm pretty sure that almost anyone would like this one, unless you're in the market for disco or the stuff that sounds like a bunch of drunks screaming and banging on trash cans.
