Ms. Defoe is Lawndale High's art teacher. She doesn't appear very often, but from when she does, it seems that she considers Jane her most promising student. It also looks like she's still somewhat of a hippie. Ms. Defoe is very enthusiastic about art and is interested in its meanings. She’s very kind and tolerant of everyone, but is sometimes understandably frustrated with Brittany's extreme air-headedness and definite lack of artistic talent.

Ms. Defoe's typical attire consists of a long pink V-neck dress with yellow ribbing, brown leather sandals, a necklace with very large blue beads on it, and big gold hoop earrings. She has curly red hair, which is held back by a yellow scrunchie, and she wears pink lipstick.
