Name: Amanda Lane
Amanda is Jane, Trent, Penny, Wind, and Summer's mom. She is a potter and still pretty much a flower child. Amanda seems to believe in a rather neglectful parenting style, and is frequently not at home, but when she is she's usually shut in her studio with music blaring. She seems to really like her work, but constantly battles an extremely tempramental kiln.

Name: Vincent Lane
Full Name: Vincent is a photographer and Jane, Trent, Penny, Wind, and Summer's dad. Not much is known about him, as he's usually away on a photography expedition (like taking pictures of Celtic rock formations), but he seems to be supportive to his kids and a pretty good dad when he happens to be home.
Vincents's Trivia
-Up until very recently, his first name wasn't known. It was revealed on MTV's Daria Trivia (thank you, thank you, to Wouter Jaegers, for telling us!)
Name: Summer Lane
Summer is the eldest of the Lane children, and already has four kids, including Adrian and Courtney. She has had at least one failed marriage, and is, as far as we can tell, currently unemployed.
Name: Wind Lane
Wind is the second Lane child, and has very bad luck with his romantic life. He's been married and subsequently divorced three times (from Claudia, Shelia, and Katie), but, as far as we know, doesn't have any kids yet. He was living on a houseboat with his latest wife, Katie, but she kicked him out and him came to stay at his parents' house.

Name: Penny Lane
Penny, the Lanes' middle child, used to have a stand in Costa Rica, where she sold her handmade tin picture frames, but it was swept away by a volcano. Because of this, she had to come stay at her parents' house for a while in "Lane Miserables". She's never been married, but is very affectionate toward her rather evil parrot, Chiquito.

- Amanda and Mr. Lane were obviously Beatles fans, as they gave Penny that bad pun for a name
