May 22, 2010 - I have just added to our archive ten new fics (The Boy with Sea Green Eyes, Collection Day, A Life of Bit Parts, The Stick is Canon!, Stupid, That's Daria!, They Don't Love You Like I Love You,
What Goes Around, and With a Wicked Pack of Cards) and a new collection of ficlets by the ever-amazing Angst Guy. They're all relatively short and as wonderfully satisfying as one would expect from such a great writer. I am once again honoured to be able to read and host his fiction, and I hope everyone who visits the Shrine enjoys reading them.
I have a whole folder in my inbox full of fiction from the past few years, and I hope to be able to get some of that up in the coming months. Ain't Real Life grand?

September 1, 2005 - It took a little (or a _lot_) longer than I had hoped, but I've managed to finally get all of Mr. Lobinske's new (by which I mean, stuff he's sent in in the past 6 months or so...) material all uploaded and so on. It's fabulous stuff, and you should definitely go check it out. Also just added are an illustration for "Three" (one of Mr. Lobinske's stories) by Angelinhel and Richard Lobinske and another picture of Daria by Christ Oliver. Enjoy, because I'll probably disappear for another couple of months before getting around to posting the new stories The Angst Guy has already sent in.
July 22, 2005 - The Angst Guy has once again graced us with a number of stories and a couple of essays, and we have new fanart from Christ Oliver, Lindsay, Ranchloth, Uzurpator, and Damaged Roses! Not enough? There's new fic AND art from Richard Lobinske on the way!
April 18, 2005 - Wow... The Daria Shrine is now home to a very large, very impressive collection of fanfic from Mr. Richard Lobinske. Very impressive.
February 15, 2005 - More absolutely wonderful fiction from The Angst Guy has been posted, including two brand new pieces. And now, time for me to get back to work for classes. Joy.

Information about the B&B episodes "Substitute" and "Tainted Meat" is up, and there's a fic acomin', just as soon as I can get the ducks on my own site in a nice, orderly line.

Sept 2, 2000 - Put up 18 screen captures from This Year's Model in the Images section - check it out! We plan on having about that number for each episode eventually. Also put up Lady B's five excellent fanfics as well as Neo Hippy Purple's works. I would rant about how good they are, but it's late and I think the paint stripper fumes got to my brain, anyway. I have a more fics to put up in the next few days, but I have to take part in a Family Bonding Activity tomorrow. -Larissa

August 30, 2000 - And now for an embarassing-but-true story. I've been looking around fanfiction.net (in the Daria section, of course) a lot recently, as I've been kind of bored and looking for a good read. So, after a while of looking only at the fiction with "good" synopses, I finally decided that to read a bad one, to clear the palette, I guess. I clicked on one that sounded like a mushball story about Daria becoming an alcoholic....it was my luck that "Simplicity Itself" turned out to be one of the best-written fics I've ever seen. You know those rare-but-precious stories so smoothly and beautifully written you can float through them? Well...that's one of them, as is the sequel. And thus, fully mesemerized, I did something rather drastic for me: I mailed Glasswing asking for permission to put them on here. This may not seem too drastic, but I've been convinced that people will reject these requests ever since...ahem...it happened in the Early Shrine Days. But fortunately it wasn't rejected...so enjoy them. I'm sure you will, even if you aren't a Rabid Shipper. -Larissa
August 28, 2000 - Added three fics today (and Wouter's newest is coming soon). The first is a slightly evil piece by Morgan; the start of a series of Monique/Tom shipper fics. The second two are by a new writer for the Shrine, Blue New Girl, and are lovely, heartfelt, lyrical pieces. Read them, please... I spent lots of time linking to Morgan's site and stealing the code off fanfiction.net, gosh darn it! I need some sleep. -Larissa

August 17, 2000 - I haven't been neglecting the Shrine as much as it may seem. In the last couple of days, I've put up Wouter's new fic, "Another Week in Lawndale", started working on improving the appearance of the fanfic page like I said I would, oh, about half-a-year ago, put up some more ep reviews in the "Before Daria" section, added a message board, and various other stuff. July 19, 2000 - Finally got to update again. We now have four more excellent pieces of fanfic: the third installment in Morgan Jenkins' series, as well as three pieces by Aaron Solomon. I'd say more, but I've spent about three times my alotted computer time on the library computer. Oh, yeah, also put up a great, funny, well-drawn piece of fan art by Wouter. July 2, 2000 - By some incredible and miraculous occurance, I actually got a new Quizlet up. (I was definitely right about not getting it up for a long time, heh heh.) Also changed the Image of the Month (well, put the first one since March or April up), edited our News, and put some insane ravings up. I'm going to try to put some fan art for "Revelations" up later tonight. We'll be home in 2 weeks (but probably won't get anything done for 3), so we'll put up the rest of the ep guides as well as some new If They Mateds we've done. I also added a new fanfic, "Sweet Child of Mine" by Wouter Jaegers, in which Brittany and Kevin have to deal with some pretty drastic changes in their lives, Sandi gets what she really deserves (*rubs hands together and laughs evilly*), and B.L. makes another appearance (I think I have this second appearance thing down now!). March 1, 2000 - I realized that the only work that my lovely sister has done on the Shrine in the past couple of months - putting the Jane linoleum cut up - was done wrong, causing the picture to have this neon-coloured line through it. Feb 29, 2000 - Yay! I finally got off my arse and did something on the Shrine. Well, I put up the prequel to "Let's be in Love", "The School Bands", in which Quinn starts coming out, we learn something about that blonde extra girl with her hair over her face, and other lovely stuff. (*nervous laughter* Never mind about the Pearly bit, I was just, er, kidding.) I liked it very much. I also did some minor work on other sections. -Larissa

Feb 18, 2000 - Look, I know that the fanfic section got slightly deleted last night. My mom is now bustling around yelling, "Seven minutes, Larissa!", which means that I have to go in seven minutes or tragically, I won't get to go to school. She'd probably also ground me, though. Anyway, I got all the fics back up, but haven't put any art or the other stuff on there yet. Feb 2, 2000 - 'allo, everyone. I got a new fic, "Fashion Victim", by Morgan Jenkins, up. It's a cross between Daria and Sailor Moonand is very enjoyable & interesting. The third chapter would get a little funky if you don't watch Sailor Moon, though. -Larissa
Feb 1, 2000 - Put up a new fanfic called "The Year of the Cynic" by Wouter Jaegers. It's well written with a slightly eerie air to it and has a nice ending. Hope everyone likes it. Also worked on the "If They Mated" descriptions and put up the somewhat unappetizing image for February. -Larissa

Jan 27, 2000 - Put up a new Quizlet and "Manhunt", the conclusion to the "Let's be in Love" series. The plot is a bit strange, and all in all it's a very good read and a good end to the series. Also added "No More Deviants", the sequel to "Damien's Day at Lawndale Hell". This one's just as good as the first - very. Read it. -Larissa
Jan 23, 2000 - Put up a new fanfic: "Murder was the Case". It's the sequel to "Let's be in Love" and is great, but very sad at the end. It portrays Sandi going insane very well, though (this was supposed to be a compliment). I also added the Episode Review for "Malled". -Larissa

I must say, its my personal favorite of the four that Wouter Jaegers sent us) If anyone has good images (fan art or other), please send them to us! Please!! Nov 30, 1999 - You may have noticed that we haven't done much on the Shrine recently, but don't worry (like you would), the lack of updates is only temporary. We put American Isis, our zine, on hold when we started the Shrine, and we feel guilty about that now, so its the Shrine's turn to come to a screeching halt for a little bit. Plus, the fanfic, with all its corrections, is buried deep in the hell-pit that is my backpack, and I haven't had the time to fish it out yet. -Larissa

Nov 1, 1999 - Since my last update, we got accepted to both the Daria Webring and the Definitive Daria Webring. Sorry about the ads; the ones at the tops of the pages are there to stay, but we're trying to get the one on the left frame and the second one on the index page taken off. Well, has anyone else noticed that the Other Daria Webring's home page (but not the rest of its pages) and The Daria Warehouse got deleted practically simultaneously? That's weird. Oct 28, 1999 - We got the guestbook up and fixed some of the pictures. We also think that we successfully joined the Daria Webring and the Definitive Daria Webring, but who knows, we could be rejected at the last minute. -Larissa

Oct 25, 1999 - We've been working on putting up some more minor information pages, and I've been attempting to get that stupid image map to work, but it has thus far eluded all of my efforts to get more than one button to work! Sigh. If anyone can help me, view the source on this page and please email me with what I'm doing wrong! Oh well, we also got a quizlet put up (sorry; it only has one question; we'll put up a new one each week), and we're waiting for our guestbook. Put a Links page, some brief profiles about us, and this page up, also.

Sept 17th, 1999 - Well, as you can probably see, this page is brand new, though we hope to make it a very extensive site on MTV's Daria Morgendorffer. We've been fans since the show first came out, but strangely enough, just came up with this idea about a week ago. We're going to try to get it into shape pretty fast, so its worthwhile to stop back sometime! -Larissa
