I swung open the door to my hotel room, and had the satisfaction of seeing Andrew's chin drop to the floor. "Come on in,Drew" I said turning back toward the computer. "I'll just be a sec', I need to bring my computer." I looked back at him, and he was still standing in the doorway. " Drew, you're going to swallow a fly if you don't close your mouth." I could hear his jaw snap shut from across the room. I couldn't hold it in anymore. I started laughing so hard, I nearly collapsed onto the bed. " I'm sorry Drew," I gasped out between giggles. " Your face was just priceless!" "I can't help it," He said. "You look incredible! I figured you would change clothes, not your entire personality!" " I haven't, I just changed my persona." I replied," Shane told me earlier that I looked sweet and innocent, I decided to give him a little shock." "Well you gave me a big one!" He said, sitting down next to me. " I thought I was going to pass out. I can't wait till the rest of the guys get a look at you." I stood back up and grabbed my computer." Neither can I, lets go"
 

They had talked the hotel manager into giving us a large dining room on the first floor. As Andrew and I took the elevator down, I asked him if David would be there. " Oh yeah, when I told him about you, he got the biggest grin on his face. He said that he missed flinging you around the room. He wouldn't elaborate on that." Drew said with a confused look. "Is there any music playing down there?" I asked. "Yeah, we set up a stereo, so we could dance. Why?" We were off the elevator by then, and I could hear the music myself. We walked through the doors as I handed him my computer and said, " I have a feeling you're about to find out....." I barely got to finish the sentence before I heard "REENIE!!!" and was swept up into bear hug that would have put a grizzly to shame. The last thing I saw, as I was practically carried toward an impromptu dance floor, was Drew's jaw dropping for the second time that night. I just waved weakly back at him and called out, "I told you!". "David!" I laughed, "Put me DOWN! I haven't forgotten how to walk in the last three years!" "Just as long as you haven't forgoten how to dance!" he laughed back. "Why Davie! I do belive you missed me!" I said pinching his cheek, as we started to dance. " Nobody's called me THAT in years," He chuckled. "Well nobody's called me 'Reenie' since high school, so we're even." " I can see why, you look great! You've really grown up." " You have no idea!" I said starting to laugh. " What do you mean?" he asked. " Well... I looked different earlier today. I was just wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and I had my hair up in a pony-tail. I must have looked about sixteen. Drew nearly had a heart attack when he came up to find me, just now." "You're kidding!" He said starting to laugh along with me. " So Adam and Jay haven't seen you like this yet?"  " Nope," I replied "Just you, Drew and whoever noticed you man-handling me onto the dance floor." " Oh, this will be fun!" he said with a grin.
 

He then proceeded to drag me OFF the dance floor, and toward a table in the back. As we apprached the table, I recognized Adam, Jason, and Andrew, with yet another gorgeous blonde.  ( I swear, they must have some kind of factory in Canada!)  They were sitting there, with all of their attention on Drew. I assumed that he was telling them about David kidnapping me. Andrew suddenly noticed us coming toward them, and smiled. "Are you done throwing her around the room, Dave?" Three blonde heads whipped around toward us and, like clockwork, three gorgeous jaws dropped to the floor. "THAT'S IT!!" I yelled at Drew, "Thats the face!! Now do you understand what was so funny?" David was grinning, and Andrew nearly fell off his chair, He had to grab onto the table to hold himself up.   " Oh GOD!!!" He finally managed to gasp out, " That was priceless, I didn't say a word about how you looked to them, I couldn't wait to see the reaction!" "Alright," I laughed, spinning around. " Take a good look, and get it out of your system, boys. We need to talk." I sat down at the table, and turned to the new blonde. " You must be Val Venus, right? Sean Morley?" He came out out of his daze as I spoke to him," Uh... right. It's nice to meet you, Serena. These guys couldn't stop talking about you." " Thanks, its always nice to be appreciated," I smiled at him. I turned to Adam and Jason," Have you two re-joined the land of the living yet?" " Yeah guys, wake up!" David said, sitting down between them, and smacking their heads. Suddenly Jason's head dropped into his hands, and we could see his shoulders shaking. He looked up at me, and I could see tears of mirth in his blue eyes."YOU, are going to be a blast!" he laughed. "I can't wait to see you in the ring." We were all laughing at Jay, when I noticed that Adam was still staring at me. "
 

Wow.... You look absolutly, amazing....." That just set the other guys off again. " Yeah?" I said with a smirk. "Well you have a nice ass." That, finally, got me one of those devestating smiles."You just wait," he laughed. "I'll get you back for that." " I can't wait!" I laughed back. "Ok,Ok, enough, or I'm going to laugh myself to death," said Andrew. "Didn't you say you had something serious to talk about, Serena?" "God, I nearly forgot! First, David, did they tell you about me not having a charecter yet?" "Yeah, Vince is letting you pick your own right?" "Sort of, I can't just jump in where I'm not needed, but I have got a lot of input. Anyway, Adam and Jay were telling me about the storyline for the Brood today. How you guys want it to end with the team getting back together. Well that gave me an idea." I turned to Adam, "Thats why I dragged Drew off before the show. He took me back to Shane's office." I proceeded to outline the plan I gave to Shane that afternoon. "He liked the idea, but he said something about me looking too innocent and sweet to fit in with your team," I continued. "That explains the quick-change," laughed David. "You never did like to be under-estimated, Reenie!" "No," I said with a grin. "I only plan to give him a small heart-attack, when he sees me. By the way if you call me Reenie again, I'll have everyone here call you 'Davie' for the next month. It makes me sound like a cheerleader or something! " That had everyone laughing again. "So," I said. " Do you guys think you could stand having me as part of the team?" The three Brood members looked at each other, Adam grinned, Jason raised his eyebrows, and David let out a big laugh. The three of them proceeded to push out their chairs, and come around to stand in front of me. Adam held out his hand to me, and pulled me to my feet. I glanced at Drew, who had his hand over his mouth, and Sean, who was smirking openly. I got the feeling they had seen this little ritual before. Suddenly all three dropped onto one knee,each with a hand over his heart, and proceeded to profess un-dying love to me, very loudly, and in perfect unison. "I'll take that as a yes!" I laughed,  "You guys have way, way too much time on your hands!"
 

After that spectacle, I wasn't surprised when Glenn and X-Pac came over to see what all the fuss was about. They brought the Road Dogg,    " Call me Brian" Jessie James, and Al Snow along with them. Introductions were made, with David saying in a proprietory way that I was about to be the newest member of the Brood." Darn," Al joked. "I was hoping you guys would take Head off of my hands!" "Not a chance!" I shot back, " They do enough crazy things as it is! If they started hearing voices, I might have to send them to the nut-house,and then where would I be!" "I like her," Al told Adam. "Me too," He replied." I might have to keep her." That made ME give HIM a devestating smile.  " OK, where is it?" Glenn asked me. "What?" I teased. "The computer, I told you, I want to see those active imaginations you told me about. Did you bring it?" "What is he talking about?" asked David. "I told him some of the web-sites on the internet have fan-written fiction about a lot of the wrestlers. I think he wants to know what Kane's fans really think of him." I got the computer back from Andrew, and hooked everything up. "Let's see..." I said finding a certain site fairly quickly. "I think this will do, here Glenn, if you want to try another page just go down to this link and it will take you to a list of other WWF fan pages." We traded places, Glenn sitting down and me standing. " Now, I think I want to dance.... Adam would you care to join me?" I smiled at him." I would love to" he replied and we walked off. " You're up to something..." he said,  as we got out of earshot. We could see all the guys crowding around Glenn as he read one of the stories. "Just a little practical joke," I grinned. "That page has a very specific section on Kane and X-pac, something called 'slash' fiction. Any second now.....1....2....3...." We suddenly heard a roar of laughter from the table, and saw Glenn and X-Pac groan and put their heads into their hands. "Slash?" Adam asked. " Guy/Guy," I explained. "You're evil!" he laughed." They wont live that down for weeks!" "Well I DID warn him," I laughed. "Come on, lets get out of here before they come after me!"
 

We got onto the dance floor just as Beautiful Stranger began to play. Adam pulled me into his arms, just as I realized that the words had a lot of relevence at that moment.
 

'Haven't we met? You're some kind of Beautiful Stranger. You could be good for me, I have a taste for danger. If I'm smart then I'll run away, but I'm not, so I guess I'll stay. Heaven forbid, I take my chance on a Beautiful Stranger.'
I raised my head and looked at him.
 

'I looked into your eyes, and my world came tumbling down. You're the Devil in disguise, thats why I'm singing this song.
I couldn't help myself, I reached up, threaded the fingers of one hand into his incredible hair, and pulled him down for a kiss. I'm not sure how long we stood there, in the middle of the dance floor, locked in a very passionate embrace. The next thing I heard was someone behind me clearing their throat. "Ahem....Guys, I hate to interrupt," David said with a smile in his voice. " But Shane just got here, and he's looking for Serena." " And you two really should come up for air!" added Jason. Adam and I looked at them, and back to each other. Frankly, I was having trouble remembering where we were. That was some kiss! "Wow," we said in unison. " Wow is right," Jason laughed. "I think you two raised the temperature in here about twenty degrees!" "I thought you were the 'SILENT' one," I griped, smacking him. Adam and David laughed, and Adam put his arm around my waist, as we started back toward the table.
 

I think Glenn, Al ,Brian, and X-Pac, had been let in on the joke, because they were waiting at the table along with Drew, Sean and an un-suspecting Shane. Poor Shane, he saw that everyone's attention was on something behind him. So naturally, he twisted in his chair to look. He saw the four of us walking toward him with wicked smiles on our faces. He immediately fell out of his chair. The whole table burst into laughter. I bent down and offered him my hand. "I did tell you to be prepared for a surprise. Are you OK?" "Yeah," he said. "Did I say you looked sweet, earlier?" "Sweet and Innocent!" I laughed. He shook his head, "I think I need to get glasses." "Don't worry about it," Adam told him. "She freaked all of us out, at some point tonight." Adam sat down, and pulled me onto his knee. Since there weren't any chairs left I decided not to protest. 'Like I would have anyway,' I thought to myself, as I leaned back onto his chest and pulled his arms around my waist. That little by-play earned an odd look from half the table, that I decided not to acknowledge. "It's a good thing my father likes that idea of yours, Serena." Shane smirked, " 'cause I get the feeling you guys have already decided you want to do it." "He said 'YES'!?" I yelped. "That's wonderful!" "I talked to him about it after the show." He replied. "He want's to meet with all of you tomorrow for lunch. He said that it's about time the Brood's 'Mysterious Past' was revealed." " Which, of course, means that WE have to think of one before then." David supplied. "Pretty much," said Shane. " I think we can come up with something," I said confidently, " We can have breakfast tomorrow, before we all have to be at the gym."
 

Our portion of the party started to break up about then. X-Pac and Glenn, who had decided to forgive me for my practical joke, took off along with Brian and Al. Soon after that, Sean and Andrew decided they wanted to go find a few beers. " I think I saw Stone-Cold go that way," I heard Drew say as they walked away. The four of us sat there with Shane, for a little while, just tossing around a few ideas.  I realized, that Shane noticed I hadn't gotten up when all of the chairs came open. I could almost see that fact get filed in his brain, for future referance. All of a sudden I let out a huge yawn, I hadn't even realized I was so tired until then.         " Man, I'm beat," I said. "I think I'll go on up to my room" " I think I'll walk up with you," Adam offered. "That would be great," I smiled at him. "'Night all" I said.
 

We didn't see the look that passed between the three left at the table, as we walked away.
