Info You Should know Before Reading the Story

This is a story dedicated to Christian(Jason Reso), Edge(Adam Copeland), and Gangrel(David Heath). I am a huge fan of theirs.

In a dark cave there are three men sitting down together. “Gangrel sir, how do you think things will go here for us? We are newcomers and outcasts to societies.” Edge inquired.  Gangrel scratches his ear replying, “I don’t know Edge, we’ll see how things develop. I have seen a large castle out near the woodlands. I do intend to buy the castle sometime. After we buy the place, we can recruit more men. Once they’re under our control, we will be able to make them a part of our clan.” Christian stands there quietly and not impressed by anything as usual. “Edge and Christian let’s go to the bar east of here. My thirst and craving for blood has made me very hungry.” A grin enters Edge’s face. They leave the cave abruptly.

They slowly make their way into the bar not recognizing anyone. One of the bartenders walks over to them with a faint smile on his face. “Hello young lads, may I help you?” “Yes, we would like to order three large containers of blood from here. How much will it cost?” Gangrel answered in a polite manner. “About twenty gold coins. Seat yourselves lads, the drinks will be ready in a couple of minutes. Just let me warn you all to be nice here. If there are any fights here take it out on deck. My bodyguards will throw out anyone who’s troublesome, even if anyone didn’t start the fight. I better be going now young lads.” The elderly bald man explained to them.

Christian takes a glance at a woman that’s being touched against her will by two men. One of the men has black long hair that’s curly. The other one has long blond hair with red streaks in it. They act as if they own the woman. Her eyes tear up terribly. Christian nudges Edge showing him who the two men are. Gangrel notices the men too. Both of them continue touching the woman. She begins to weep in a low voice. “Hey look Jeff, I think she enjoys this. Come on wench, tell us that you love it?” She pushes Matt away from her. “Don’t touch me you filthy swine! I am not that type of girl!”

Christian sneers at them with hateful disgust in his eyes. He whispers, “Edge and Gangrel I want to go over there and just stop them. Besides Gangrel, we were reunited again. Those two men betrayed you remember? As much as anger we had for you then, we later on came back together. I will not let those two get away with what they’re doing now.” Christian heads over to them with burning fury in his hazel eyes. They both look up at Christian squinting. “Leave the lady alone Matt and Jeff Hardy or do I have to hurt the two of you just like you did to my clan leader in the past. You don’t realize the true feeling of betrayal. You’re the dreads of the earth that move along in the night to act macho around people showing how big you both think you really are. Well to me, you’re nothing but the usual Sabbat trash that lurks in the streets every night.”

Matt and Jeff get up from their seats with their fists clenched tightly together. “Oh really, a smart little Gothic punk like you is going to stop us? I hardly think so welp. You dare to interfere with our business. Oh Christian, you will soon bow before us.” Jeff said. They both push Christian out of their ways. Edge races over to Christian’s aid along with Gangrel. One of the tall muscular bodyguards break up the fight. “Look I don’t know who any of you five strangers are, but settle this outside on deck. You don’t listen to the rules, I’ll have to kick you all out. So either break it up or get out!”

The lady sits in a corner with her hands over her knees shuddering with fear. Matt and Jeff Hardy glare at Christian as they leave the bar. “Gangrel and Edge it’s all right I’ll see how the lady is doing. You both can sit patiently waiting for your drinks.” “Okay Christian.” They both said simultaneously. The woman wears a blue silk dress that has a shiny glow to it. Her hair is dark brown and average length, which is tied into a ponytail. Christian walks over to her slowly placing a hand upon her arm. She looks up at him petrified. “Please don’t hurt me, I beg of you. What do you want from me sir.” She begins to tremble worse than before.

He squats down next to her. “Nothing really, I just came here to see if you were all right. I take it that those treacherous men weren’t treating you properly. I do not like them at all. I have a hateful history background with them. Here take my hand, let me help you up.” She takes his hand watching him carefully as she gets up. He backs away from her so that she doesn’t get the wrong idea about him. “Um thank you kind sir…who are you?” “Ah, the name is Christian. Who might you be?” “My name is Kathryn. I appreciate your help Christian. You have no idea how much I despise those two men.” “I understand your hate for them as well as ours for them. Our tastes are similar in that way.”

Gangrel signals to Christian to come over to their booth. “Um Kathryn, it was a pleasure meeting you, but I have to go over there with my brother.” “Christian wait, good luck. I hope someday I can repay you for your kindness.” She smiles brightly at him with her blue eyes. He takes her hand gently kissing it. “Don’t worry about it Kathryn.” Christian told her as he strides over to the booth. Edge grins at Christian. “Edge what is so humorous?” Christian queried. “I don’t know Christian, too many things are funny.” He chuckles. Christian rolls his eyes at Edge. He occasionally looks over at Kathryn to see if she’s all right. All three of them drink from their chalices.

A man with broad shoulders totters over to Kathryn. At the corner of his eye, Christian sees them kissing. He decides to watch them. The muscular man wears Chain Armor and a helmet. Kathryn moves away from him. She turns away from him with tears forming in her eyes. He asks with concern, “What is wrong Kathryn?” “Gerard, you’re never around anymore. You’re too busy waging war. Can’t you ever think of me anymore? It is that hard to come to see me more often?” He narrows his eyebrows at her replying, “Kathryn, I am a soldier for heaven sakes! What do you expect from me? I can’t come home every night holding you and kissing you. Will you just understand this?”

Her eyes begin to tear up. “Gerard how can you tell me this? How can you just treat me like that? I don’t believe you. I am a woman and I expect love from a man, not dominance.” He mumbles something under his breath. Then scowls out in a loud voice, “Kathryn, I will not listen to you weep. You can cry all you want. There’s nothing that you can do to change my mind.” She cups her hands over her face crying in a low voice. “Lament all you want, I’m just going to walk out that door on you, then you’ll be alone sobbing all you want. I don’t have to listen to your dramatic cries. You know what, I think that I’m going to just elude you from here on, I can always get other women, because I’m a soldier.”

She raises her head at him with a look of disbelief in her eyes. “You would do that to me? You’re just a raving drunken soldier.” “Well things are different now between us Kathryn. As far as us being together it’s over my dear.” She slaps him across the face letting out her anger. He grabs her arms tightly. “How dare you do this to me and treat me like that? I should’ve figured you out at the beginning when we met. Now get away from me you poor excuse for a human being!” She told him. He knocks her down with a push. “An ungrateful wench you are Kathryn.” He swaggers out of the bar. She rests her head on the table with her head cupped into her arms crying.

Christian and the others are about to leave. “Wait Gangrel, can I talk to her for a little while?” Gangrel responds in a low whisper, “As long as you make it before sunrise. I do not want to lose you Christian, if I do I will never forgive you, is that understood?” “Yes Gangrel it is.” “Good.” “Yeah Christian, even I will be mad too. You’re my own flesh and blood. My dear brother.” Edge added. Christian thanked Gangrel. Gangrel has always been the most understanding one in the clan. Christian makes his way over to Kathryn, the one with the wounded heart.

“Excuse me Kathryn, are you okay?” She looks up at him with sorrow filled eyes. He notices the tears in her eyes. “No Christian. Please go away, I cannot talk right now. I’m in too much pain right now.” He takes her hand into his gently. Then he gives her a hug. She pulls away from him and pushes him away from her. “Just leave me alone Christian! I need time alone. You know what no man is worth my time anymore. Just go away!” She snaps. “Okay fine.” He heads out the door not exactly in a good spiritual mood. Eventually he catches up with Edge and Gangrel.

They notice the cold anger in his eyes. “Christian, something isn’t right. What is wrong?” Edge questioned him. Gangrel stretches out before he falls asleep in the cavern. “Nothing Edge, it’s just that lady was rude to me a couple of minutes ago.” “What did she tell you?” “Edge, what she told me was that she didn’t want to be bothered and left alone. I tried to calm her down, but she pushes me away from her.” Gangrel interrupts, “Christian, there’s no need to get angry over something like that. I can understand what she went through earlier with that alcoholic and the two Hardy Boys. Girls are sensitive to things like that. Now get some rest Christian.” Christian closes his eyes tightly. Edge just falls asleep comfortably.

The following night they enter the bar again to order blood again. Kathryn flashes a quick glance at Christian. Christian catches her glance, but sits quietly at the booth with his other clan members. She makes her way over to Christian. “Christian, can I talk with you alone for a while? Please.” Christian looks at Gangrel as if he’s not sure whether to do so. Gangrel gives him a nod meaning yes. Christian excuses himself from the booth. “Kathryn what is it?” “I’m sorry about last night how I treated you, it was uncalled for. I didn’t mean to. I was just overly upset over the things that were happening last night. You seem to be the only one that cared about me and I reacted the wrong way. I am so sorry.”

A tear rolls down her cheek again thinking of how bad she feels over everything that happened last night. Christian hands her a napkin to wipe the tears away from her face. He gently gives her a quick hug trying to calm her down. “Christian can you do me a favor please?” “What is it?” “Please hold me a few more minutes.” “Okay I can do that.” He holds her patting her on the head. Edge begins to giggle aloud accidentally as he watches them. Gangrel nudges Edge in the arm signaling him to stop laughing.

Christian gently breaks the hold. She looks up at him with her sparkling blue eyes. “Christian, I won’t forget your kindness ever. There’s no way that I ever could.” “Thank you Kathryn. It was a pleasure helping you all along and worth my efforts.” “Oh how can someone as nice as you come here? I just don’t understand it. What would you come to Gothorn for?” “Well, I like here. It’s an accommodating place in my opinion. It poses my interest.” “That I presume is something good for you, huh?” “It is indeed. So is it for my cohorts sitting in that booth over there.”

He studies her facial features closely. She feels his eyes on her smiling up at him. He takes a gaze at her for a few seconds. She catches his gaze with her own. Edge and Gangrel interrupt them. “Christian, Edge, and I are going to try to buy that castle. Make sure you come back before dawn.” He whispers. “Okay Gangrel, will do. Just be careful.” “Okay Christian, we will be careful.” They walk out immediately. She smiles warmly at Christian. “Christian, can I ask you something?” He turns his attention to her. “Certainly, what is the matter?”

“Can you come to the lake with me, please?” “Okay.” He escorts her to the lake safely. She sits down on a log looking out at the lake sadly. He sits down next to her. She notices that she’s very close to him now. “What is wrong Kathryn?” “It’s nothing Christian, I will be all right.” He gently places his hand upon her cheek asking, “Please tell me.” She gazes into his eyes deeply searching for his true feelings he has. “Christian, it’s about men. The way they are and the way they end up treating me. I always end up broken hearted. I was never involved into a true relationship. I told them that I am not the type of girl that’s easy for men to get a hold of. They had the manners of the lowest form of slobs. Filthy pigs they were!”

“Ya, I know that Kathryn. I’ve seen too much of it in the bar. Those type of men lack intelligence. You deserve better.” “Yes I do.” She said in a low voice. She covers her face with her hands. He gently takes her hands away from her face looking into her eyes. He easily detects her sorrowful expression. She peers into his eyes again moving closer to him. He kisses her lower lip gently. She leans further into the kiss. He holds her tightly in his arms not wanting to let go of her. She gently breaks the kiss backing away turning her back to him. He heads over to her placing his hand upon her shoulder holding his head near her ear whispering, “What is the matter, did I do something wrong? If so, I apologize.”

She turns around placing her hand on his cheek. “No, you did nothing wrong Christian. I just want things to move slower for us. I mean we just met a few days ago. I like you a lot, but I cannot love you now or I’ll end up broken hearted like I did with the other men I met. I hope you understand this, I just need more time.” “Of course I understand. I still want to see you at night though. One more thing, I am not like those men at all.” “Yes I know Christian. There’s something about you, which is different from them. Not only that, but your handsome looks too.” Before he can say anything she puts her hand over his mouth.

He backs away from her gazing at her not wanting to break the gaze. “Christian, it’s getting late now. I have to depart now. Please come back tomorrow night. I’d like to see my prince of darkness again.” She kisses his cheek before she leaves. He watches her go. Throughout the rest of the night he spends his time with his brother Edge and Gangrel. He sees them outside talking to two nobles.

“Sir, we would like to buy the castle, how much money is it?” Gangrel queried. “Well, since it’s a mess inside and dirty, I will give it to you for 200 gold coins, how does that sound?” Edge rubs his chin thinking. Gangrel replies, “We will take it. We would like to have it right now though. We desperately need a home.” “Very well then sir. Just fill out this scroll and we’ll be happy to give it to you.” The nobles wear armor, helmets, armbands, and boots. They stand there waiting for Gangrel to finish signing the forms. A couple minutes later Gangrel fills out the forms and pays the nobles. They all thank the nobles profusely.

They enter the castle. The castle looks very ancient. Certain walls look as if they’re coming apart or breaking. “Edge and Christian it’s going to take a while to clean up this place.” Christian looks downward at the ground. Edge notices that something is troubling Christian. “Christian what’s wrong?” Edge asked with concern. “Well, Gangrel said that it’s going to take a while to build this place. I think I am in love with Kathryn. I just cannot help myself, but really would like to see her every night. If I don’t see her, it’ll probably break her heart and mine as well.”

“Christian, don’t worry about it. You’ll see her at night. The only thing is that you come back an hour before dawn. The first couple of days though you cannot see her. We need the time to construct this castle. Once we’re finished with it, it will look marvelous. We also have to work on building up our clan. There are only three of us.” Gangrel stated. “Yeah that is true. I wonder if any women will come here.” Edge said as he grins at them. “Edge, learn to calm down a bit. Women are always on your mind aren’t they?” Christian told him.

“No, Edge’s problem is that he has this tendency to fall for women and you know the rest.” Gangrel teased. “Gangrel, we should hire some people to help us with the castle. I have seen workers in the fields and the bar.” “Excellent Christian, tomorrow night we go to the bar and ask the workers if they can help us.” Gangrel told him. “Right now, I am going to rest.” “Yeah me too Edge. Christian if I were you I’d rest too.” They all drift asleep.

The Reconstruction  By: Melissa O’Brien

Several nights later the castle is built to their liking. Edge and Gangrel stay inside the castle with the workers. Christian had just arrived in the bar. Kathryn runs over to Christian throwing her arms around him. “I have missed you. Where have you’ve been these past days?” “Kathryn, I’ve been helping my clan reconstruct an old castle south of here. Don’t think for one minute that I haven’t been thinking about you. I couldn’t sleep too well. I kept thinking about you every night.” Tears fill her eyes as she buries her head against his neck. She begins to cry in a low voice. He gently picks her head up gazing into her eyes.

“Kathryn, why are you crying?” “The amount of days you’ve been gone. I know you have feelings for me Christian, but I cannot go on like this. Too many men break my heart.” She weeps even more than before staining his Gothic shirt. He pushes her hair away from her face looking deeply into her sapphire eyes. She looks down at the ground. He gently picks her chin up and lightly kisses her on the lips. He does it in a long passionate manner. “Kathryn, I am sorry about that. The castle is built now, I should be able see you more often. Don’t worry if there’s something you want I will grant it for you.”

“Yeah that’s what they all say to me, then they end up lying to me. Words are so easy to say Christian, but proving them is always the challenge. I think I should move to somewhere and get away from everyone here.” “No Kathryn, please don’t go.” “Why? I will not let myself get hurt anymore, I am through.” “But Kathryn, I love you. Honestly I do. Let’s go to the lake.” “Okay Christian, but I am not in the mood to get hurt anymore by any man.” They stroll to the lake. She sits down with her arms cupped over her knees looking out at the lake. He sits down next to her.

She looks down into the lake thinking. He puts his arm around her. She rests her head against his shoulder. He kisses her cheek lightly. She places her hands on his neck while giving him a kiss. He places her gently onto his lap kissing her passionately. Then he moves to her neck kissing it as well. She runs her hands down the back of his shirt. He moves to her lips again kissing her. Her grip of him tightens more than before. She gently breaks the kiss and moves away from him.

“I can’t do this Christian. Things are moving way too fast for me.” He places his hand upon her cheek telling her, “Don’t worry about it Kathryn, I am willing to wait for you. I promise that I will wait for you. Later on, I would ask you if we could get married, but when the time is right for us. I love only you, I had a dream the other night of us making love together.” She hugs him tightly. “Oh Christian, that is so romantic. Just remember it’s a promise. If you should ever break it, I will never forgive you. Is that understood?” “Of course it is babe.” He kisses her hand.

She smiles warmly at him taking his hand into hers. “Kathryn, can I ask you something?” “Sure, go ahead my love.” “Can I make you become what I am? We’d be together eternally, not only that we’d also feel things better.” She puts her hands on his cheeks questioning, “You mean to tell me you cannot feel anything when I kiss you or touch you?” “That is almost correct my love. If we both were vampires, we’d be able to feel everything better.” “Being what you are? Maybe it would feel good to have power over those men in the bar whenever they’d try anything bad with me.”

“No my love, I wouldn’t leave you alone. I can bring you to the castle my clan and I are in the processing of living in. It will be a very high class looking place. I would give us both a large room to rest in. We’d always be together. I don’t want to separate from you, I love you to death.” “Oh Christian.” She wraps her arms around him tightly. He leans into a kiss. She kisses him back. “Thinking about this all, I really would love to marry you.” He kisses her with deep tender passion. “As would I love to hold you throughout the cold nights. Let our souls entwine.” She holds him tightly not wanting to let go of him.

“Um…Kathryn I cannot stay here too much longer, the sun is brutal to me. I can die. I really want to hold you, but I must go. My leader wants me to go back to the castle. My brother is there too. Please I am so sorry that I have to go now.” She lowers her head sadly. “Just one thing Christian, come back tomorrow night. If you don’t see me often, then I don’t think I can go on. My heart would be shattered like the other times.” His eyes widen as he wraps his arms around her while gently pressing his hands through her hair. “No Kathryn, I would never leave you. If it ever happened I don’t think I’d be able to live with myself. You are welcome to come to the castle with me if you’d like.”

She kisses him deeply on the lips. “No I don’t need to go there, I don’t know anyone where you are.” “Oh, they won’t hurt you. They understand how I feel about you.” “But still Christian, I don’t want to until we get married. Do you understand how I feel about that?” She places her hand upon his cheek as she looks deeply into his handsome hazel eyes. “Yes Kathryn, I do understand how you feel. Before I go I want to give you this last kiss for the night.” He wraps his arms around her kissing her softly. “Good night my love, I feel as if I don’t want to let go of you. Let’s get married sometime soon, then I know for sure that we are lovers eternally.” “That is fine, like I said it is up to you whenever you’d like to get married.” She smiles at him as he makes his way to the castle.

As Christian enters the castle he sees how immaculate it looks compared to the last time he saw it. The room appears to be very dim. The torches are lit on the gray walls. Everyone would notice very dark shaded areas. Candles are lit in the main room for Gangrel and his clan to discuss their affairs, to discuss their traditions, to tell great stories, and sip blood from their chalices. Christian notices Gangrel sitting down in the very front of the table talking to Edge about recruiting mortals to become a part of Clan Gangrel. Gangrel has on his thick armored black boots.

On the some of the walls, there are Gothic paintings, which happen to pertain to the darker side of life. Christian notices the Gothic architecture as well. Christian happens to see an excellent painting of two people kissing. At that moment, he thinks of Kathryn and him together. He slips into the room where Gangrel and Edge are seated. Gangrel turns to Christian asking him, “How did everything go with you?” “It went fine thank you, but later we intend to get married. I have to see her every night. I hope you understand this. Once we’re married, she’ll be one of us.” “Well I am proud of you little brother. Gangrel can we visit the bar again?”

Gangrel cocks his head to one side chuckling at Edge knowing the reason why Edge likes going to the bar. “Well of course Edge, either we buy it at the bar or we take it from troublesome victims.” Edge stretches his arms out. “Tomorrow night, we’ll go to the bar and have fun. By the way we do need to find more clan members. Christian if I were you, I’d marry her soon. She would make a perfect female Gangrel. I am not a racist. I don’t care if we get women recruited into our clan. Women are capable of having strength too.” Christian nods in agreement.

Marriage And New Clan Members By: Melissa O’Brien

Christian takes her hand in marriage a few days later. He kisses his bride passionately. He safely escorts her to the castle. She looks astonished by the beauty of the castle and the greatness of the paintings on the walls. She wraps her arms around his neck gazing into his eyes. He carries her upstairs with him. He gently places her onto the large bed and sits down next to her holding her. She kisses his cheek. “So Christian, are you going to embrace me?” She smirks at him slightly. He places his hand upon her cheek replying, “Yes my love.”

He pierces his teeth into her neck, then drains her blood thoroughly. She lies down on the bed unconscious. He gives her half of his blood points, so that she doesn’t frenzy later on. He sits down holding her in his arms waiting for her to awake. Edge knocks on Christian’s door. “Yes who is it?” Christian inquired. “It’s Edge. Gangrel and I are going out for a while. Guard this castle well.” “Yes I shall do so dear brother as I will protect my beloved Kathryn. Everything in this very castle means a lot of worth to me. I will guard it with my life.” “Okay Christian, sounds great, come on Edge let’s go now.” Gangrel commanded.

Gangrel and Edge make their way to the bar.  Gangrel sees a woman being treated as a slave in chains serving a group of Sabbats. He notices that both Matt and Jeff Hardy are sitting down at the bar with women sitting on their laps. They both sit back relaxed getting a fair share of women. A bald man with a lot of pierced body parts gives them an evil sneer. He notices the woman that the bald man is enslaving. His eyes narrow with hate. “Hey, take your filthy hands off of my wife Dracon! How dare you lie to me? All these years she’s been alive and you lied to me. Damn you!”

Gangrel makes a ferocious dive at Dracon. Edge stands by Gangrel’s side. Dracon pushes her into him. “Here take the wench, I already got enough pleasure from her anyway.” Gangrel lifts him up by the throat demanding, “You bastard! You ever dare to touch my wife again, I’ll break every bone in your frivolous body.” The security comes in and breaks up the fight. Matt and Jeff are giggling. Edge flares his teeth at them. The women stick their tongues out at Edge. One of the women tease, “Hey Edge, want to go for another hoop ride?” The four them laugh almost hysterically. Gangrel’s wife cries in his arms telling him, “Oh Gangrel, the slave labor the Sabbats have. They put me through enough hell.” Gangrel hugs her tightly. “Don’t worry Luna, I’ll take you home with me. Edge ignore the perverts over there.”

“Oh Edge, don’t leave you’re the best I ever had. Please don’t…oh Matt and Jeff.” The same woman giggles. A woman passes by them with anger in her eyes. “Why don’t all four of you just grow up?” Matt and Jeff dodge a scroll at her. Edge pushes her out of the way so that the scroll doesn’t hit the woman. She looks into his eyes a moment as Edge helps her up. She wears a red silk dress.  Their eyes lock for a few seconds. Her eyes are bluish green. She breaks the gaze. She interrupts, “Oh thank you, kind sir.” Edge raises his eyebrows at her. She notices his liking for her, but turns away from him shyly.

He stands there with his trench coat open widely. The Hardy Boys jump in the woman’s face. They slip of their shirts in front of her. “Hello, look at our muscles. Aren’t they great, oh…all the women love seeing our muscles. Woo Hoo!” Jeff interposed. “Get away from me now!” Matt grabs a hold of her. “Hey, we can do whatever we please. We can become a hindrance to you any time we want.” Edge loses his temper. He spears them both fiercely, one after the other. The woman notices how quick they get up. She jumps into Edge’s arms shaking frantically.

He catches her holding onto her so that she cannot fall. Matt and Jeff spit on the ground in front of Edge’s feet. Edge backs away frowning at them. They seat themselves with the other women that they were hanging out with earlier. As she trembles in his arms she gets a good insight of his face. He gently sets her down. “Um…thank you again sir, what is your name?” “I am Edge and you are?” He cracks a smile in there somehow. “Oh…I am Eliza.” He notices that she is a mortal. A huge smirk enters his face when he turns his back to her a moment.

Gangrel in the interim is trying to calm down his wife that was falsely pronounced dead. “Gangrel, they starved me too. I couldn’t do anything.” She exclaims. He massages her back gently telling her that it’s all right. The woman looks down at the floor. “Are you all right Eliza?” “Yes, it’s just too much men pass by me and harass me for no apparent reason. All because I never bother anyone here.” “Edge, we have to get back to the castle soon.” Edge turns his attention to Gangrel. “Oh yes…we do don’t we? I almost forgot.”

Eliza goes to the Bar’s deck in a hurry. “Excuse me Gangrel, while you order the blood I’ll talk to Eliza outside.” “All right Edge, try making it quick though. I am very thirsty for blood. Waiter we’ll take four orders of fresh blood.” Edge walks out on deck looking for Eliza. She stands near the railing with tears forming in her eyes. He places his hand upon her shoulder questioning, “Eliza, what’s wrong?” She says in a low voice, “It’s nothing, why are you talking to me? I got in your way before.” He notices in her voice that she’s very close to crying. “No, you didn’t get in my way. Don’t worry about it.” She turns around looking him straight in the eye. “Look Edge, I am sick and tired of coming to this bar. Practically every day, I am either harassed or ignored. I never had a chance to fit in with anyone here. I decided to move on alone without anyone. I have been innocent yes, but I am tired of being looked down upon, I’ve had it with this place.”

“Eliza, listen if you are lonely you can come live with us. Join our clan, become a part of us, there you will fit in. We have a special code of conduct there. We are loyal to our clan members as well as respectful towards our elders.” She smiles at him slightly while rubbing her chin. “Now that you mention it, I think I will join the clan. Let me ask what clan is it?” “Clan Gangrel.” “Yes I will do it, they are the ones that also have profound respect for nature as well as I do. They are the only clan out there I’ve really respected, even though very few reside here. Okay, I am willing to do so. Anything is better than sitting around looking at most of the ugly imps in the bar.”

He takes her hand gently striding into the bar with her. Gangrel was just about to come out on deck. “Edge, perfect timing. Let’s go now. I am very thirsty for blood.” “Gangrel, this is Eliza and she wants to join our clan.” “Okay very well then, you have to embrace her though on your own Edge.” “Of course Gangrel, I intend to be her sire just like Christian is Kathryn’s sire.” Her eyes widen a bit. “Kathryn, I knew a woman by that name that was a close friend of mine. She hasn’t been around here that often. She has beautiful sapphire eyes, and dark brown hair tied into a ponytail. She is very clean and decent. She also has been hurt by some of those male chauvinistic pigs in the bar like Gerard.” Edge chuckles out, “That’s her. She is the one that Christian is in love with.”

A couple minutes later they make it to the castle. Christian is standing guard. They knock on the wooden door. He gently sets Kathryn down in a safe place. Another knock is heard. “All right, who is it?” “Christian, it’s us.” He opens the door slowly. They all stride into the castle. Eliza looks around the castle. Edge stands next to her. Christian carries Kathryn upstairs with him. Eliza draws back her auburn hair. Gangrel sits down in the main room with his wife Luna. She explains the hardship of labor the Sabbats put her through.

Eliza turns toward Edge’s direction asking, “Edge, why do you keep looking at me like that?” “Like what?” “You keep gazing at me as if you have feelings for me.” Edge looks away from her blushing.  She grabs his chin questioning, “Do I detect blushing?” He stands there speechless. “It’s all right Edge if you were.” He looks down at the ground smirking. “Um…Eliza, I want to protect you.” She pulls his chin up again. “Well hun, I want you to protect me.” He wraps his arm around her holding her close. “Don’t worry I will.” She hugs him tightly.

Kathryn awakens in Christian’s arms. She begins to shiver. “Christian, what’s going on, why am I so cold?” “You’re a vampire like me. Vampires get testy when they don’t have enough blood in them. I will buy some blood at the Shadows Bar later on for us.” She kisses him on the lips. He returns the kiss with his own. She closes her eyes. “Oh Christian, I love you.” He touches her cheek gently. “Kathryn, I love you too.” She pulls him on top of her giving him a deep passionate kiss. She slips off his shirt as he slowly unties her bra.

“My Christian, you do have muscles.” She giggles as she leans into another kiss. He gently sets her onto his lap while kissing her. Her nails gently press against his chest. He reaches down to her neck kissing her with deep emotion. She clasps her hands into his while they kiss. He moves further into the kiss making sure that it lingers. She fondles his shoulders and brushes her lips against his lower lip. They continue to make love to each other until they’re satisfied.

Luna stares down at the table sadly. Gangrel notices her nervousness. “Luna, what is it?” “I cannot tell you Gangrel, I’m afraid that you’ll leave me.” Bloody tears swell in her eyes. “Luna, there is no way I can get angry with you unless you did something to love another. Just tell me.” “That man in the bar named Dracon forced me to do things that I never wanted to do. I am sure you know what I am getting at.” Gangrel narrows his eyes with hate. “He did it to you, the truth?” “Yes, he did.” “Then I shall reap revenge on him, perhaps maybe kill him. Where are the Sabbats located?” “West of here, about 10 miles away. Gangrel my dark knight, please don’t go there. You’ll only get yourself killed and I don’t want that. I don’t want to lose you. I love you.” She nuzzles up against him. He holds her tightly. “Gangrel, you are a good man. You taught Christian and Edge well.” “Luna my dear wife, you flatter me.” “You should be.” She kisses his cheek lightly.

Eliza let’s go of Edge finally. “That was amazing Edge, I can’t believe that all this time I was in your arms without saying one single word. I must have fell asleep in your arms. How weird is that?” He glances down into her eyes replying, “It’s not weird, it’s not weird at all. I kind of liked it.” She gently kisses him on the lips. He looks at her a bit surprised. She backs away from him with her back to him. He notices that she looks as if she’s mad. “Eliza, what is it?” “It’s the way you looked at me when I kissed you. You reminded me of someone in the past. I kissed him, then he gave me the same look you just gave me, it’s as if later on you’ll make a joke of it. Hmph.” She mutters aloud.

“No Eliza, it’s not like that at all. I just didn’t expect it. That is all. I don’t go around bragging about those type of things.” “I’m sorry, I overreacted. I’m not used to this Edge. Please forgive my temper.” “Of course I forgive you.” He leans over kissing her cheek. She smiles slightly at him. “Edge, you’re a nice gentleman.” “And you’re very beautiful.” She kisses him lightly on the lips.

Clan Gangrel V.S. The Sabbat Clan By: Melissa O’Brien

A few years pass by. Clan Gangrel is formed. There are many Gothic Warriors in the clan. Eliza and Edge had gotten married before Edge embraced her. Tonight it’s a dark stormy night. Soldiers stand guard outside of the castle in case of an attack. Kathryn tiptoes down the stairs slowly. She hears the thunder and lightening crackle. Christian turns over in his sleep and doesn’t feel her next to him. He jumps out of bed racing down the stairs. She screams when she sees him. “Oh, it’s only you Christian. Whew, you scared me.” “I’m sorry my love, I was just worried about you. Are you okay?”

“Yes I will be. I’m thirsty, is there any blood left in the refrigerator?” “No, we have to buy some.” “But I’m thirsty now. Very thirsty.” He leans down next to her giving her access to his neck. “Here, you can drink the blood from my neck. I’ll have plenty if you at least leave me enough.” She smirks at him as she nibbles on his neck drinking some of his blood. Then she backs away from him thanking him. Gangrel walks in the room. “Is there something wrong with you two? Are you okay?” “Yes, we’re fine.” Kathryn replies as she cuddles up against Christian.

A soldier runs in horrified. “Sire, a nasty group of Sabbats are attacking the some of our clan members outside. We need more defense. They are throwing torches on the ground to kill us. Fire is our enemy.” Gangrel scowls out, “Damn them, rally the men Darren. We are defending for our lives. Christian call Edge immediately.” “There’s no need to, I hear the screaming from outside. We need to be careful when it’s dawn though.” Edge interposed. Kathryn grips Christian’s shoulder tightly. “Please don’t die. I don’t want to lose you.” He touches Kathryn’s cheek telling her, “Don’t worry about me babe. I want to make sure you’re safe.” She buries her head into his neck. He rubs her back. She holds onto him tightly. He notices the ruffles in his shirt.

Eliza snuggles up to Edge laying her head against his chest while they both stand for a few minutes. “Edge hon, please be there with me through it all.” He kisses her forehead. “Of course I will be there for you Eliza.” She hugs him tightly closing her eyes. “Those Sabbats are ferocious.” She added. They hear noises outside, like loud war cries. The sound of metal and iron are crashed. Fire is also heard. They all go outside to confront the Sabbats.

“Dracon, you will pay for what you did to my wife!” Gangrel told him with contempt in his voice. “Foolish Gangrel, we have more power than you can ever dream of.” Both leaders strike one another. Edge and Christian clash with both Hardies. Both Clans quarrel against each other. Many soldiers fight and die. At the end of the bloody war, there are only about 10 survivors.

Edge and Christian walk into the castle with their wives. Gangrel leads the way strutting in holding his wife while limping. “The war will never end, will it Gangrel?” Edge queried. Gangrel raises an eyebrow answering, “I’m afraid not. It never ends. War after war, there is never any peace between the clans. The Sabbats always want bloodshed and chaos. Dracon is alive and so are both Matt and Jeff Hardy. The next century, they will try hiring more men to join them. All we can do is fight for our lives next time. In the interim, we shall have whatever time we have left to make things good for us. No matter how long it lasts, at least we had a certain amount of time to live our Gothic lifestyles.”

Christian holds Kathryn’s hand and kisses it. She smiles slightly. Edge and Eliza decide to hug one another. “No wait everyone, I propose a group hug. After all, we are the only survivors of Clan Gangrel. I wish that everyone in our clan wouldn’t have died.” Kathryn said in a low melancholy voice. They all hug each other. Christian walks upstairs with his wife to the bedroom to rest. Edge and Eliza find their room for the same purpose. Gangrel sits on the couch next to his wife panting. Luna taps him on the shoulder. “My love, are you okay?”

“No I am just exhausted and disgusted with the Sabbats, they always want our land. We live here in some of us are in the wilderness. We don’t harm others, unless we defend ourselves and we fight for good causes. What’s bad about this world is that there never can be peace amongst clans. If it’s not the Sabbats, it has to be the Lupines, mortals, or other clans.” She rests her head on his shoulder. “I guess you’re right, all we can do is enjoy the time we all have together.” “Luna, let’s try thinking positively from here on and stick together.” “Yes Gangrel.”

Christian lies in the bed with his wife beside him. She cuddles up close to him. He slowly closes his eyes. “Christian, I wish this war would end.” “Me too Kathryn, if only all of us can go somewhere peaceful away from the Sabbats. That’s impossible, because there cannot be any good without evil. Let’s rest now please, hopefully things can be calm for a while.” He kisses her forehead. She rests her head on his chest. They both fall asleep.

Edge stands in the doorway with his fingers pressing against his chin thinking. Eliza heads over to him asking with concern, “Are you all right?” He places his hand upon her shoulder looking into her eyes. “I think I will be, the sounds of the war reflect in my mind. I hear the cries of many. It’s not easy to sleep after experiencing something like that. Damn Sabbats! If it wasn’t for their petty selfishness for land and lust for blood, we’d be fine.” “I know Edge, I feel the same way. We all just need to rest, think things over, and try to make the best of things.” He hugs her gently. “You are right, we shall rest now.” When it was dawn, they all were asleep.
