Poor Triniti
By:Emerald

Why anyone would ever want to go and hurt her was beyond my compression. Triniti was a sweet girl, who usually was a sarcastic little thing, but it was always in fun and anyone who knew her also knew it to be true. But one day, news ran into my dorm room that she had been killed. At first the shock was too great for me to understand, she wasn't my best friend but we had always spoken if we saw each other on campus or something. I remember walking down to the street that ran through the South part of my campus and just looked for some place that looked to be a good hiding place to me. I walked over to the little cafe that was about 2 blocks from there, and ordered some coffee. I just sat and thought about the news that had come to me just minutes earlier. Nothing seemed to be making since to me. I mean, why would anyone want to kill someone, more the less Triniti, I don't remember her ever really making anyone mad. She had her moments and all, but nothing to the extent that she should be killed. Later I would find out a lot of things that just seemed to make everything fit in place in a crazy puzzle that had seemed like some terrible nightmare at the time.

As I walked back to my dorm room now very awake, from shock or coffee I'm not quite sure, when I walked past a good friend of mine. He was my boyfriend all through high school and both had gotten a full scholarship to the university, his for football and mine for singing. I sat down on the park bench and spoke to him and released all the confusion that was built up inside of me at the time. He seemed to understand well enough. He comforted me and told me that if I ever need someone to talk to I could just come to him. I would remember that for the rest of my life, for, it was the last time I ever saw Chris.

As I finished my brief walk towards the dorm several things struck me. For one, if someone wanted to kill Triniti, even though she was just an innocent woman trying to make the most out of her life, then what would prevent them from killing me? Also, Triniti had mentioned something about her ex boyfriend, Andrew, getting mad at her and threading to make her pay for embarrassing him by breaking up with him. But if it was Andrew, what would keep me from dying too since my fiancée', Raven, was such good friends with him? Just the thought of Raven acting out in a manner such as that sent chills up my spine. And it didn't help much that I spotted Raven and Andrew headed towards me at that very moment.

I thought about maybe hiding in the thick bushes up beside the Alpha Beta Zora Fraternity House, but it was no use I knew I was spotted when Raven smiled way. Then I saw Andrew grin such an evil grin. "Hey girl. Did you hear about Triniti?" Andrew asked, as he and Raven Laughed loudly. I froze suddenly paralyzed in fear. I mean if you saw your recently deceased friend's ex boyfriend laughing about her murder you wouldn't be just over joked either. "Yeah I heard about a couple of hours ago. Why do you ask?" I replied crossing my arms in front of my chest. "Well, the stupid whore deserved it." Andrew replied, him and Raven laughing again. This was beginning to get really freaky. What's a chic to do? Just sit there? No! So I took off up the stairs in a high speed chase to the dormitory door. Reo, the gate tender that night, saw me coming in at a high speed and threw open the door as I ran threw screaming the someone was after me. "What are you talking about doll, there ain't nothing after ya 'cept the dust you done stirred up on that there high speed chase you did." He said, southern accent shining threw.
