True love does
come at first sight
by: Cindy
"Who is that?" JR asked King as the beautiful young lady walked down to
ringside. She grabbed up one of the tag titles and hit Michael Hayes with
it. Then by distracting Farooq the Hardy Boys had a chance to double team.
Matt pinned Bradshaw and got the one, two, three. "Looks like the Hardy's
have a new manager!" King laughed as Matt hoisted her into the air.
How she wished that is the way she could meet the Hardy Boyz she thought
as she sat in line. But reality kicked in and she saw that she was up next.
Jeff signed her picture and passed it to his brother. "What's your name?"
he asked before he looked up. "Cindy", she replied. He looked up
and saw an angel in front of him. "Well, Cindy how would you like to come
to dinner with me tonight at the hotel?" Matt asked as he handed the autograph
unable to take his eyes off of her. "Sure", she replied amazed at was happening.
This all surprised her because she was in a wheelchair and people usually
shyed away from her. "How does 7 sound?" He asked smiling. He
never seen anyone with such beauty before. "Sounds good to me" she
replied happily. Later that night Matt met Cindy in the hotel lobby. They
had a great dinner and talked all night. "Ok, I know this is short notice
but would you like to come to the house show tomorrow?" He asked hoping
she would come. "Of course!" she said still in shock of meeting him let
alone dinner and then going to a house show with him. The next 2 days were
terrific for the couple. One night while they were outside looking at the
stars Michael Hayes walked by. "Why are you hanging out with that
ugly whore?" he asked harshly. Matt stood up and hit him square in the
face. Then once Hayes hit the ground he pounded him even more. It took
more than 5 guys to pull Matt off of him. Cindy sat amazed that he would
stand up for her like that. But finally the day came, Matt had to go to
the next town for a house show. Neither of them wanted to part, Cindy cried
as she watched him pick up his bags and look at the sign that said "boarding"
for his plane. "Don't cry, I will get back as soon as we get a break,"
Matt said leaning over. They kissed for what seemed like an eternity. He
wiped the warm tears off Cindy's face and waved as he disappeared down
the loading ramp. Cindy sat at home crying "I should have known" she said
scolding herself. She felt as if she was missing something inside. Just
then the door opened. "Hey Cindy," Matt said as he sat his bags down by
the door. "Matt" she said not believing her eyes. "Hey, Vince gave me a
couple of week off, Well actually more like a couple of months Jeff broke
his arms and Vince said to take off until he is able to come back, " Matt
said sitting next to her. "I have missed you so much , it felt like, "
she started. "Half of you was missing? I felt the same way." He said smiling
knowing they were ment to be together, he leaned over and kissed her, they
fell asleep knowing that the other half was back. A couple of months later
Matt and Cindy were married. As they kissed everyone cheered for them.
It felt like a dream she had meeting them when they won and everyone cheered
them. Now that dream did not seem so far fetched. The doctors were working
on a way to get her walking again. She knew with Matt by her side she was
ready to conqure anything that came her way. Matt and the doctors worked
everyday with Cindy, then on September 23 Cindy had a surprise for Matt
because it was his birthday. Matt just walked in the door and Cindy told
him to stay there at the door because she wanted to show him something.
With the doctors with Cindy slowly stood up from her wheelchair and started
to slowly and very carefully walk towards Matt. Matt had tears of joy and
happiness in his eyes because his beautiful wife was walking towards him
and he was very proud of her. "So how do you like your birthday present
I just gave you?" Cindy asked Matt. "Cindy, I am very proud of you and
I love you more than anything in this world." Matt told Cindy as he picked
her up and gave her a hug and a kiss.
