The Vampire Ways
Ah, the ways of the Vampire. So many to list, let's see where to start. First off there are a variety of types of vampires the two most common are Psychic and Blood.

Psychic Vampires feed off the aura which is what surrounds your body and tells your mood and personality. They feed by forming a psychic connection through your mind and suck away a small amount of your aura leaving you weakened and in need of food, drink or immediate rest.

Blood Vampires feed of course on blood and are more well known then the psychic variety. The major areas they feed off of are wrist, groin, and neck. Basically because those are where the major artieries and such are. The younger the blood vampire is the more often it needs to feed and more sensetive it is to light and other things of that nature.

The ways to kill or harm a vampire, well for starters direct contact with sunlight and/or ultra violet rays. This will serverly burn a vampires sensitive skin. Another well known way is Living wood through the heart (a.k.a stake or sharp stick.) this goes back to Vlad Dracul who impaled his victims on stakes to show authority. Running water, Rain and holy water all have the same basic effect on vampires which is burning of the flesh. Garlic is used to repell vampires, hung in rings or wreaths over doorways or windows or even sometimes around the neck. Crosses tend to emit white light and burn brightly when they come in contact with preternatural flesh but it depends on if the person wearing it has faith in God, an atheist wearing a cross in the presense of a vampire won't do any good as a weapon. Silver (yes silver not only werewolves hate it.), more effective is blessed silver, will cause a wound to heal almost humanly slow when used on a vampire.

The most classic way to slay a vampire is to hammer a wooden stake through it's heart, behead it placing the head away from the neck stump and shoving garlic into the mouth. Another way is to burn it alive and scatter the ashes at the cross roads or somewhere they will not be aloud to come together again.

Vampires can not be seen in mirrors or other shiny surfaces including pools of water.

Vampires all have obsesional compulsion disorders. This can be funny. If you happen to be being attacked by a vampire throw rice or marbles, or something along those lines, all over the floor and a vampire will stop and pick it all up before it continues its persuit. That is just one of the many examples.

Vampires are of course creatures of the night. They sleep during the day and are active at night. The older a vampire is the earlier it can rise. Young vampires usually must wait until atleast full dark before raising from their coffins.

Coffins are the normal sleeping accomodations for most vampires. This again depends on age, the older vampires can sometimes sleep in beds, closets, basements and other dark places. Some vampires must sleep in or around their home soil.(this is another from Dracula and the Nosferatu Clan.) or the sleep will be restless and sooner or later will drive the vampire mad.

Vampires can change forms. The two basic forms are Bat and Wolf. But it is said that vampires can change into just about any animal form they like as the age over takes them. Female vampires sometimes choose cats as their main animal while males stick to wolves. Another form is mist, vampires can turn into mist and pass through small spaces to get in without being noticed. Of course a Vampire can not enter a home or cross a threshold without first being invited in. Once the vampire is invited in then it can come and go as he pleases.

A vampire or vampiress's looks can vary. Most have extremely pale white skin, nails that resemble glass, clear and totally bloodless, they usually appear beautiful and sensuous in order to attract prey. Middle eastern vampires tend to be dark skinned and as they age the skin grows darker instead of paler. Some vampires tend to look more animalistic with pointed ears and jaws with rows of sharp teeth instead of just fangs.

Now on to fangs. There are different types of fangs, some are eye teeth fangs (think classic vampire movie.) others have double fangs, one set of eye teeth fangs and a another set right behind them. (interview with the vampire.) Others have multiple rows in the front that take up their whole upper and lower jaw. (Nosferatu.) There are occasions where the teeth will grow just before the vampire decides to feed making the fangs completely unnoticable any other time.
