Alan-a-Dale Full Name: Alan-a-Dale
The rooster narrator of Robin Hood Alan-a-Dale is another of the many characters that just appeal to me for some unknown reason. He's not particularly handsome, interesting, or humorous. He just...I don't know. I guess it goes back to his voice again.
He made a Roger Miller fan of me. Which is quite the accomplishment. I am not really into that time period or style of music, but Roger Miller is funny. I loved the music in the movie, so I was eager to listen to my mom's tape when I found it. You've got to love it, no matter how ridiculous the lyrics are.
But this isn't the page about Roger Miller, it's the page about Alan-a-Dale. So, I have to come up with something interesting to say about him. Umm...lessee...It has to be his attitude. He always sounds so dreary, despite the fact that he isn't depressed or anything. And he's a musician. I love those musicians.
