Dimitri
Full Name Given: Dimitri
Dimitri is the smart-alecky con-man behind the scheme to get rich quick off
the disappearance of the princess Anastasia, doing stuff like "holding
auditions to find an Anastasia look alike" (Dowager Empress Marie). When by
chance he finds the perfect girl for the job, Anya. He convinces her to go
with him to Paris, claiming he can help her find her family.
Dimitri has a wonderfully smooth sounding voice, which enables him to
convince Anya to go with his little scheme (though she's not aware of that),
and also helps him sound sincere, whether he is or not. With a voice like
that, he could probably get almost anything he wanted, or talk his way out of
a sticky situation.
Dimitri is rather conceited at the beginning of the movie, and greedy. I
guess you could call him a mercenary. However, he does develop a crush on
Anastasia early on, though he can't admit it. Toward the middle, he does
admit it to himself, and by the end of the movie, his emotions get the best
of him and he comes to her rescue. Other than being conceited and greedy,
Dimitri also displays stubbornness, a sense of humor on several occasions
(such as the train scene), bravery, wit, and of course, love.
A handsome young man, Dimitri also has a splendid sense of style. The clothes
you most often see him are a white long-sleeved undershirt, a slightly
darker-white buttoned-down shirt with the sleeves more often than not rolled
up to a bit above his elbows (or it could be really light blue, or off-white
even...it's hard to tell), a dark green vest left open, and brown slacks.
(and I hope you would assume he wears socks and shoes). Other "outfits" would
include a formal tux, the suit he wore while strolling the streets of Paris,
and what looks like the "rest" of the suit he wears most often.
