Miguel

Full Name: Miguel
Age: mid to late 20s?
Occupation: con-artist
Voice: Kenneth Branagh

If Tulio is Cat, then Miguel is Dog (as in CatDog). And they are very similar to those characters.

Miguel is not nearly as smart as Tulio, not that he’s dumb or anything, and nowhere near as cute. But he certainly has the more amiable personality. He is so sweet, and his love for children and animals is a major part of the reason he’s one of my favorites. He’s so playful that you can’t help but love him. Plus, he is musically inclined.

I admire him greatly for passing up the trip back to Spain to stay in El Dorado because he was brave enough to go his own way, but I admire him even more for his decision to save Tulio and Chel, despite the fact that Tulio was a bit of a (okay, a total) jerk to him.

And I absolutely love his voice. I know I’ve said it a trillion times over, but I adore British accents. It still bothers me that he and Tulio were Spanish and they had British and American accents, but at least they had nice voices.

Tulio got the best lines, but Miguel was quite humorous, as well. He stuck mainly to the visual jokes, though. Two of the funniest parts in the movie were his puppy face and his “menacing” claw thing. Even so, there were two lines of his that I really liked.

Miguel’s Quotes:

Tulio: “You know that voice? Just pretend for a minute that you have one. What would that voice say about Chel?”
Miguel: “Rowl!” (or however you spell it)

"Don't make me start it up again, 'cause I will."
