The latest in a string of feeble attempts to stir up interest in this site.

Thanks to Animania, I’ve got a new contest for ya!

Alrighty, now, the object of the game is to come up with the most impressive casting of cartoon characters in the epic live-action adventure, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Simple, right? Good. Got a few of rules for ya, then.

The Rules of the Game

  1. The minimum requirement for entry is the five characters in the “Main Characters” field on the next page. While the others are not necessary, please bear in mind that I wracked my brain for several…minutes trying to make sure I had included all of the characters in the list, so that could potentially affect your score.
  2. Feel free to include a short explanation as to why a character would be suited to the part. This could also be very beneficial.
  3. Cartoon characters may be double cast, but only if the two parts are not needed in the same scene. Exceptions to this rule are Patsy/Green Knight, Launcelot/French Guard, Launcelot/Tim, Robin/Brother Maynard, and Galahad/Second Brother, as the Pythons pulled it off.
  4. Judging is done blindly. Similarly, I will not be a judge. I want this to be as fair as possible. If you would like an explanation as to how it will be done blindly, drop me a line at staticcling@Megavolt.zzn.com. Explaining stuff has become sort of a hobby for me.
  5. In judging, our chief concern is humor...humor and creativity...creativity and humor... Our two concerns are creativity and humor...and completeness... Our three concerns are creativity, humor, and completeness...and relativity... Our four...no... Amongst our concerns.... Amongst our concerns...are such elements as creativity, humor.... I'll come in again.
    5. In judging, there is no rubric whatsoever. In fact, on second thought, I’ll leave that aspect entirely up to the judges. You’ll have to take it up with them.
  6. Additional assistance in casting can be found at http://www.montypython.net in the form of a most excellent script and nearly complete cast list.
  7. Lastly, I'll tell you exactly what the prize is as soon as I find one. (I'm just on top of things, aren't I?)

So, would you like to continue?

Give me the form, Webmistress. I am not afraid.
