Name: Captain Chaotica!!
Alias(es): Robin Chesterfield, Chaos Theory T. Echidna, Gigawatt, Morgan K. Flynn, Emperor Cartagia, Keela Shanri, Notorious, the Mistress Control Program....I dislike sticking with any one identity for too long, it lets the cops catch up with ya! BWAHAHAHAAH!
DOB: That is secret government information and if you knew it, I would have to kill you. No offense, you understand
Website: Sandopolis
Psychological Profile: Well, I'm tiny, I'm toony, I'm MORE than a
little loony...er, wait a minute, that's starting to
sound a bit familiar...Er. Well. What needs to be
said? I'm obsessed with cartoons and video games, I
can and do go into lots of different voices at the
drop of a hat, I'm good enough at fake British accents
to fool REAL British people occasionally (no kidding;
this actually happened), and I have a very hot temper
that goes off in a second--yet I'm also basically a
nice happy-go-lucky person until you get me mad. I
never forget a grudge, but I also never forget a
friend.
I love cats, but hate dogs. I ADORE writing and
drawing, and have a tendency to make humourous
wisecracks practically ALL THE TIME, no matter what
the situation, even when it's hideously inappropriate.
:P Speaking of laughter, sometimes, through no fault
of my own, my laugh turns into this bizarre raspy
high-pitched nasal cackle, and sounds almost EXACTLY
like Megavolt's....what's really odd is, I can't do
his normal _speaking_ voice to save my life.
Other "psychological" influences: I'm a science/art
geek and, being rather small, always got beat up and
made fun of in school for being "different", so I
heartily sympathise with nerd characters who flip out
and get revenge, not naming any names...
And yes, I HAVE actually been known to stab
schoolmates with pencils.
...and forks...
...and to break chairs over their heads in band
class*...
...and to grab the hoods of their sweatshirts and pull
so hard that I half-strangled them and knocked them
over on their backs...
...ahem. Like I said. TEMPER. Ahem... _Yeah_.
*actually all I did was make the seat part come loose from the metal frame, and it already HAD two of its screws missing and the last loose anyway. NO COMMENTS from the peanut gallery about "loose screws", thank you, it's been DONE, it's OBVIOUS, try to be a little more original, please? I mean, really. Have some pride. What was I talking about again?
Obsessions: I play Dungeons and Dragons type games,
and my favourite class is a Bard. I adore Discworld,
MST3K, Darkwing Duck, Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura,
Sailor Moon, Count Duckula, Hitchhiker's Guide to the
Galaxy, Star Trek in all its forms (especially Deep
Space Nine and Voyager), Babylon 5, and the Chronicles
of Prydain, where my favourite character is Fflewddur
Fflam (NATCH!) and which got me obsessed with Welsh
legends, culture and language.
I am totally into time-travel, especially the Back to
the Future movies and cartoon. I loved the Legend of
Zelda cartoon and also the Dungeons and Dragons one.
I'm into Harry Potter, Shannara, Xanth, Dragonlance,
Landover, the Myth Adventures series, the Death Gate
Cycle... ...and I've got almost 150 Choose Your Own
Adventures, which I started collecting when I was 8
years old. What I have includes books that you cannot
get at ALL anymore, tons of them--and the original
ORIGINAL versions of the earliest books, such as the
Cave of Time and so forth, with the original titles
and original artwork and cover art. Too bad I dragged
them with me everywhere and totally dog-eared them to
death. :P
I got a personal e-mail response to the review I wrote
of "The Cave of Time" at Amazon.com from EDWARD
PACKARD himself!!!! the guy who not only wrote that
book, but started the whole Choose Your Own Adventure
series _and_ kicked off the whole genre of interactive
"pick-your-path" fiction ITSELF!
I think it's a Sign of Obsession that I consider that
e-mail to be one of the high points of my life. :)
Then there's MUSIC!!!! Music, music, music! (dances
and capers all over the place like a loon, attempts to
juggle three things at once but drops one on her foot
and then pretends she never tried at all). I have TOO
many favourite groups to name, and I usually go more
by songs than groups (most of my CDs are "Various
Artists:" themed mixes), but let's just say, if it's
good, I'll like it. I HATE country and rap, but there
are a couple songs in both genres that I do like. I
also hate New Age, and this I'm not compromising on.
My FAVOURITE genre of music at the moment is New
_Wave_, an energetic, colourful, and very varied
(that's fun to say! Very varied! Very varied! Very
var-OW! okay, I'll stop, sheesh....) type that tends
to have fast fun beats, lots of futuristicy
synthesizers, and often bizarre/creative/offbeat
lyrics, including some that outright sound like
they're telling a science-fiction story to song. I
LOVE those! :) It's a very funky and weird style of
music, but _so_ fun.
I'm also obsessed with music TRIVIA and history. I
used to watch "My Generation", a music Jeopardy like
show on VH1, all the time...and I could beat the
actual Baby Boomer-aged contestants at information
about music from the '50s and '60s...and I WASN'T EVEN
_BORN_ THEN! :P Heh... I have TOO many favourite
characters to name! Don't ask me to, please, we'd be
here all day... Wait, we already have been. Uh,
whoops?
Other Information: What? You want to know more? Is that what you're asking me? That you want to know MORE?! Well, I'm going to tell you more! Do you want to know why? (grabs the listener by their collar and shakes them back and forth, shrieking more and more hysterically with every syllable) Do you want to know WHY I'm going to TELL you more? Because you ASKED me, THAT'S why!!!!
(Sorry, that's a paraphrased bit from a very silly movie called "Start the Revolution Without Me", which gets quoted around my house all the time.) Er, well, what else is there? I guess a physical description, huh? Okay, I'm a 5'0", more or less slender, small-boned woman with very long (waist-length) medium brown hair with coppery red highlights (it's about the colour of an old-ish, but not _rusty_, penny), glasses with big wide lenses but they're not very thick, and delicate red wire frames, and eyes that are a combination of blue, grey, and green, and pick which one out of the three they feel like leaning towards from moment to moment. (Also known as "Chameleon Grey", or the blue version of hazel, as compared to the brown/gold version.) My ancestry is basically the entire British Isles--English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh--with a bit of Native American mixed in, too (Cherokee). I'm a direct descendant of Daniel Boone. No, really. Ancestry wise I'm probably more Scottish than anything else--I'm about half Scot.
I've been told I resemble:
--Aeris Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7 (video game)
--Belldandy from "Oh! My Goddess!" (these two
characters strongly resemble EACH OTHER, actually.)
--A _short_ Jadzia Dax from Star Trek: Deep Space
Nine. Well, I tried dressing up as her once for a Star
Trek convention, including the uniform and the spots
alongside my head/neck, and everybody just went around
FREAKING who saw me, all day long, including my own
family. I had people pointing and whispering as if I
was really a celebrity, yelling, "HEY, DAX, OVER
HERE!" or "Look! It's DAX!" and the dealers in the
Dealers' Room were yelling out things like, "Special
discount for Trills, only three strips of gold-pressed
latinum!" So I _must_ resemble her a bit, considering
the reaction... Never mind the fact that I'm an entire
FOOT shorter than Terry Farrell (the actress who plays
Jadzia)!! Snicker.
--And last but not least, when we were first watching
"Labyrinth" as a family together on tape, my mother
looked at Sara, then looked at me, and said, "You
know, she kind of looks like you." So I guess I
resemble Jennifer Connelly a bit, only with lighter
hair and eyebrows. And, of course, I wear glasses. :P
