GOD IN AMERICA

Over 200 years ago, Young, American giants, claiming a violation of more than 27 different Biblical values, broke the chains of tyranny from Great Britain, and the United States of America was born.

In regard to Great Britain, George Washington was quoted as saying

"they failed to consider the omnipotence of the true God, who is alone able to guide them."(in God we trust)

A rare array of genius such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Samuel Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Paine and Chief of Justice John Jay combined their wisdom, their prayers, and their committed faith in God, and wrote what we now call the Declaration of Independence; with LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. Even though each of their religious backgrounds was widely varied, they held one main thread in common. That thread was a committed faith in God, and the teachings in His Word, The Bible.

During the deliberations that were held for the writing of our declaration, Benjamin Franklin said, "I therefore beg-that henceforth, prayers imploring the assistance of heaven and its blessings on our deliberations, every morning before we proceed. As for Jesus of Nazarareth, I think the system of morals and his religion as he left them to us in the Holy Bible, are the best the world ever saw, or is likely to see." (In God we trust)

Thomas Jefferson said, "The God who gave us life, gave us our liberty at the same time," and that the Bible was the "cornerstone for American liberty,"(God in America) he also said,"The Bible in its moral, literary and historical aspects has a definite place in ALL school curriculums, to develop ones duties, to God and to others." "It should have a basis formed that is common to all sects, and any school without this is a monstrosity" (Familiar quotations) Then, he put the Bible in our early schools as a light.

Patrick Henry said that, "Our country was founded on the principles of Jesus Christ." (In God we trust) In his "Give me liberty, or give me death" speech, he mentions God three times and makes six separate scriptural quotations from Gods' word, the Bible. In discussing the declaration as it was being written, he was recorded as stating, "religion, the duty that we owe to God, can be directed only by reason and conviction. Not by force." "and ALL ARE EQUALLY ENTITLED TO THE FREE EXERCISE OF RELIGION, according to the dictates of their own conscience. It is the mutual duty of all to practice Christianity." (Familiar quotations)

In the year of 1920, the American civil liberties union, (ACLU) was formed; supposedly to protect the rights of Americans, as set forth in our constitution. Their mission statement is recorded as follows: "To maintain and advance civil liberties including the freedoms of association, press, religion, and speech." The ACLU claims it is neither "liberal nor conservative," but rather "an organization devoted exclusively to protecting the basic civil liberties of all Americans" (ACLU newsletter)

However, John Holmes, one of the organizations original board members, confessed that the ACLU's real agenda was the cause of radicalism, and that it was only using the "civil liberties issue." (focus on the family) The founder, anti war socialist Roger Baldwin said "civil liberties are useful only as tools for social change." (focus on the family)

And change our society they did . . . In 1962, They were one of the main forces responsible for banning prayer, the Bible, and any mention of God from our schools. They stated that "the voluntary nature of student observance was immaterial,"(oxford companion) even though a major portion of the American populace is in favor of school prayer! They were the main force behind banning censorship laws, allowing pornography to flood our streets like open sewers. They believe that the first amendment protects all pornography, including child pornography! (aclu policy #4) They defend the legalization of all drugs; including heroin, crack, angel dust ect.. (aclu policy #210) They support the legalization of prostitution, (aclu police #211) and support the idea that the phrase "under God" in our pledge of allegiance and the words "in God we trust" on our currency is unconstitutional. (Aclu policy #84) They are actively involved in pressuring schools to reject Bible clubs, despite a federal law protecting them; working very hard to defeat all pro-life laws; they promote the legalization of assisted suicide, and even claim that metal detectors in airports are unconstitutional!! The list goes on and on. They have literally created a system of religious apartheid, while venomously fighting against all of the moral standards that Christians stand for. They are religious bigots. They are now involved in urging courts to enact laws that would forbid "any Christian speech, biblical quotations, or even the mention of the scriptural references that refer to homosexuality as being a sinful abomination." If they could be given free reign, they would completely censor everything out of the Bible that did not fit their agenda. Perhaps even have Gods' word completely removed from our country.

The ACLU is eager to protect the free speech of communists and child pornographers, but it wants to silence Christians. Dr. Whitehead, of the Rutherford institute said, "They want more than a wall of separation between church and state, they want an iron curtain"

Quite the contrary of what the ACLU says about The first amendment to our constitution. That amendment declares that "congress shall make no law (1) respecting an establishment of religion, or (2) prohibiting the free exercise thereof."(U.S. constitution)

In 1776, the "separation of church and state" was introduced. This idea was originally written in response to the reign of Queen Mary, who at the time was banning personal possession of the Bible, and forbidding personal worship. (Freedom under fire) (sound familiar?) Our founding fathers wrote this clause to support the idea that the Bible should be readily accessible to all, and the government could not, and must not, dictate how any man, woman or child should believe. Jefferson stated, "faith can best survive when it is relieved of the burden of governing, through enforced belief."(in God we trust)

Now, it is 1999. Due to the interpretation that is now held of "separation of church and state," and the work of some very crafty ACLU lawyers, God has almost completely been eliminated from the equation of our schools. Also removed are the Christian standards and values upon which our government was founded . In doing this, we have eliminated the reason that our country first began. Of the 55 men who formed the constitution, 52 were active members in their churches. Did you know that Noah Webster, author of the Webster Dictionary, could literally quote the bible, chapter and verse?

At the signing of the Declaration, James Madison was quoted, "we have staked our future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments!" (Carman ministry) Our founding fathers believed that you couldn't even call yourself an American if you did not value and follow the Word of God! George Washington, in his farewell address was recorded as saying, "you can't have national morality apart from religious principle." (Britannia encyclopedia)

Let's take a look at some of the statistics. Right now, we have probably 150,000 kids carrying guns or knives to these war zones we call public schools. In the 40's and 50's, student problems were chewing gum and talking. Now, rape and murder are the trends. America is now number one in teen pregnancy and violent crime. By the time a child graduates high school, they have seen 70,000 murders on television. We are number one in illiteracy, number one in drug use and number one in divorce. We have one million teenage runaways each year. There is a teen suicide every ninety minuets. Every day at least 5000 unborn children are aborted; Murdered in the name of "convenience," and "freedom of choice." Killed with our governments approval. Drunk driving will claim more lives this year than the entire Vietnam war. Is that what you call freedom?

Abe Lincoln said that " the philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government of the next." (Carman ministries)

I believe that it is time for America to stand up and boldly proclaim that ONE NATION UNDER GOD IS OUR DEMAND, and let the word of God revive our dying land. If we want to see our nation heal; we need to stop handing out condoms, and start handing out the word of God in our schools!! We need God in America again. This is a vital and necessary step in the direction our country must take if we plan to begin healing the social ills that now attack us with the death sentence of a Black Plague.

Let's look at all the things that the ACLU is taking great measures to protect. Gangs, Divorce, Abortion, Drug abuse, Alcoholism, Murder, Rape, Suicide, Violent crimes, Hate crimes, Prejudice, Exploitation of little children, and Pornography. All in the name of freedom of speech and freedom of choice; Which IS ours! The ACLU's perverted views, Or Biblical values. You choose. I believe that the only hope for America is JESUS.

The only hope for our country is clearly spelled out for us in His WORD.

The BIBLE.

WE NEED GOD IN AMERICA AGAIN.

WAKE UP AMERICA.

LETS GO BACK TO THE VALUES AND BELIEFS THAT OUR COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON.

THAT FOUNDATION IS THE TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY TRUE AND FIRM FOUNDATION.

WE NEED GOD...IN OUR LIVES;

AND IN AMERICA, AGAIN!
