JESUS Christ as written in John 5:34 such as in the Lamsa Bible Translation #1. "But I do not receive any testimony from men; but I tell you these things so that you may be saved". Many have opted to translate into the words "so that you may be saved" as shown here.
Yet rather JESUS Christ Edifyingly is not wasting words, hence the notion that the phrase "so that you may be saved" may refer not merely to [full repentance and] Immersion Baptism, yet also as indicated with these next 5 Translations perhaps to continue beyond the Godsling (Main Page Definitions) of "[full repentance and] Immersion Baptism".
Translation #2. Haweis New Testament "But I receive not testimony from man: but I speak these things, that ye may believe" hence not about a mere moment of belief, as rather believing.
Translation #3. Aramaic Bible in Plain English "But I was not receiving the testimony of a man, but I say these things that you may live", not to live a moment and die, but to continue living.
Translation #4. Mace New Testament "not that I need the testimony of men: but this I tell you, for your own security" hence not merely a moment of "security", but ongoing [important safety and similarly] "security"].
Translation #5. the Greek word "σωθῆτε" means "save yourself" (https://translate.google.com/?sl=el&tl=en&text=%CF%83%CF%89%CE%B8%E1%BF%86%CF%84%CE%B5&op=translate) and a sane Person and not severely depressed nor about illness, would opt to continue living (like as stated above).
Also the word "living" appears hence again in the sense of continuing, rather than one part of the sentence about Eternal while about the balance merely in the temporary sense.
