As written in John 6:24 English Revised Version "when the multitude therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus". Many translations wrote the crowd or the people, though as evidenced from previous verses is rather "the multitude" translation, as Ellicott's Commentary also stated at jesusbibleformulasJohn6v23.html.
