Kapadokya (ie. Cappadocia)
Yesterday I visited an underground city with eight levels in which 10,000 people lived - totally amazing!
So, it's been great writing to you. Feel free to write back and give me a week or two to get back to you (who knows what Internet access is like in Syria and Jordan?), I love hearing from anyone/everyone back home.
God bless you and keep you if you know him,
love Gavin.

I'm now in Kapadokya which is a wonderfully mysterious place (see attached photograph), where disney-like towers of stone stand awkwardly in silent
congregations. Sometimes you feel like you're walking on the moon or another planet. The desert scenes in the original Star Wars movie were set here - the
ones where Luke is speeding across the ground on his hover vehicle. Inside these rock towers, many early Christians hid from various persecutors.
