Dear Mary,
I have some information on the cave near Cushman, Ark. There's a young guy here, about 25 years old. He's a real husky, stocky guy, like a weight lifter. Anyhow, this guy is from Cushman, Ark., and he knows of Blowing Cave. He said he's been about one mile back in the cave and even lived in the cave for a period of about seven months. He also said that there's a hairy giant that lives in the cave. When I asked him if it was a Yeti or Sasquatch, he said, 'no,' but he may not be familiar with it called by that name, and may call it something else. He said that a lot of people who went into the cave never came out, and on weekends a lot of people go to the cave to drink, and might try to pick a fight. From what he said, there are a lot of passages in the cave and it's not very well explored. He also mentioned that carbides and flashlights go out when you go so far back and breathing is harder the deeper you go. What kind of lighting shall we use? I've heard something about lanterns (sulfur). Have you heard of this?
