Mother's Lullaby

Asleep, asleep...My children are fast asleep,
Lying so peacefully, dreaming of life...
I cherish them, love them while they are young;
For soon they'll be grown, and I will be alone.

I watch them sleeping, dreaming,
With such beauty in their rest;
I feel God's presence watching
My wee birds in their nests...

Asleep, asleep...My babies are fast asleep;
Angels are singing sweet stories of LOVE...
And Heavenly Father looks down and smiles,
While He extends MERCY from Heaven above...

Sing La-la-la-la, La-la-la-la,
God mends broken hearts--
He gathers all the shattered pieces,
And glues the parts.
