The Road of Life

My path continues to turn and wind
And I never see too far ahead
Because I must be good and trust
That Jesus will keep us housed and fed.

It no longer matters that I am poor
Or have few friends along the way;
It only takes an occasional boost
To brighten and warm each new day.

When evening comes and I look back,
I notice that there is always change,
Some big, or some tiny as a snip of thread,
And all are things I did not arrange.

So life unfolds in a rainbow array
Of happenings meant to educate,
Useful knowledge of Eternal worth
Which opens up a pleasant gate

To wonderful, personal development
God means for each to have...
With Love He mends each broken heart
And pours in His comforting sweet-smelling salve.
