The Little Spider
There is a little spider
Living in my window sill.
He really shouldn't be there,
Even though he means no ill.
"What are you doing
Little spider, in my room?
You should be out in the garden
Where all the flower's are in bloom."
"Come, little spider,
And I shall take you outside.
Where you can watch the green grass grow
And soft clouds drifting by."
Now outside, the little spider
Can build a brand new web...
Up high in a tree top,
Or in a flower bed.
Although the spider shouldn't be inside,
Outside he is our friend.
Catching insects is his job...
And now this is the end. by Celia Helen Tracycopyright © 2001 Celia Helen Tracy |
