Definition:
I will remain free by choosing good over evil and will accept responsibility for my choices.
Scriptural Reference:
Joshua 24:15 "Choose you this day whom ye will serve;...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
ACTIVITIES:
Read the parable of the Ten Virgins and ask the girls which virgin they would want to be. Talk about the symbols used (ie. Bridegroom = the Savior, the Marriage Feast = exaltation) and then present each girl with a bottle. Tell them that every time they pray or attend seminary or read their scriptures that they should put a few drops in, so they can be reminded about what the Lord wants for them.
On a table, put a white table cloth on one half and a black table cloth over the other half. In the middle, put arrows pointing both ways. One the white tablecloth, place items such as the scriptures or church tapes on it, and on the black table cloth, put cigarette or beer ads and other evil items. Explain to the girls that they can only choose one path in life, and that remind them that they "cannot serve God and Mammon."
