So Tenderly My Child
So Tenderly I held you as you came into this world.
The tears of Joy ran down my face,
As I lifted you close to me I kissed your gentle face.
I could not believe that you were here such a precious gift.
With Each moment I became closer to you,
And with each day I felt my life fulfilled.
I would sit and watch you as you lay sleeping
Dreaming of Angels,
With little sweet and gentle smiles.
I could see the miracle of life right before my eyes.
I held you so dearly to my heart,
Knowing I had part of Heaven.
