========================= Hooked Up and Blissed Out ========================= Shane knew that the smart thing to do would be to just turn back and go to his own room, but he was hooked now, in a very bad way. There was no way that he would sleep if he did not go to see Sean - he would of just laid in bed all night, drunk with need. That's right Shane, he thought, his mind's voice thick with dry wit, you just think what you want. You just think what it takes to get your ass what it needs. This was not good, he knew. The smart thing to do would of been to just quit all at once. Screw the pain it would cause, at least it would break him free of his _want_. His burn. But, he thought, it was too late now. And in way, it felt good to think that way, it helped to lift the guilt. He raised his hand to knock on the door, felt proud when he paused for just a breath, then stood - his back tense and arms straight at his sides as he stalled on the front step. It was cool for spring, the night air sharp and fresh on his bare neck and arms, and the moon was a bright, flat, coin in the sky. The stars winked down at him. _We know what you came for_, they told him, their tones as sly as his own mind's had been. _So much for the big, strong, man. Tsk. It must be such a shame to have no will of one's own._ Shut up, Shane told it. And felt his mind snap to the door as it swung back to show Sean, his black hair wet and limp, and dressed in a pair of loose sweat pants. "Shane?" "Uh, yeah. Hey, Sean." They stood for a while, gazes locked in twin deep brown beams, and as Sean leaned on the door, he gave a sly smile. "Oh, I get it. All right. Come in, Shane." Shane was not sure if he sighed, but by that point, he could not care less. So what if Sean knew that Shane was his now? It did not take a great mind to guess that one. "Thanks. I, uh - did I catch you in the sh - " "No," Sean cut him off and waved to the bed. "I just got out. Have a seat. You look good." He took off his shoes and sat on the bed, his legs crossed and a meek smile on his face. "I, uh - had a date," he said. He laughed, "But I said I had a flu bug and stood her up. All I could think of was you, and...well...you know." Sean gave a shy smile of his own, "Yeah, I know. I feel a bit bad that I got you hooked on this stuff, I hope you don't hate me, man." Voice firm, Shane shook his head. "No way, Sean, uh uh! I mean, sure - at first I was a bit mad - you know - 'cause of the law and all, and it does hit a bit close to home. But it's like - it makes me feel so good, and I just can't seem to stop! The more I get, the more I want. And, well - I like it." Shane shrugged, "Don't stress it, Sean. Just get the crap out and lets start. I'd do it in my own room, but it's just more fun with a friend." Bent over the bed to pick up the black box, Sean paused, looked up with a half-smile. "I'm your friend? For real?" "Yeah! Jeez - dumb ass," Shane shook his head and tossed a fond smile Sean's way. "'Course, you are." "Good." There was a slight flare of blue light as the lap top glowed to life, and then a buzz and twang as it found a hook-up to the 'net. Sean clicked on the right URL and both men let out a blissed-out sigh. "She put some new fics up," Sean said. "Yay!" **This story was written with entirely one syllable words - did ya notice? :)**
