DOUJINSHI: (dough-jeen-shee) 1. Unofficial works of illustrated fiction, usually created as a 'labor of love' by a group of artists called a 'circle'. Simply put, "the comic book equivalent of fanfiction".
LEMON: (9_9) 1. Consisting of or including graphic description/s of sexual actions or relationships, without bias as to what gender/s are involved. Often considered 'hardcore', those under 18 years of age are usually forbidden to read/view this type of work. Simply put, "lovemaking and/or sex". [see also: LIME]
LIME: (Not the character from Saber Marionettes) 1. Alluding to or containing allusions to sex and/or lovemaking, without graphic description. Considered 'softcore', it's usually OK for those aged 14-and-up. Simply put, "implied sexual relationships". [see also: LEMON]
SHONEN-AI: (shyo-nen-eye) 1. Romantic relationship/s between males. 2. Pertaining to, describing, and/or mentioning romance between males. Simply put, "boy-boy flirting, holding hands, and shimmery-eyed glances, but nothing steamier than kissing."
YAOI: (Yow-wee) 1. Sexual relationship/s between males. 2. Pertaining to, describing, and/or mentioning sexual relationship/s between males. Simply put, "boy-boy lovemaking".
YURI: (You-ree) 1. The female equivalent of YAOI. Simply put, "girl-girl lovemaking".
