Night

Darkness .. steals thru my mind
  Light.. expelled and left behind

 Fear.. I feel it crawling in
 Pain.. an unforgiven sin

  "Why?".. I whisper in despair
  Afraid.. of one who isn't there

 Tears.. I wish that they would come
 But.. they can't, for I am numb

  Cold.. steals thru my soul
   Night.. the darkness takes it's toll

  Breath.. becomes so rare
   Is.. someone standing there?

 I.. don't understand at all
  Those.. shadows on the wall 

 No one.. will ever see my plight
  For I.. am a pris'ner of the night.
