So, Ya want the cold hard facts, eh????? Well, come on in to the cabin, grab a cup of tea, (over there on the wood stove hun), and sit awhile, I HAVE been known to go on!!!!!

Running

I have lived most of my life in the Yukon, which is in northern Canada. My life there was spent mostly in isolation, compared with living "outside", that is! But it afforded me the opportunity to try many, many different things that I would otherwise not have been able to try. I have a simple and uncluttered way of looking at the world. I dislike people who lie and deceive, people whose motives are self-serving and cruelty in any form. I am intense about respecting the need for kindness in others and, regrettably, am too easily hurt when treated unkindly myself. I love the bush and all that you can learn from it, and I have spent many years living with nature. My seven year old son loves animals and talks about them constantly. He is a walking encylopedia with facts about everything you can imagine regarding animals. I asked him one time what made him love animals so and he told me he was "touched by nature". He said it with such innocent abandon that it made me catch my breath. I am proud that I was able to provide him with the opportunity to develop such a sensitive and nurturing "gene". *S* I ran a trapline by dogteam for several years and cherish the lessons that that experience taught me. All of our twelve dogs were malamutes, but two of them were part wolf. Their names were Taku and Tagish, and two finer creatures never existed. Tagish and I had a special bond, the nature of which I have tried, and failed many times, to put into words.

I am passionate about women's issues and child abuse. I believe that women can change things for themselves by treating each other with the gentle respect that helps us all to grow. If we nurture, we heal. This is true in every aspect of our lives, but we have to start by nurturing and caring about ourselves first. I have provided a link to "Pathway of the Heart". This site is worth visiting, please go there and see. Michael's poetry was written with an honest passion that made me cry.

My other interests are writing, competition shooting and placer mining. (And of course "fishin'".) I believe that we have a responsiblilty to treat both nature and people with respect. Like most of us, I am both strong and vulnerable, and I am spending most of my time these days tearing down all those protective walls that were built over the years. I try every day to be a better person. I don't always succeed but, if I can be a better wife, mother, sister, friend for even an hour at a time, it makes me happy. I try not to spend my time with negative people, and pursue the company of those people who are positive, sensitive and true to themselves.

Well, there ya have it, I told you I could go on. Now you know most (but of course, not all - A girl has to retain SOME of her mystery!) of all the truly fascinating things about me that I know you just HAD to know!!

I am a proud member of "Ladies of the Heart", a cyber support group that offers friendship and comfort to over 2000 members. I am also a very proud new member of the "Friendly Hearts and Loving Souls" webring. If you are looking for contact with people who are special and caring, please follow the links provided to both of these sites. I promise your time will be well spent.

P.S.
I know you are all wondering how I use my computer when I'm so far off in the bush aren'tcha. Simple, I just plug it into a "currant" bush. *grin*
