Hi! And welcome to the THRIFTY SCRAPPER: For Those Who Rebel Against Outrageous Prices! I'm really excited about it because I don't think there is that much info out there that addresses how to SAVE money on scrapbooking. There's A LOT on how to spend money, but if you've done this very long or are even just starting out, you know supplies, albums, and all the miscellaneous "stuff" REALLY adds up! I'm tired of stores and manufacturers and companies taking advantage of this wonderful endeavor of scrapbooking!
Here's a few ideas to get you started: At Two Too Cool Scrapbooking BBS there is a program called "Cost of Living Calculator" - it's a neat thing to put in $ amounts and years and check out the changes. This could be interesting on a birth page or ancestor pages. Check it out! http://www.22cool.com/bbs1/ Scan down a bit and it's on the right hand side.
I have a sticker special for all new Thrifty Scrappers. 15 modules (2" x 1 5/8") of a variety of Mrs. Grossman's stickers and 5 die-cuts (various shapes and sizes) for $2.00. Postage and handling are included. Mail $2 to: Leslie Young, PO Box 4093, Logan, UT 84323-4093 and mention the "Thrifty Scrapper Special". Limit 5 per person. All sets are the same.
Don't throw away those unused stickers! Even if there is only one left on the page! A fellow scrapper has a sticker swap (why didn't I think of that!). You send in your unused and unloved stickers and she trades them for others. Email her at: aaprinting@yahoo.com Her name is Krista.
Again, welcome to the THRIFTY SCRAPPER! If you have any ideas or sites (everyone has one or two!), please email me and I'll include them in a future issue. I hope to get the THRIFTY SCRAPPER! out once every 2 to 3 weeks.
Thanks and Happy Scrappin! Leslie
