The Family Way Part Two: And You Wonder Where Kera Gets It?

Cheetara and Tygra were standing in the kitchen folded into a passionate embrace, kissing and purring.  "Brrrr! Snarf, snarf, there are places other than the kitchen for that! Get a room!" Cheetara and Tygra were shocked out of their embrace. Cheetara blushed. Tygra looked at the snarf. "We're sorry, Snarf, and you are right, it is inconsiderate. We, ah, won't do it again." Snarf looked at them warily. "Snaarrfff Are you two eating lunch here?" Tygra looked at Snarf. "No." Snarf looked at Cheetara. "No, I have something else in mind." Snarf huffed. "Brrrr, Lion-O and Lynxana are going to sign up for that fishing tournament in the city park, snarf, snarf, I don't know why those two are so hepped up on fishing, snarf snarf." Cheetara and Tygra patiently listened to the complaining. "Brrr, I wonder just how much fishing those two do when they're alone, snarf, snarf!"   When Snarf turned around, Tygra took Cheetara's hand and  both walked out of the area. Cheetara pinched Tygra, and he chased after, their laughter could be heard as they ran down the hall.  Snarf shook his head, and set about making lunch.
As the couple walked down the hall they clung to each other, and conversed. "Tiger, what are your plans for the day? Well, I suppose i'll try to do some drafting today," Tygra caressed Cheetara's side. "with all of the, ah,  distractions, i'm woefully behind. What about you, Racer?" Cheetara grinned. "I'm going to take Kera to lunch, and try to convince her to let her employees handle the setting of charges and the like while she's pregnant." Tygra looked at his mate. "Good luck! That's the highlight of her day! I've already tried to talk to her about that, and she won't listen.  She had better listen to me, i'm her mother!" Tygra laughed. Cheetara sighed, and smiled. "I'm also going to go visit Pumyra today." Tygra shoved a handful of credits into Cheetara's hands. "Make sure you buy enough," Cheetara looked at Tygra surprised. "then get yourself something nice, maybe a pretty dress, for when I take you to dinner tonight. Dinner?" Tygra grinned. "You old romantic." Cheetara pinched Tygra's cheek.  "Do you have enough money, 'Tara? Tygra, there's almost five hundred credits here! Well, after you buy what we need, keep what's left for yourself." Cheetara eyed Tygra suspiciously. He was generous, but usually not that generous, he usually worried about their retirement and saving for that. "You want a ride to Kera's? No, I want to run!" Cheetara grinned, winked, put the money in her bag, and sprinted away. Tygra watched as she left, and began to plan the special evening.

Cheetara walked up the steps of Kera's small office and stopped at the receptionist's desk. The young seated monkian looked up from her computer screen and smiled. "Hello, Lady Cheetara, hoo. Hello, Myrna is Kera in? Hoo, yes but she's not happy, hoo! Why? A client just told her he didn't want her to do his explosives work because he found out she hires Plundarians. Why should that matter, Cheetara? Hoo, hoo, I don't consider myself Plundarian, I am a Thunderian, hoo."  Myrna made a face.  "That man was a pig anyway." Myrna angrily impaled papers on a metal spike.  "All men are pigs, hoo, hoo!" Cheetara laughed. "Not all, Myrna!" Myrna nodded yes. "Hoo, the man comes out eventually.  Hoo, My man is a pig, but i'm training him!"  Cheetara didn't quite know if she should laugh or not. Myrna rose to reveal a rather large stomach. "When are you due, Myrna? Next month, hoo, my man bought a holo-recorder, so he could get footage of the birth.  I told Renegar if he thought he was going to holo-record it, he had another thing coming, hoo!" Cheetara laughed again. "You should be happy that he is excited. I am, but I already told him that if he drags the recorder into the birthing room, I am going to cram it where the sun don't shine, hoo! How would he have liked it if I holo-recorded his gall bladder operation?"  Myrna hooted indignantly. With that Cheetara giggled and then laughed loudly. Kera heard her mother, and entered the reception area.
Kera put her arms around her mother.  "Well, Mother, what brings you to my humble door? I thought maybe I could talk you into going to lunch with me. Sounds good to me, Racer." Kera winked at her mother, then turned to face Myrna. "Myrna? Can I bring you anything? No, but thank you, that man of mine is supposed to come here in a few minutes and take me to the healer, hoo. Oh, I forgot about that, M!" Kera dug into her pocket. "We're not busy today.  Why don't you guys take a lunch break too, on me." Myrna took the credits. "You sure, boss? Of course, I probably won't be back before two, you think you'll be okay by yourself?" Myrna nodded. "Thanks, M. Thank you, Boss!" With that Kera and Cheetara got into Kera's convertible and sped off.
During the ride to lunch, Cheetara looked at her daughter with pride. She remembered the day she asked she and Tygra for a loan to get her business started. Cheetara also remembered how worried she had been at Kera's choice of career. She along with her brother, had graduated with honors and obtained engineering and architecture degrees, but Kera went on to two extra years of school, just so she could live her childhood fantasy and blow things up.
Cheetara sighed.  She had wanted Kera to become a defender, maybe rise to the position of Judgment Giver. It would have been a logical career for her headstrong girl, as much as she loved to argue.  Cheetara, however, was happy with her daughter, and quite proud.  Kera had turned out to be a fine productive young woman, and to her relief, she never had to get her out of spending the night in jail.
A warm feeling traced over Cheetara, with the knowledge that soon Kera would know the joys, and sometimes trials of being a mother. Cheetara knew she and Tygra and she would relish the joys of being  grandparents.  Cheetara hoped Kera's daughters or sons would be as spirited as their mother.
Upon reaching their destination, Cheetara and Kera exited the vehicle.  Tygra was across the street and saw the couple, and flash of panic went over him. Cheetara turned and looked around, saw nothing and went into the restaurant.   Tygra felt lucky that he was in front of a book seller's shop that was holding a sidewalk sale. He carefully stuck his head out from behind the shelf of books on clearance to see that his mate was gone.  A woman standing beside of him looked down. Tygra grinned nervously. "My wife and daughter are here, and I don't want them to see me." The woman looked at Tygra with raised eyebrows, and stepped away from him.  Tygra got up and saw Cheetara and Kera taking a window seat, and Kera had seen him. Kera waved for him to come join them, but he signed to her to quit.  Cheetara was about to look out the window, but Kera tried to distract her mother. Despite Kera's best attempts, Cheetara saw a streak of red, black, and white fly down the opposite sidewalk, much to her chagrin.  "Kera, was that your father? No, I don't think so." Kera felt bad for fibbing, and wondered why Tygra was on that side of town, but figured rather logically it was something he didn't want her mother to know about. Kera wondered if Tygra was visiting the pro shop to replace the clubs she and her mother obliterated.
Tygra, after having taken cover in a display of dresses on a rack on the sidewalk, parted and peered through them. Tygra scanned the area and the restaurant window, to see if Cheetara was watching, he really wished that he had his bolo whip at that moment.  As Tygra ran to the next hiding place, he felt grateful to have Kera as a partner in crime.  Tygra ran to the jewelry store as fast as he could, in order to get his transaction done before Kera and Cheetara got out of the restaurant, he hadn't parked too far away from it, it was in front of the astro golf store.
A whiz of red passed Lynxana and Lion-O. "Lion-O, Was that Tygra?" Lion-O looked at Lynxana and shrugged his shoulders. "Kinda looked like him."  Lynxana looked at the line growing in behind them. "I never thought that the Pro Crappie Fisherman's Tournament was going to be so popular." Lion-O crossed his arms and wished that the line would hurry up, the midday sun was rising, and the fish were going to hide soon. Lion-O turned to Lynxana. "We had better enjoy ourselves as much as we can, in four months we'll all be too busy to fish with the Interstellar Council meetings ahead. I hope Prefect Irgall will allow Plundarr in without protest." Lynxana looked at Lion-O. "Don't count on it, my Lord." Lion-O laced his fingers with Lynxana's,  smiled, and changed the topic to more pleasant concerns. "Lynxana, i'm going to win that trophy." Lynxana eyed Lion-O slyly. "I don't know how, because it's mine!" Lion-O frowned. "At least you could give me the recipe for your bait. NO! Why don't you cheat like usual and use the Sword of Omens' sight beyond sight to see where the fish are?" Lion-O looked at Lynxana in disappointment as she giggled at him.

Tygra opened the door of the jewelers and a door chime trilled. "Hello, Mr. Grubber told me of your call and I have taken the liberty of bringing out some of my finest gemstones." Tygra looked at the selection, and shook his head, and held out his hands and made a grandiose gesture. "I am looking for something bigger, something fit for a Queen!" Baron Tass looked at Mr. Grubber. "How dare you bring out these pebbles for a Thundercat, bring out the black box." Mr. Grubber scrambled to the back and got the box the rotund man requested. While Grubber was gone, Tygra looked through the glass topped display, and briefly examined the cut green gemstones.  A wave of memories Tygra didn't care to have came flooding back, after all those years the incident still made him feel ashamed. Tygra was snapped back by Baron Tass' voice. "Sir, these are laser cut, Fredrillium stones, from deep within the caves of Kondas. The stones are mounted in pure Platinum, and silver, and the chain is constructed of the same precious metals."
Tygra picked up the center piece of the black felt lined box, a necklace and looked at it with a jeweler's eyepiece, there were no flaws about the gemstone whatsoever.  He pulled the silver, platinum rope chain through his fingers, it flowed like liquid. Tygra moved the translucent red crystal in the light, the facets reflected the white light beautifully. "This piece is exquisite. How much, Baron?"  The Baron did calculations on his mini computer. "A mere three thousand eight hundred credits, Noble Tygra." Tygra looked at the Baron.
"So Kera, are you excited?" Cheetara regarded her beautiful child. "Yes, and no. I'm kind of frightened, I don't quite know what to expect." Cheetara giggled. "All mothers experience that, even those who have given birth before." Cheetara patted her daughter's hand. "Besides things won't be so bad, you will have me to help you." Kera smiled and nodded. "That's a good thing, Mother, Terron will be gone for most of the pregnancy," Cheetara could see tears begin to flood her eyes, and looked away as she tried to choke her emotion back.  Cheetara took her hand.  "he's going to officer's school soon, he said he would hold off, but I told him I wanted him to go ahead and get it over with. Terron's career can't progress without officer's school, at least Jella will be with him and will keep him out of trouble maybe. I guess a baby will be next for her." Kera smiled,  Cheetara got out a tissue and handed it to her. Kera sniffed. "I'm sorry, Mom, I didn't mean to," Cheetara interrupted. "It's okay, it's natural.  How long is the officer's school going to last? A year, by then the baby will be born, that's when i'll really need help, I guess." Cheetara could empathize completely, she remembered the absences that Tygra had to take when she was pregnant with Kera and Tygro, and how overwhelmed she had felt at times.  Cheetara looked at Kera. "Sweetie, have Terron and Jella's parents made contact with you yet?" Kera wiped her eyes. "No, Terron tries to act like he's tough, but it's breaking his heart. I sent them a baby name book like I gave you and Dad, and wrote in it what Terron told you two the night we told you,  but they still haven't said anything.   I don't understand it, Mom! I mean I could understand it if Tygro and I were convicts or something, but this is just foolish." Cheetara tried to think of some wise advice but could only come up with, "You will just have to wait them out. I'm sure they will come around."  Cheetara smiled and brushed her daughter's cheek. "Come on now, we're supposed to be having a good time.  What do you think you would like to eat?"
Tygra pulled out his wallet. "Is that all?  Do you take New Thundera Bank Card?" The Baron smiled. "Of course. Mr.Grubber, put the necklace in a nice presentation box for Noble Tygra. Oh, and i'll take this silver bracelet, with the purple cut stone." Baron Tass looked at Tygra. "That will be an additional two hundred credits." Tygra looked at the Baron and grinned. "I don't care, add it up. Yes, sir!" The Baron said as he happily added the money onto Tygra's bill  Tygra peered out of the window and tried to look for Cheetara and Kera, but he was too far away to see. The transaction would take awhile, and he prayed Cheetara would not find their car. Tygra also hoped that Tygro was alright at the office alone, he hadn't meant to be gone so long.
Cheetara and Kera exited the restaurant, and went into a clothing store next door. For the next twenty minutes Cheetara tried on dresses as Kera gave her opinions on them. Cheetara settled on a blue one, and purchased it, along with a matching pair of shoes.   After a few steps, the two reached Kera's vehicle.  As they got into the car, Cheetara noticed a familiar vehicle. "Kera, look, it's mine and Tygra's car." Cheetara giggled.  "Let me out." Kera looked at her mother. "What are you going to do?" Cheetara had a wicked look on her face. "I'm going to move it." Kera had a bad feeling. "Mother, you shouldn't do that.  I'll call him on his communicator in a little while and tell him where it is, I just want to have a little fun." Cheetara regarded her daughter. "Kera, you surprise me! I thought you were one of Thundgardenon's sprites!" Kera looked at her mother. "All right, but just be sure to let him know soon, okay?" Kera said with a grin. "Now who is the mother, Kera?" Kera waved goodbye, and sped off for her office.
Cheetara giggled then laughed loudly as she rifled through her pouch and got out her set of keys to the hover car. Cheetara looked around, got in, tossed her bags in the backseat, turned the ignition, and drove away.  Cheetara looked at her watch, she had a few minutes, she figured that she could kill two birds with one stone by going to visit Pumyra to buy her herbs and chat, all the while still being able to torment Tygra.
Tygra ran back towards his car as fast as he could.
Lynxana stood with Lion-O at the cash register of the fishing goods store, she tugged on Lion-O's tunic and said,  "Lion-O, that was Tygra!"  Lion-O just nodded, got out his money, and looked at Lynxana funny. "I Wonder why he was running like a bat out of Hell?" Lynxana tried to give Lion-O money for her entry fees and lures but he wouldn't accept it.
Tygra halted as he looked at the empty space before him.  Tygra looked a few spaces back and ahead hoping that he had made a mistake, he hadn't. Tygra had to fight the urge to use a plethora of expletives as he looked around, he found comfort in the fact that Kera's car was gone too.  Tygra ran his hand through his hair, and walked into the pro shop.  "Heyyyy, Tygra! How are you buddy? Not too good Higgy, I think somebody's stolen my car." Tygra's friend looked at him and punched up Jaga City Police.
Cheetara arrived outside of Bengali and Pumyra's forge, she went inside and said hello to Bengali, then went past the forge and up the steps to Pumyra's office.
"Hello Cheetara. Hello, 'Myra, how are you today? I'm fine, what may I do for you today?  Cheetara looked over her shoulder and closed the door. Pumyra was perplexed with the secrecy. "'Myra can I get some more of those herbal supplements that you gave me a few weeks ago?" Pumyra made a face, and with a voice full of sour grapes said, "Why? They aren't worth a sh..darn!" Cheetara smiled at the quick correction. "They don't do a thing for me OR Bengali!" Cheetara looked at Pumyra wide eyed. "They have worked wonders for me and Tygra, I can't keep my hands off of him," Cheetara smiled wickedly. "and vice versa!" Pumyra looked at Cheetara in a surprised manner.  "You can have all you want free of charge, I can't believe they work though. Thank you, Pumyra, but you must let me pay you." Pumyra shook her head no, and handed Cheetara a bag filled with the bitter aphrodisiac. "I'm glad that it's working for you, 'Tara. When you want some more, feel free to stop by and i'll make you some." Cheetara giggled and looked out the window at the car. "What's funny, Cheetara?"  Cheetara took a few moments to explain.
"That's right, Officer. I parked my car right here and now it's gone." The policeman looked at Tygra. "Don't worry, sir, it's not been more than thirty minutes, we already have an all points bulletin out on the vehicle.  It shouldn't be too hard to find, there aren't many Custom Trensherr Darkcats on the road, you are one lucky cat!  Thank you, officer." The officer left, and Tygra went back inside with his golf friend, Higgy. "What's in the bag, Tygra? Something for my 'Tara. Can I see? I guess so." Tygra opened the presentation box with pride in his selection, and showed Higgy the necklace he had purchased. Higgy whistled then said, "Damn, Tygra! I don't think Cheetara will make you sleep on the couch tonight!" Tygra grinned at his friend and put the jewelry back in the case. "Make sure Cheetara doesn't show that doorknob to my woman, or she'll want one too!" Tygra laughed, and said, "Buddy, do you think I could call from your terminal? The jerk that took my car also got my communicator. Help yourself, Tygra!"  Tygra called Tygro to come pick him up, made dinner and a few other reservations, then the two settled down and laughed as they watched an astro golf blooper holo disc.
"Cheetara! You are the most wicked woman I know! I bet Tygra's having a fit! That's the best one you have pulled on him in awhile!" The two women laughed as they walked down the stairs. Bengali looked at the two women's red faces and smiled to one side. "I don't know what's funny, ladies, but it can't be good for mankind!" The two women burst into more laughter and Pumyra said, "You're right!"  Cheetara got into her vehicle and drove away waving to Pumyra.
As Cheetara drove down Coronation Boulevard she fumbled around in her bag for her communicator, she swerved a little bit, but not so much that it was dangerous.  After finally finding her communicator, Cheetara dialed the number to Tygra's, a dull trilling noise was coming from the backseat. Cheetara would have turned back with the realization that Tygra's communicator was in the backseat, but she first looked in the rear view window, to see four Jaga city police cars following her, with their green lights on.  When they grew closer, she heard the sirens blaring.  Cheetara checked her speed and saw that she was doing the speed limit, but she pulled over anyway in order to allow them passage, evidently there was an emergency somewhere, and a bad one, for four police cars to be out together.
Kera got back to her office, she looked to the side and saw Cheetara's wallet, she had been putting her money back into it in her car when she saw her father's car, and reasoned that she tossed it in the seat when she got out of the car to boost her father's. Kera went inside the office and left a message on her mother's and father's message machine that she had her wallet, and continued her work day.

A tall puma officer stepped out of his vehicle. "Step out of the car with your hands up, with your back facing me, and lie down on the ground." Cheetara's eyes were wide. She had no other choice, so she complied.  The puma officer put Cheetara in restricting rays and helped her get up.  The officer looked at Cheetara and said "This vehicle was reported stolen." Cheetara answered. "Officer, this is my husband's and mine's car. I am the wife of Noble Tygra. If you will give me my bag, I will give you my license and you will see that I am who I say I am. Are you a Thundercat Miss?" Cheetara sighed, the Thundercat symbol on her chest should have been the dead give away. "Yes, I am Thundercat Lady Cheetara of Kalvah Cheetah clan and Damkorr Tiger clan, mated to Noble Tygra, Magestrar of the Council to the House Of Tybrix the Stealthy." Cheetara felt odd as she delivered her's and Tygra's titles, she felt as if she had delivered a dissertation.  The officers regarded Cheetara's shapely frame much to her chagrin. Cheetara cut her eyes at them.  The officers looked away quickly. Cheetara was flattered and disgusted at the same time.  The officer that gently held her arm was looking through Cheetara's bag for her wallet, and turned up a bag full of brownish, green material. "Ma'am, I can't find your identification, and what is this? What?  Oh, those are herbs." The officer eyed Cheetara disapprovingly. "Yeah right, lady let's go!"
Cheetara was wide eyed as she was read her legal rights, she was then pushed into a police car and driven towards Jaga City police headquarters.  As Cheetara was driven away, a tow lifter pulled Tygra's Trensherr Darkcat onto it, she figured it was on the way to the impound yard. Cheetara prayed nothing happened to it, she knew this incident would follow her for the rest of her life in the form of teasing, especially after all the grief she had given Tygra over his interaction with the prostitute on Hykksos.  Cheetara knew if the car got damaged it would make it that much worse. Cheetara's mind then gripped what surely awaited her at the police station.

Tygra walked into his and Cheetara's room excited with the events of the day.  "Cheetara? I'm home! You'll never guess what happened today!" Tygra looked around the bedroom, and put his expensive bag into his dresser drawer and looked for signs of his mate. Tygra poked his head into the bathroom. "'Tara?" There was no answer.  "Wildcat?" Still no reply. "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty." Tygra called in a naughty tone.  Tygra concluded after that last one, she wasn't home.
Tygra walked over to the computer teleterminal and pressed the red button, a mechanical female voice said, "Monday, August, fourteenth, one twenty five p.m. you have five messages." Tygra listened to the beep and pressed the mailbox button.
"Message one- Hi, Dad? It's me, Tygro, I took care of our clients so you won't have to come in today, um, never mind. You just walked in. Bye!" Tygra laughed. The machine beeped.
"Message two- Hi, I hate these darn machines! Mom, it's me, Kera, of course," Tygra loved Kera's funny voice. "you left your wallet in my car, I have decided to take your credit cards, loose cash, run away, and start a UFO religion in western Thundera! Just kidding! No, really! I have your wallet, i'll bring it to you later this evening. Thanks for lunch and for cheering me up, I needed it!  Have a good time with dad tonight, love you, Mwwahh!" Tygra smiled and shook his head. The machine beeped.
"Message three- Hello?  Noble Tygra, I am going to offer you an extraordinary business opportunity for some time share.."  Tygra growled and hit the trash can button and grumbled, "Gods damned teleterminal marketers! At least it's not dinner time!" The machine beeped.
"Message four- Hello, Noble Tygra? This is Sergeant Gyndac desk clerk of the Jaga City police department.  We have found your vehicle, it is safe and in the Jaga City police impound yard. We also caught the person who took the car, she says she's Lady Cheetara of the Tiger clan and clan Kalvah of the Cheetah's something, but she didn't have any identification. You can come and pick up your car at any time.  The woman is in custody on suspicion of drug possession, and vehicular theft.  It's entirely up to you, sir, if you want to press charges on the vehicle offense."  The machine beeped, Tygra looked at it in disbelief.
"Message five-  Hello? Tygra? I'm in jail!" Tygra was surprised at the tone of Cheetara's voice. "Come and get me please, I took your car today as a joke and it backfired. The cops found our bag of herbs and they think they're drugs, they're testing them now." Cheetara's voice became more worried sounding. "Tygra, there are some bad people here with me, one said I could make a lot of money on the strip! She said she was going to introduce me to her boss! Please come get me out of here!" Tygra rushed out of the room as the machine beeped.
Tygra beat on Tygro's bedroom door. Tygro opened it to see his upset father.  "Tygro give me your hover car keys, your mother is in jail." Tygro laughed, but quieted some, when he saw his father's expression. "I'm not kidding, Tygro, go into our bedroom and listen to the message." Tygro could tell by the panic in his father's voice that he was serious. "Here, dad." Tygra took the keys. "Don't tell anyone where i've gone, especially not Kera, erase the message." Tygro saluted, and Tygra ran out of Cat's Lair.
In a few minutes Tygra was in the police building. Tygra stepped up to the desk to hear two officers talking.
"Man, I really wish I could have helped with that search, that was one good looking cat, despite her being old!" Tygra raised his eyebrows with irritation.  Yeah," said the other officer. "I would love to count HER spots!" The officers saw Tygra and bowed. Tygra looked at the men in a less than pleased manner then said with a loud growl, "The woman you are talking about is a Thundercat.  Her name is Lady Cheetara,  she is not old, she has five hundred and forty seven spots, yes she is very beautiful, and she's MY MATE! SHOW SOME RESPECT!"
The officers along with everyone else in the precinct stopped what they were doing and looked at Tygra. "We didn't mean to cause offense, Noble Tygra. Well, you did!" The desk sergeant shooed the officers away and bowed before Tygra. "I am very, very sorry, Noble Tygra, those two are rookies, kids really, they don't know any better.  The tests came back negative for traces of katnip, and since you are here and can verify that the the woman in custody is your wife, she is free to go upon identification." Tygra's anger was offset somewhat. "I understand.  Will her arrest be expunged from the records? Of course. Where is my wife?  Please, sir, come this way."  Tygra cut the two young officers a menacing glare, they backed away.
Tygra was taken by the sergeant to the bowels of the precinct. As they neared the doors of the cell area, laughter was audible, Tygra could pick out Cheetara's over the din.  Tygra was lead into the foyer and Cheetara stood and grinned. "Hi, honey." One of the women in back said , "Oooh, 'Tara, you were right, he is good lookin'!" The sergeant looked at the woman who was unnerved a few hours before, holding court, and treating her cellmates like sisters. "Lady Cheetara, you are free to go." Cheetara turned to her new found friends and waved. "Bye, ladies, it was nice talking to you all, especially you, Sweet Thing!" The large Reptilian man with pink lipstick, wig, high heels, and a boa stood and said with a deep voice,  "S-s-see you around your Ladys-s-ship, good luck on your daughter's-s-s baby!" All of the women and man waved goodbye and began speaking amongst each other.  Tygra looked at his wife incredulously. Cheetara tried to give Tygra as little eye contact as possible.
As Cheetara and Tygra got into the purloined car, the desk sergeant made apologies to Cheetara, and handed her a large manila envelope containing her loose belongings. "Ma'am, I am terribly sorry about the indignities that you had to endure." Cheetara smiled and to true form was gracious. "There is no need for you to apologize, officer. You were doing your job.  Thank you for being as kind as you have been."
The officer saluted and Tygra drove away.
"Indignities?" Asked Tygra. Cheetara looked at him, made a face and looked up. "They had to do a search, Tiger. A search? A FULL search of my person." Tygra looked at Cheetara in discomfort and tried to get to Cat's Lair as quickly as possible.
