The Inbetween 1:

Rose Induction
1) Among the Heros
AJ Angel

It was a bright and sunny day on New Thundera. Angela and the Thundercats were enjoying the
morning as they had casual thoughts about Angel Rose. It had been at least three months
since Angel had left at the show after singing her farewell to her friends. It was an odd
way to say good bye, but it was the way she wanted ti to be. But if they only knew..she was
coming back.

Far from the Lair in a near by forest, a rippling portal opens and Angel steps out in her trademark outfit in red and black. She looks around in a almost tired look and soon sees the Cat's Head. She smiles and begins to walk over to it. She carefully takes in everything that
she sees, as if she's remebering it after not seeing it for years. As she leaves the woods
and enters the town around the Lair, she sees that there are some new buildings. She smiles
at this, knowing that things are going great for this planet. She can sense peace and
happiness as she walks through town. But there is aomething else in the wind...eagarness
and that something is ready. Angel smiles and knows what this is about.

Up in control, Casandra and Tygra were on watch. Tygra looked up when he heard her gasp.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"It's...Angel," Cassandra said, and pointed at the screen. Tygra looked and gasped to
see Angel walking up to the Lair. But he noticed that something wasn't right about her.

Bengali and Cheetara came out of the Lair when she was 30 feet away from the entrance. She
smiles whe she sees them and stops in her tracks. Cheetara is the first to notice that she
seems to be strugling just to stand and sways a bit in the wind.
"Hi guys. Am I still welcomed here?" Angel asked in a low voice, when they were right in
front of her.
"Of course you are," Benglai said, noticeing the look of tiredness in her eyes.
"Thank you...now I can finally rest," Angel said and began to collasp. Cheetara was the
first to catch her and they hurried to bring her into the Lair. Once inside, she was taken
to one of the empty rooms and Pumyra began to treat her.
"Well?" Cheetara asked.
"There's no physical wounds. It looks as if she's just out of energy. So we'll just let
her rest," Pumyra said. Angela was outisde the room when she heard this.
"Angela?" asked a female voice. She looked to see a female quadraped bengal tiger with
flaming ornage fur and vivid green eyes who looked about 800 pounds. On her right shoulder
was a red rose under her fur.
"Oh, hi Thundera Tiger," Angela said.
"Something wrong?" Thundera Tiger asked.
"My friend Angel is in there, I just heard that she collasped outside and Pumyra says
it's from a lack of energy," Angela said, obviously worried.
"You mean Angel Rose?"
"Yes, one in the same." Thundera Tiger smiles.
"It'll be allright Angela. Just let her rest and all will be right once again."
"If you say so, then it will be. Thanks Thunder," Angela said.
"Any time."

Okay, I bet you're wondering what the heck is going on here. Well, Thundera Tiger is apart
of the Rose Clan that are the Guardians of the Dimensional Gates. But, she became friends
with Angela and the Thundercats after Angel left. It seemed as if she was guided to them
the night Angel left, and she's glad she came.
Thundera Tiger is full of sarcasim, has a sense of humor, and a overwelming pride for her
species. You should have seen the look on Angela's face when they first met. Thundera is about
two feet taller or so then Angela. Angela looked up at her and had this look that was a mix
of awe and fear of being in the shadow of the giant. But Angela got over that soon and the
two are now really good friends.
The one thing that stands out about Thundera Tiger is that she seeks out trouble, and
througly enjoys this. She often calls this her "hobby". And ever since she arrived, there
has been a few mysterious occurences of magic battles...none of which have yet to take place
in the city.
She is also the one who'll be cynical while other are litterly jumping for joy. She'll
step back and make some disparaging remark with a disgusted look during this. It's obvious
that she's going to have some friction with Angel...when she wakes up.

Angela sat by Angel's bed as she slept the day away. It wasn't untill the sun was begining
to set when Angel fluttered her eyes open and she slowly sat up. Angela was quiet as she
looked around with far oof look in her eyes.
"Angel?" Angela asked. Angel snapped to attention and looked at her.
"Didn't you hear the voice?" Angel asked. Angela looked confussed.
"What voice?"
"My voice." The two girls looked to see Thundera Tiger in the door frame. Angel's eyes
grow wide just at the sight of her. She smiles and laughs lightly at this.
"Chill. I'm not going to bite," she said.
"So, it is you who has been calling me," Angel said. Thundera Tiger nodded.
"So, care to tell the others why you're here?"
"Yes. Coming Angela?" Angel asked, throwing off the bed sheets and swinging her legs to the
side of the bed.
"Sure, looks like that's the only way I'm going to get any answers around her," Angela said.

Everyone in the counsel room was chattering about Angel and what could be going on. The moment
that the doors opened, it was dead silent in the room.
"Well, isn't this omnious. And I thought I was welcomed here," Angel said. Thundera smiled at this.
"You are Angel...but you have some explaining to do...since Thundera Tiger won't tell us a
thing," Lion-o said.
"Okay. I'll you everything I can," Angel said, sitting down.
"The gods and goddess don't know for sure if me and Anya are truley the Rose Sisters,"
she started.
"But, how?" Angela started.
"Just because we took the Rose Promise isn't enough. There are three clues to this prophocey that will tell us if we truley are the chossen ones. But, only the three Amythest Roses know those clues," Angel said. Everyone looked confussed and Thundera sighed.
"Okay, there are other levels of roses. Yellow roses are the lowest levels. They are teachers and mentors with the makr of a yelloe rose bud on their brow who go where they are needed. Next comes the Pink level roses who are messangers of the gods and true guardians of the gates, their marking is a opening rose bud in the palm of their right hand. Next comes Red level roses. Our
markig is a blooming rose on our right shoulder. We have limited freedom to travel through the
gates and remove the marking from Black roses. White Roses have unlimited freedom and they name lower level roses. Thier marking is a full bloom rose on top of their left hand...but Angel's around her navle," Thundera finished. Angel nodded.
"Because of that, I too can remove the marking of a Black Rose," Angel said. Everyone looked up at this.
"Above me are the 3 Amythest Roses. They are imortal, have unlimited feedom to travel any where they want, they name anyone to whatever level of roses they want...and remove the marking from any rose that they want. And they can claim any Rose they want for a servant, pupile, friend, sibling...or lover," Angel said, a slight blush at the end. A few people noticed this.
"So far, we have met one Amythest rose and he has proven that we have passed the first clue,"
Angel said. Thundera nodded at this.
"And finally there are the Black Roses, who are the subverial hackers of the gateways.
They use the gateways for their own pleasure, profit, and freely allow evil to pass from one dimesion to the next," Angel said, ominouly.
"So, what bring you back here?" Benglai asked. Angel sighed.
"God and Goddess wants me to make four of your Rose Clan members...and name some others as well
to help a local Rose Clan memeber...but they wouldn't say who," Angel said.
"What? Us Roses?" Panthro exclaimed. Angel nodded.
"Yes. But the only problem is I don't know which four. Theyt told me to follow my heart and I would make the right chocies. Personally, I think you all deseve this gift," Angel said. Everyone looked at each other. Thundera put a paw/hand on Angel's shoulder and she looked at Thundera.
"Take your time and think about this. I trust you to make the right choice," she said.

After that, the group broke up and Angel went to think. The others tried to talk with her after that but Thundera Tiger would keep them away from her. Angel got fed up with that later that
evening and vanished to sit on top of the Cat's head. She sighed as the Winds of Change blew
in her face.
"Please don't start with me to," she said, in a sort of moan/whine. The wind settled down
a bit and she heard a distant voice appologize.
"It's not your fault. It's just that I have to make a choice maong my friends...and I
don't know how to make this one," Angel said, not noticeing a figure walking up behind her.
"I knew who to induct...and who not to. But this time...gods, what's wrong with me?" Angel
asked, grabbing her head and squezzing her eyes shut.
"Nothing." Angel looked and saw Cassandra.
"Cassie," Angel said, bowing a bit as the white tigress sat by her.
"Do you have to bow to me?" Cassandra asked.
"In my opion yes. How'd you find me?"
"Inuition. Finally got tired of Thundera's 'protection'?"
"I guess. She seems to think I need to stay away from you all so I don't make a wrong choice. But I haven't seen you all in so long...I wish she would let me visit with you guys," Angel
said.
"I doubt she will untill you make your choice," Cassandra said. Angel sighs and leans against
Cassandra.
"I guess so," Angel said.
"So, what makes a person sutible to become a Rose Clan memember?" Angel thought about this.
"Well. You'd have to have some prior knowlegde about the gates, that there actually other
dimensions out there, or how to travel through the gates...maybe even that you had a trip through a gate or two," Angel said. Cassandra smiled.
"Maybe you're choice won't be so hard after all." Angel looked at her confussed and got off
her when Casandra got up.
"Like the Gods said. Follow your heart," Cassandra said and left her. Angel look on at this puzzled and went over what she had said. Suddenly she gasped.
"Gods! How could I have been so blind?" Angel asked her self and phased through the cat's head. At that same moment, a dark male figure watched her from a distance.

The next morning, Angel had gathered everyoe in one of the smaller assembly rooms filled
with folding chairs and a small stage. Angel sat on the edge of the stage and saw that
eveyone was basiclly scatered around the middle of the room.
"We all know whay we are here...right?" Angel asked, not sure if everyone was awake for this or not. Everyone asured her that she did and sighed. Her heart was filled with butterflies and she
was hating being up on stage like this. Tygra could tell thsi and was sympathising with her.
"As you know, I can only make four of your Roses. And there's only about 11 of you," Angel said
building a slight tension in the room. But she vowed that she wan't going to rush through this.
"In order to be inuducted. One must have prior knowledge and experience with the Dimensional Gates." Everyone had an idea now who she was going to chosse. Angel brushed her rose mark and it
glowed. The glow went to her hand and was tinged yellow.
"For Yellow Rose level, I induct Wiley Kit and Wiley Kat," Angel said. She held her hand out to the twins and yelloe rose buds appeared on their brows on their skin. Angel brushed her mark once more and it was tinged Pink.
"And for Pink Level, I inuduct Pumyra and Benglai," she said, held her hand out to them and pink rose marks appeared in the palm of their right hand.
"Know this. Even though you are inducted at this level, doesn't mean you'll stay that way. You can prgress to the next levels with time, experience, and will. Welcome to the Clan fellow Roses," Angel said and their was a light applause as Angel got off the stage with a sigh.
"I don't think I'll ever get use to being up on stage like that," she said as she walked over to her friends.
"So, does this mean we'll have to leave anytime soon?" Kit asked.
"I wasn't told to send you anywheres by the gods..so I guess not," Angel said.
"Besides, you four will be needed here," Thundera Tiger said. Everyone looked at her.
"Why?" Cassandra asked.
"Angel. I called you here because I can't name Roses...I need some fellow roses," Thundera said. The others looked confussed but Angel fully understood.
"You are alone here. That is why you became friends with Angela and the others," Angel said,
sympathetic. Thundera Tiger nodded.
"Yes. Can you help me?" Thundera Tiger looked at Angel with pleading eyes. She smiled at Thundera.
"Yes, I can," Angel said. Thundera was overjoyed and began to thank her.
"You're welcome. And now, who do we make your team mates?" Angel asked.

At that same moment, a plane was landing at a recently built airport. From the craft came Thundercub, Thundercatroar, Quinn, Calico, Black Eagle, and Tatiana. These six girls have come from diffrent points in the galaxy following a dream inwhich a quadruped bengal tiger pleads for them to join her and help her to stop an growing evil. And now, they have reach their destination. New Thundera.
