2) Soulmates

It was a few days after Angela's and Panthro's wedding. Angel was sitting in the widow she
was shareing with Tygra at the time. She's just sitting there enoying the warmth of the sun
as she thinks back about how beautiful the ceremony was. This brings a smile to her face
as a wind suddenly picks up and blows her hair around wildy. She shivers at this, for she
knows that things are going to be chaning soon...but for the better or worse?

Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

And who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...

Angel left the room and went down stairs. She was about to come down this set of stairs
when she she saw Tygra at the bottom and down the hall a bit with Cassandra. She was a white
tiger who was a newly inducted Thundercat. Angel stands there and watches the two talk as
they work on something in the hall. Angel remebers who well the two became friends...and now
it looked as if it was becoming more than freindship. Heck. The two were finishing each
other's sentences. And there was Cassandra being helped by the Goddesses of Love to catch the boquet.
Angel felt a pang in her heart, and saw where this was going. She held her hands out to her
sides and began to chant as sigals glowed on her skin. A singel Love Goddess appeared this time...one from New Thundera.
"What do you ask of me Rose Sister?" she asked. Angel sighed, even the gods knew who she was now.
"I want to see who is Tygra's soulmate," Angel said. The goddess looked over at him and
was quiet for a moment.
"As you wish," she said and went over to them. Angel watched as she waved her hands and
revealed the red string connecting Tygra to Cassandra. The goddess looked up at her and she nodded. The goddess then came back to her.
"Was that all you wanted to know?" she asked.
"Yes. What do you want from me?" Angel asked.
"Just direct them for me."
"I will." The goddes smiled and as the signals fadded, Angel grabbed onto the banister to
steady herself.
'Gods, I have to learn to control my energy during that,' she thought and looked back down
at Tygra and Cassandra. She sighed inwardly, knowing what she had to do...but deiced to wait
untiull later when she had the strength to do so.

Who can say why your heart sighs,
As your love flies?
Only time...

And who can say why your heart cries,
When your love dies?
Only time...

Latet that night, Angel was out in the rose garden sitting on one of the stone benches.
It was her favorite place, and it was where she first met Cassandra. She was out there one
night after arriveing and had been told that there were some new Thundercats. She had been
able to meet all but one. And that one found her in the rose garden that night.
"Hello?" she asked. Angel spun around and gasped when she saw her. Cassandra was a white
tigress with amythest eyes. She wore a basic outfit of body suit with nylons, tie on mini
skirt, and knee high lace up the side boots in pale blue and white. Angel noticed hwo the
moonlight made her fur seem to shimer with the roses and she let out a low whistle.
"What was that for?" Cassandra asked, a bit confussed.
"I'm sorry, but you look beautiful in the moonlight," Angel said.
"Are you...?"
"No, I have a guy. Tygra," Angel quickly said.
"Ah, then you must be Angel Rose."
"Yes, and you are?"
"Cassandra. Pleased to meet you." Cassandra held out her hand and the two shook hands, it
was in that moment that Angel sensed there was something about Cassandra. Angel sighed as she brought back to the present. Now she knew what it was. Then she heard the sound of footsteps,
she looked and saw Tygra entering the garden.
"You wanted to see me?" he asked. Angel nodded and he came closer. He could see in the
moonlight that she didn't look to happy.
"What's wrong?" he asked. Angel took a moment to say what she had to say.
"Tygra...I...we..." she started.
'Great. I had it all planned out in my head,' she thought, looking away as she glared.
"Angel. What is it you want to tell me?" Angel closed her eyes, to not look at him.
"I'm not the one you're meant to be with," she spat out. Tygra looked at this stunned.
"What?" he asked. Angel looked at him, seeing the stunned look on his face.
"The Goddess of Love here showed me...we don't have a red string between us," Angel said.
"She could be wrong..."
"No. She's not," Angel said as sternly as she could. Tygra studdied her face, seeing the
mix of sadness and face.
"Who am I suposse to be with," Tygra asked.
"Cassandra," Angel said, the name flowing from her mouth like water. Tygra was a little
surprised by this.
"Tygra, please don't be so surprised. You two get along better than we do," Angel said.
Tygra looked away, a bit guilty when she said that.
"Tygra. You two were meant to be long before I was even born. I was just a stepping stone in
your life," Angel said. Tygra sighed at this.
"So you want to end this?" he asked. Angel was quiet.
"You two need to be together more than we do. I can't stand in the way of you two's
happiness," Angel said. Tygra just nodded. After some more talk, Tygra left Angel alone
in the rose garden. She looked up at the moon and the silver tears began to fall as her
heart wept. The goddes she had called looked on with a sad face. It was true, Tygra was
the first Angel had loved but had to give him up for the one he was meant to be with.

Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be,
In your heart.

And who can say when the day sleeps,
If the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart...

Morning found Angel in a different room of the Lair. She couldn't stand to face him after
their talk...or anyone else. She just stayed in bed, wraped up in the sheets. Everyone noticed that she didn't come down for breakfast.
"Is Angel allright?" Snarf asked. Tygra was about to speakup when Cassandra stood up.
"I'll go check on her," she said and left the table. Cansandra had seen Angel come back late last night and go into one of the other rooms. She knew something was up when Angel didn't come down and was going to find out what.

Soon, there was a knock at the door.
"Who's there?" Angel meakly asked. The door opened and Angel frowned at this.
"It's me," said a familar voice. Angel turned over and saw Cassandra.
'oh gods, not her,' Angel thought, turning back over and hding under the sheets.
"Angel. Are you hurt...or sick?" Cassandra asked.
"No," Angel said, her voice muffled by the sheets.
"I can't hear you from under there," Cassandra said. Angel poked her head back out.
"No," she repeated.
"Then what's wrong?" Cassandra asked and Angel proceeded to tell Cassandra what happened.
"You really believe all that destiny junk?" Cassandra asked at the end. Angel straight up
and looked at her like she was crazy.
"Yes. We are all destined to become something but we forge our own destiny over time,"
Angel said.
"So you really think it's destiny me being with Tygra?" Cassandra asked. Angel looked away
sadly.
"Yes," she said. Cassandra scowled at this. Angel sighs and looks at her.
"Cassandra, do you believe in following your heart?" Angel asked.
"Yes. It never fails me," Cassandra said.
"What does it tell you about Tygra?" Angel asked. Cassandra looked away a bit with a
slight blush.
"I guess...love." Angel smiled at this.
"And I can tell that Tygra isn't that interested in me as you are in him," Angel said.
"No."
"Yes. We're a total mismatch. Besides...I think he feels the same way about you,"
Angel said, with a coy smile.
"Don't joke."
"I'm not. Don't tell me you haven't noticed the way he looks at you...even we're both
in the same room," Angel said. Cassandra thought about this and was right. Cassandra
sighs.
"Look, this was meant to be. Besides, I have someone I'm destined to be with...somewheres
out there. I just have to find him," Angel said.
"Fine. I'll accept this whole destiny thing...this one time," Cassandra said.
"At a girl. Now let's go get breakfast, I'm starving," Angel said, jumping out of bed.
If this was an anime, you'd see an sweat drop by Cassandra's head.
"She sure made a quick recovery," she whispered.
"I heard that!" Angel said from the hall, surprising her. Will wonders never cease?

Who can say if your love grows,
As your heart chose?
Only time...

The rest of the day was quiet, as Angel got Tygra and Cassandra eased into this whole
destiny thing going on between them. The others thought this was all strange, but
trusted Angel...since she did say it was one of THEIR goddesses who showed Angel the
red string between Tygra and Cassandra. By that evening, the two tigers had gone out
on a date, leaving Angel in the Lair. She watched them leave with a satisfied smile.
"Angel," said a voice. She looked and saw Cheetara, leaning against the door frame,
arms crossed. Angel got the sense that she wans't happy about soemthing form that pose.
But she didn't have that look on her face. It was more like...consern.
"You okay with all this?" Cheetara asked. Angel nodded.
"Yes. I've wept my tears for this and I think it's time to move on. I have my match
out there some wheres...and I guess it's about time to go find him," Angel said.
"That's all the crying you're going to do?"
"I guess...i'm sad to say that I don't cry that much over stuff like this...sometimes it
makes me wonder if I'm growing heartless," Angel said, her voice kinda omnious at the end
as she wraps her arms around herself and goes into an far off look.
"No Angel, you're not," Cheetara said, bringing her out this doomed look.
"You have a big heart, it's just hard for you to show it sometimes," Cheetara said. Angel
smiled.
"Thanks, Cheetara."
"Any time. There's a good holomovie on, wanna watch it with us?"
"Sure, what is it?" Angel asked as she walked over to Cheetara.
"An horror movie...something about Werewolves I think. I hear its preety good," Cheetara
said and noticed a grin form on Angel's face.
"Werewolves...did you say werwolves?"
"Y...yes."
"Coolness. Let's watch it!" Angel said and sashed ahead. Cheetara sighed as she shook her
head before following her.

And who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows?
Only time...

Sophia snickered at this part and jumped when she heard thunder.
"Oh no!" she said, quickly gathering up the book and her pens. She got inside just as
the rain began to fall and let out a sigh of releif. Sometimes she wondered if they were
in the Oklahoma area from Earth...or 2nd Earth...or whatever it was called. Sophia went to
the living room in the Mansion of time and floped down in the chair that swallows you.
Looking back over what she had wrote, she knew that makeing this a song fic was a good
idea and picked back up her pen to finish it.

Who knows?
Only time...

Who knows?
Only time...
