...her father. "I knew it!" yelled Chetania. "I think I am going to have you three take a brain scan." Pumyra said to Cheetara, Tygra, and Panthro. Tygra and Panthro looked dumbstruck, but Cheetara pressed on. "May I see the locket Chet?" she asked. "Um, sure." Said Chet. She handed the opened locket to Cheetara. Cheetara looked at it very carefully. She turned it over and something caught her eye. A piece of paper had fell out of the locket when Chetania had opened it. "Pumyra, can you gat that piece of paper for me?" Cheetara asked. "Sure Cheetara." Pumyra answered. Pumyra bent over and picked up the folded piece of paper. She handed it to Cheetara. She unfolded it and read the writing. "It is written in ancient Thunderian!" she exclaimed. "Of course," shouted Chetania, "my mother was a scholar in ancient Thunderian." "How will we decipher it?" asked Panthro. "I don't think any of us are scholars in ancient Thunderian." Ha continued.
"Wait!" exclaimed Tygra. Everyone turned to look at him. "The Book of Omens can decipher it." He said. "Good idea Tygra." Said Cheetara. "I'll go get it." Said Panthro. He turned to open the door, but the door was already opening. Lion-O walked in looking very agitated. "What on Thundera is going on down here?!" he demanded. "Sorry Lion-O, started Tygra, but we have made a very important discovery. Panthro, go get the Book while we explain everything to Lion-O." Panthro nodded and ran out the door. "Will somebody please explain what's going on?!" Lion-O asked. "Well you see, started Cheetara, Chetania is my sister." Lion-O was dumbfounded. "What?" he asked, very confused. "Cheetara, Panthro, and Tygra say that they had a dream about my birth and your birth being at the same time. They say that in this dream they remember me being Cheetara's little sister." Said Chetania. Lion-O remained totally bewildered.
Panthro had gotten the Book and was racing back to sickbay. The dream kept running through his mind over and over again. 'How did we forget her?' he asked himself mentally. His thoughts were cut short when he arrived to sickbay. He rushed through the door and handed the Book to Cheetara. "Here you go Cheetara." He said, a little winded. "Thanks Panthro." She said. "What do you need the Book of Omens for?" asked Lion-O. "I think this letter will prove that I am Chetania's sister, but it is written in ancient Thunderian. None of us studied it so we need the Book." Said Cheetara. All of a sudden Tygra's face lit up. "Lion-O, you can use the Sword of Omens to decipher the letter." He exclaimed. "Will you do it Lion-O?" asked Cheetara. "Alright." He said.
"Sword of Omens come to my hand!" he yelled. There was a whirring sound and the Sword entered the room and landed in Lion-O's hand. "Sword of Omen's, decipher this letter from the ancient tongue to our known language." Lion-O stated. The Sword let of a blinding flash and the paper in Cheetara's hand glowed a bright white. All of a sudden the flash disappeared. Cheetara looked down at the paper and was able to read it. "It worked!" she exclaimed. "Here Chet, you read it." She said as she handed the letter to her. "Ok." Chetania said. She began to read.
To my daughter,
If you are reading this it means I am probably gone.
Do not be sad for I am always with you. You know that your father
and I loved you very much. Now, you know that we always said we would never
keep secrets from you. Well, there is one thing we never told you.
You have an older sister. Her name is Cheetara and she is a Thundercat.
I know that this may come as a shock, but it is true. You are probably
very doubtful, but it is true. You are wondering why we kept this
from you.
When we learned Thundera was going to explode you were eleven years old. You had grown up in the Lair and had become great friends with Lion-O and the twins Wiley Kit and Wiley Kat. They started evacuating the planet, but we all knew it was too late. We also had a very tough event that was coming up. You would have to be separated from the other Thundercats. We were going on a separate ship than the others. I had a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen. I also had a vision about our departure. The only ships to survive would be the flagship and our small ship. Our ship would become damaged and we would escape to land on a small planet. The flagship would make it to a safer place many light years away. I told my vision to Jaga and we made a decision. I, being the top psychic on Thundera, would put a memory block on everyone.
I must tell you that that was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life. I blocked out the memories of you from Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, Wiley Kit, Wiley Kat, and Lion-O. I also placed a new memory in your head so you would forget your past years of living in the Lair. I did not block Jaga's memory because I saw that he would die on the journey. I had told him this and offered a memory block, but he refused it. I also put a special alteration on the block in Cheetara, Panthro, and Tygras' minds. Once you became reunited with them they would rediscover those blocked memories.
The prophecy from my vision played out and we landed on Oceana. You were twelve when we landed. The block worked perfectly and you did not remember a thing about your real past. Through a dream I discovered that the others had landed on Third Earth. I hoped that one day we could make the trip to this planet. I guess since you are reading this now that you made it and we didn't. I hope that you will be happy. Please forgive me for what I did. I only did it so you would not suffer. Trust me, it hurt me so much more than it may seem. I love you always and forever. Your father is also very proud of you. Keep up your training. You become more like him everyday.
We will always be with in spirit,
Mother and Father
Chetania finished reading. Tears were streaming down her face. By reading this letter the memory block was removed off everyone. All the memories flooded back to her and everyone else. She wiped the tears away and looked up. Cheetara also had tears rolling down her cheeks. Before Pumyra could stop her, Cheetara leapt off her bed and threw her arms around Chetania. Chetania hugged her back and they both broke down crying. Everyone else in the room was misty eyed. The two sisters cried on each other's shoulders for a couple minutes and finally broke apart. Panthro, Tygra, and Lion-O also hugged Chetania. They were very happy to have her back.
"Ok, ok, said Pumyra, these two should get some rest now. We don't want to have them rip out their stitches." The three males left and Pumyra made the two women lie down. Pumyra checked Cheetara's leg and made sure that the stitches were still in place. She then checked Chetania and made sure she was fine. They both were all right. "Now get some rest you two." She said. Cheetara and Chet drifted off to sleep to dream about their past. Upstairs Lion-O and Tygra were in their rooms also settling down to dream about their real pasts. Panthro sat in the Control room and swung his nun-chucks, deep in thought.
The console started beeping. Panthro snapped out of his daze and saw that a transmission was coming in from the Tower of Omens. 'I wonder what they want this early in the morning' he wondered. "Panthro here, what's the matter?" he asked. The faces of Wiley Kit and Wiley Kat appeared on the screen. "We both had a dream that Chetania is Cheetara's sister and we were friends with her when we were growing up in Cats Lair." They said very quickly. Panthro began to laugh. "You're a little behind the times kittens, he said chuckling, but you are right. Get some sleep and we will explain that in the morning. It's a very long story. Go back to bed and get some sleep." "But Panthro!" started Kit, but another voice cut her off. It was Bengali. "Rowr, Panthro's right. You two need to get your rest. Get back to bed." "Okay Bengali." The kittens said together. They slumped out of the Tower's Control room. "See you in the morning Panthro." Said Bengali. "Good night Bengali." Said Panthro.
Ah, sisters reunited. Main page.
