New Thundera was finally at peace. Mumm-Ra has been defeated and is forever trapped in the Book of Omens. The Thundercats were welcomingThunderian citizens back to their homes while others were busy building their homes and cities. Tygra returned back to New Thundera after Mumm-Ra was defeated and was in charge of designing cities and CO-supervising the building of the cities with Lion-O. In Tygra's place, Bengali and Lynx-O have been sent to 3rd Earth to guard it by Lion-O's orders.

With peace on the planet, the people of Thundera thought it was time for Lion-O to settle down and marry. The Thundercats are often asked if Lion-O has a girlfriend, a fiancé or even a child. Many women have thrown themselves at Lion-O, but Lion-O does not appear impressed by them or their actions according to the television news, newspapers and magazine reporters.

One Friday evening, the Thundercats spread out after dinner. Lion-O stayed in the dining room, Tygra went to his room to finish his drawing on a new city, Panthro, WilyKit and WilyKat were in the control room and Cheetara and Snarf were in the kitchen washing dishes.

"It must really be dull and peaceful on Thundera if I am in here helping you wash dishes, Snarf." Cheetara laughed. "I've lived on Thundera all my life, and I haven't known it to be this peaceful."

"I guess." Snarf said gloomily. "But I'm worried about Lion-O. He seem upset or depress about something. I tried talking to him, but he keeps saying 'Everything's fine. Don't worry about me, Snarf. I'm the Lord of the Thundercats. I'm old enough to handle my own problems.' He never kept a problem from me before. I'm his closest friend." Snarf said sadly

"He did seem distant at dinner and I do sense something wrong with him, but I'm sure he'll open up to us and tell us his problem. Give him time, Snarf." Cheetara advised Snarf.

"Maybe you can get it out of him." Snarf said.

"Me? Why would you think that?" Cheetara asked surprised.

"You've known Lion-O longer than anyone. Ever since he was a baby, before his mom died. Besides he likes you, he'll tell you anything."

"Snarf." She said shocked. "How can you say that? Lion-O and I are friends. He has no interest in me."

"But what about you?" He asked.

In the control room, Panthro and WilyKit and WilyKat were watching over Thundera. The twins have grown up and are in their teens.

"Hey, Panthro," WilyKat said his voice deeper now, "How about we call it the night?"

"Yeah. It's peaceful out there." His sister joined him.

"If you were paying attention, you would notice a ship coming in. Let's go greet them." Panthro said and ran out followed by WilyKit and WilyKat.

Tygra sat at his art desk finishing a design of another city. "There. Finish. It's about time Lion-O realized what a foolish mistake it was leaving me on 3rd Earth away from my friends, especially Cheetara."

He stopped looking at the drawing and took a picture out of his back pocket and stared at it. It was a picture of Cheetara and Tygra, smiling and hugging each other. "Oh, Cheetara." He touched her face in the picture. "We will be together again."

Cheetara looked at Snarf very surprised. She couldn't believe he said that. "I think of Lion-O as a very good friend of mine. He's my boss for crying out loud. There is nothing going on between us." She told the furry creature.

Snarf looked at Cheetara and realized that she did not answer his question. Lion-O's not the only one holding something back. Snarf thought "If you say so, but still, you might can get it out of him. I'll finish the dishes while you go talk to him." Snarf said.

"I'll talk to him, but I'm not promising anything." Cheetara said and left the kitchen.

Panthro and the twins arrived just in time to see the ship land. The doors opened and people walked out meeting the Thundercats.

"Welcome home, Thunderians." Panthro greeted the Thunderians.

One particular Thunderian caught Panthro's eye. She was very beautiful with red-orange hair and green almond-shaped eyes. "Thank you, Thundercats." She said looking at Panthro and then at the twins. Her eyes widen in amazement. It's been a long time but it was them. It was WilyKit and WilyKat. "You two. I know you." She said and gave them a hug.

Kit and Kat looked at each other confused and gently pushed the woman off them. "I'm sorry, but my brother and I do not know you."

"Oh, but I do. I know about you and your parents." The woman said.

Kit and Kat looked shocked whereas Panthro looked worried.

Tygra continued to look at the picture of him and Cheetara. "I know we will be together again. We shouldn't have broken up, otherwise we might've have been husband and wife now. We've been apart for too long and it's time for us to be together again. There is nothing that can stop us from renewing our love for each other." He said soft spoken and determined.

Lion-O sat at the head of the table looking troubled, upset, and confused. He was thinking about his problem and wondering if he should talk to the others about it.

"Lion-O." A soft voice spoke at the end of the table.

Lion-O looked up and saw Cheetara walking towards him. "Cheetara, what is it."

"I was going to ask you that." She said as she sat beside him. "Snarf and I noticed you looking troubled. Do you want to talk about it?"

Lion-O ran his hair through his red mane and sighed. "It's nothing you or anybody can help me with. I have to deal with this on my own."

Cheetara took his hand and looked at him with concerned eyes. "Still, it'll be nice to tell someone who has known you since a baby and promised his mother to look after him. Could you tell that someone that?" She asked.

Lion-O looked into her eyes and felt weak in his knees. He squeezed her hand gently and began telling her his problem.

"What do you know about our parents?" WilyKat asked.

"We were so young when they died, that we can't remember them." WilyKit said.

"Yes, it's tragic that they died-"

"In a car accident." Panthro cut off the woman.

The woman looked at Panthro oddly, knowing that wasn't what she was going to say. Panthro glared at her without the kids noticing. "Yes, it was sad that they died in the crash."

"Can you tell us what they were like, Ms.."

"You can call me Vasa." Vasa told Kit. "However, I cannot tell you right now. Once I settle down, I'll tell you about them. I have to get the rest of my things now. Excuse me." She picked up a bag and left.

"That's weird, Kit. It looked like she was going to tell us something else."

"Why don't you two go help the people off the ship. I'll check on the people inside the tower." Panthro said. The twins nodded and left and Panthro went to find Vasa in the tower.

Tygra continue to stare at the picture until Snarf knocked at the door. He immediately put the picture in his pocket. "Come in."

"Snarf. Snarf. Hi, Tygra. Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, Snarf. What is it?"

"What is your relationship with Cheetara?"

Tygra looked at Snarf oddly and wondered if he knew how he felt for Cheetara.

Part 2

"My relationship for Cheetara is the same as my relationship with you all. She's my friend. Why the odd question?" Tygra asked.

"Well, you seem closer to her than anyone else."

"She's my closest friend, and I ask again, why the interrogation?"

"Well, since she is your closest friend, why not help her get together with Lion-O." Snarf offered.

Tygra looked at Snarf as if he was crazy. Get them together. Cheetara doesn't like Lion-O. Besides she is mine.

When Lion-O finished, he walked to the window and looked at his planet.

"Marry, huh?" Cheetara said as she joined him at the window. "I can't say I am surprised."

"You're not?"

"No. Lion-O, you're not only young, handsome, and wealthy, but you are the Lord of the Thundercats, protector of the whole planet. Most of the people only want an heir to the throne so the planet will be safe in the future, and most of the women want you as their husband. Women have come up to me and asked me your preference in a wife." Cheetara told him and begin laughing.

"What did you tell them?"

"I said you have to ask him yourself. I don't know what you want."

"Next time tell them I want a wife who is strong, courageous, noble, and caring who will give me strong, brave children. No matter what, she will always be beautiful in my eyes, and I want her to be the perfect role model for woman on Thundera as all Lady of the Thundercats are. Tell them I want you." Lion-O said looking down at her with soft eyes.

Panthro saw Vasa the minute he came into the tower. "Vasa, we have to talk."

"I suspected this." She said as she walked towards the corner where no one can here them.

"You mustn't tell WilyKit and WilyKat who their parents were."

"Why can't I? Don't they-you didn't tell them, did you?"

"No."

"And you didn't tell them about me? Does anyone else know the truth?" She asked.

"You and I are the only ones living who knows the truth." Panthro answered.

"I guess you forgotten about us."

"I was very vulnerable at the time. You know that. I'm sorry if I took advantage of you."

"No, Panthro, it was me. You were going through a very hard time and-" She saw him walking away. "Panthro. Panthro!"

"Why would I want to get them together? That's crazy." Tygra said astounded.

"No, it's not, Tygra. Lion-O and Cheetara like each other, but they won't admit their feelings. Since you know Cheetara better than anyone, why not fix them up?" Snarf asked.

Tygra, surprised by the news, sat on his bed. "Lion-O and Cheetara like each other?! Never! She doesn't have feelings for Lion-O! Not when-" He stopped himself.

Snarf stepped back from Tygra. Never before has he seen Tygra this upset. "Rreow! What's gotten in you, Tygra?"

Tygra calmed down. "I'm sorry, Snarf. I just find that hard to believe."

"Well, I guess you should be surprised. After all, you were on 3rd Earth when it began."

Snarf said and then continued. "But then again, you shouldn't be. They showed attraction to each other when we all were on 3rd Earth. Remember?" Snarf asked.

"No, not really." Tygra said.

"Well, I'll help you remember." Snarf said and begin telling the times on 3rd Earth when he suspected Lion-O and Cheetara had feelings for each other.

Cheetara stepped back a little in shock. She could not believe what Lion-O just told her. "You want me? What do you mean?" She asked still trying to adjust herself to the startling news.

"I want to be with you." He said nervously. "I want to date you. You are the wife I want." There was a pause before he dropped another bombshell on Cheetara. "I love you."

Cheetara looked into his eyes, and their was no jokes about it. The man standing before her loved her. "I cannot believe you just said that. I don't know what to say."

"I was hoping you would say 'I love you' back. All those adventures we had, fighting the Mutants, Lunataks, and Mumm-Ra,and searching for the treasure of Thundera, I thought we bonded to each other. I'm not just talking friendship, but I mean a physical and mental attraction to each other." Lion-O said looking into her still shocked eyes. "But I see I was wrong. It was just me. I'm sorry." He said and turned his back on her.

It took less than minute for Cheetara to finally grasp what was going on. Lion-O confessing his feelings to her, completely knocked her guard off. She turned Lion-O around to face her. "I'm the one who should apologized. You surprised me, Lion-O, and I was too shocked about what you said to say what I had to say. Now it's time for me to surprise you. I love you, too." She said smiling and giving him a passionate kiss.

Vasa ran to catch up with Panthro. She ran in front of him, making him stop. "They should know the truth and their parents past. If they don't know it, they're likely to repeat it." Vasa said.

"They won't repeat it. They are good kids. They have been raised right by their grandmother and then the Thundercats." Panthro said firmly.

"Being taught good, isn't enough, Panthro. Their were Thundercats who reverted to evil in the past, and the same thing will happen to them."

"No, it won't!" Panthro shouted causing people to look and he lowered his voice. "They will not change. Now you are going to promise me that you won't tell the children about their parents and your and my connection to it." He said but Vasa didn't say anything. "Promise me." He said a little fiercely.

Vasa sighed. "All right. I won't say anything."

Snarf finished telling Tygra. "So, now you know."

All those times. Why didn't I see it before? I know why. Lion-O. Tygra thought. "All this news surprised me and my brain has temporarily shut down. I think I'll get some sleep. Good night, Snarf."

Snarf hopped of Tygra's bed. "Goodnight, Tygra." He said and left.

Tygra shut off his light and begin thinking about Lion-O and Cheetara, especially Lion-O because he's upset with him for taking the woman he loved from him.

Lion-O and Cheetara were heavily involved in the kiss before Cheetara decided to break it. "That was some kiss." She said blushing

"It most definitely was."

"And I think it was a mistake. I shouldn't have kissed you."

"Why not?" He asked and then he just answered his question. "You're worried about starting a relationship, aren't you?"

"I am. If we rush into it- I just want to go slow before I know this is right."

"Have dinner with me tomorrow night?" Lion-O asked.

"Oh, yes. That's slow." She said sarcastically.

"We'll go as friends and talk about this, and no one would know about it. That way you can figure out what you want."

Cheetara thought about it for a second. "All right. It's a date or is it?" She asked

"Whatever you want it to be." He said smiling and pulled her into a hug.

Part 3

Tygra sat up in his bed the following morning. Even though he went to bed early, he did not get much sleep last night. Snarf's news surprised him, and even though he did not want to believe it, a part of him believe it was true and he blamed Lion-O.

"It's all clear now. I now see why Lion-O made me stay on 3rd Earth while the rest went to Thundera. He did it to distract Cheetara from me, so he can have her to himself. I think it's time I have a talk with Cheetara, and find out for sure, instead of jumping to conclusions." Tygra said and got ready for his shower.

WilyKit and WilyKat left Cat's Lair after breakfast to do some sightseeing. It's been a while since they've gone flying on their spaceboards. They have been so busy helping reconstruct the planet, that they haven't have time to do anything exuberant. WilyKat looked at his sister and noticed her looking distant.

"WilyKit."

WilyKit didn't respond.

"Kit?"

She didn't respond again.

"WilyKit!" WilyKat shouted.

"Oh!" She jumped. "What is it?"

"What's wrong with you? Why are you so distant? You were like this ever since we came home last night."

WilyKit landed her board and WilyKat followed. "It's Vasa. I think she's hiding something from us."

Cheetara was in the control room, surveying Thundera. Even though her eyes were on the monitor, her mind was on Lion-O and their kiss last night. What a kiss. She thought dreamy. I still cannot believe he asked me out on a date. I want this to work so much, but I can't help but wonder if he's mature enough. Of course he's mature. What am I thinking?

"Cheetara?" Tygra said making Cheetara jump. "Are you okay?"

Cheetara turned her chair around to see Tygra's face. "Yeah. I was just daydreaming. My mind left me. What's up?"

"Well, I just wanted to talk to you. I had a chance to catch up with everyone except my closest friend."

"Okay. What do you want to talk about?"

"Lion-O."

"Lion-O? Why do you want to talk about him?" Cheetara asked.

"Actually, I want to talk about you and him." Tygra said

"What?" Cheetara said confused.

"I'll be direct. Do you like him or do you like him like him?"

"What do you think she's hiding, Kit?" Her brother asked.

"I don't know. Maybe something about out parents. At first, it looked like she was going to tell us something about our parents that we do not know about. And then she changed her mind, like, she couldn't tell us."

"When she gets settled, she said we can talk and she'll tell us what she know." Kat said.

"I don't trust her like you, Kat. How can you? You just met her."

"I don't know, but a part of me tells me I should."

"I really don't feel comfortable about it. What can she possibly tell us about our parents that we don't know about. Grandma told us everything before she died." Kit said.

"Well, maybe she didn't tell us everything. Maybe our parents have a dark secret." Kat said.

Panthro and Lion-O left the personal gym in Cat's Lair after a hard workout. Both of them were pumping up on the weights although Lion-O seemed a little excited about lifting weights.

"Boy, Lion-O, you were burning a lot of energy today and you still don't look worn out." Panthro said.

"Just like to keep in shape."

"Uh-huh. It's almost as though you were putting your energy to the weights to throw your mind off something. What's up?" Panthro asked.

"Like I said, Panthro. I'm just keeping fit and focus." Lion-O assured him.

"Focus on what or should I say who?" Panthro asked and laughed when he saw a surprised look on Lion-O's face. "I knew it. It's Cheetara. You two have been acting strange this morning, especially at breakfast. Did something happen between you two?" He asked.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." Lion-O ignored his friend and headed for the control room.

" 'Do I like him like him?' " Cheetara repeated his words confused. "You're sounding like a cub, Tygra. Where did you get an idea like that?"

"Snarf. He told me you and Lion-O have gotten closer since you have been on New Thundera, and since you didn't answer my question, it must be true."

"Tygra I-"

The doors opened and Lion-O and Panthro stepped in. "How's Thundera looking, Cheetara?" Lion-O asked with his eyes on her.

Cheetara returned to the monitors. "It's fine. No trouble." She responded nervously.

"Good." Lion-O said smoothly.

Panthro watched Lion-O and Cheetara and sensed something was up, but he didn't know what. Now what are those two up to. Panthro thought.

"What do you mean, Kat?" Kit asked.

"I don't know, maybe our parents aren't peachy clean as we were led to believe. It's just a thought, but we better be getting back. We switched shifts with Cheetara so she can have the night to herself." Kat said as he hopped on his space board.

"I remember. I still don't understand why she wanted to change shifts. She has never done that before."

"Well, you know how you women are. Always changing your mind about things." Kat said and ducked after almost getting hit by sister. She continued to chase him all the way back home.

Part 4

A full moon was out over New Thundera. It was five minutes to eight and Cheetara was checking herself again in the mirror. She wore a little more make-up, pulled her hair back and was wearing a yellow sleeveless dress. Suddenly, there was a knocking at her door. She opened the door, trying not to look nervous. She's been on dates before she was Thundercat, but for some reason, she was feeling nervous having a date with Lion-O.

"Hi." She said surprisingly calm.

"Good evening." He said and handed her dozen red roses. "These are for you. You look beautiful."

"Oh, thank you. They're beautiful." She said and took some old flowers out of her vase and put the roses in there. She then looked at Lion-O. He was wearing a black suit. "You look handsome, too. Shall we go?"

The two left in black flying Limo. It's usually used when Lion-O have important events like a city openings and other public events.

Elsewhere in Cat's Lair, Tygra, Panthro and Snarf were in the counseling room playing poker. So far Snarf has been winning and Panthro and Tygra were sure they had him this time. The three eyed each other, thinking they have the better hand. Finally, Snarf threw his hand.

"Full House."

"I fold." Panthro and Tygra said.

Snarf laughs greedily and pull the chips to him.

"Next time, Snarf. We'll get you next time." Panthro assured him.

"Say it all you want, Panthro, but like I told Lion-O: 'You're no pro when you go up against Snarf.' Speaking of him, where is he?" Snarf asked.

"I really don't know. He said he was going out for a while and not to worry about him." Panthro answered.

WilyKit came in carrying a tray of finger foods and drinks. She placed them on the table. "Here you guys go. Poker food and drinks." Kit said.

"WilyKit, what are you doing here? I thought you and WilyKat were going to the carnival in Claudus City." Snarf said.

"We were, Snarf, but our plans changed. Cheetara wanted to switch shifts with us. She said she had to do something important tonight." Kit explained.

"What important thing?" Tygra asked.

"We don't know. We didn't asked because we thought it was personal. I better get back to Kat on watch duty. 'Night." She said and left.

Tygra was thinking about what Kit said but his mind was distracted when he heard Panthro and Snarf laughing. "What's so funny?" He asked confused.

"Don't you get it? Snarf Snarf. Lion-O went out for a while. Cheetara switched shifts with the Kit and Kat." Snarf said laughing.

"No." Tygra said.

"They're on a date." Panthro explained while laughing.

"What?" Tygra said astounded.

Lion-O and Cheetara clinked champagne glasses. They went to the Golden Palace, a fancy and exclusive restaurant for the rich and famous. In order not to get mob by women and reporters, Lion-O requested a private room for he and Cheetara to eat dinner in.

"I think the others are going to figure out what we are up to." Cheetara said as she sip her wine.

"I doubt it, and even if they did, I pretty sure they wouldn't be upset. They'll accept it." Lion-O said.

"You're probably right. Dinner and dessert was lovely."

"Only the best. You still don't know about this? Us dating?" Lion-O asked.

"Well, I have an idea about my decision, but I'm not 100% sure yet." She told him.

Lion-O leaned over and took her hand in his. "You are the most beautiful woman in the world. You're everything I want in a woman or is the word wife more appropriate."

"You're really rubbing it on thick." She said.

"I meant every word." He said and kissed her hand.

"You mean to tell me that Lion-O and Cheetara are on a date? That's impossible and unbelievable." Tygra said angrily.

"Oh, come on, Tygra. You're the wisest and most intelligent of all of us. You should have known that." Panthro said as he sobered.

"Give him a break, Panthro. He's been on 3rd Earth and didn't notice Lion-O and Cheetara becoming closer. Of course, we could see their attraction to each other when we were living on 3rd Earth and then there's the time we were searching for the treasure of Thundera." Snarf told Panthro.

"Remember when Lion-O insisted that he and Cheetara look for the double-headed dragon out in the ruins, far from our site and alone." Panthro said.

"Scooper was with them." Snarf said.

"Yeah, like a dog can talk." Panthro laughed.

Tygra was becoming more angry at Panthro and Snarf discussing Lion-O and Cheetara getting closer together. He had to find out and see for himself. "You know what guys. I'm tired, and I'm going to call it a night."

"Okay, Tygra." Panthro and Snarf said.

When Tygra left, he ran to the hangar and got on the Hovercat and flew at full speed. "If I know Lion-O, and if he and Cheetara are out, they probably went to the Golden Palace." He said to himself and pictures of Lion-O and Cheetara hugging and kissing ran through his mind. "If I catch him touching Cheetara, my beloved, Lion-O is a dead man." He said in a vengeful tone.

Soft music was playing and Lion-O and Cheetara were dancing together closely. Cheetara comfortably rested her head on Lion-O's shoulders. "This was a great idea. I feel so relaxed knowing that we love each other."

"You're saying, you want to date?" Lion-O.

"Yes. I do. I don't feel anything could go wrong with this." She said and hugged him tightly.

Lion-O pulled back and kissed her adoringly.

Tygra was nearing Claudus City with vengeful eyes. "She is mine, Lion-O! You are a dead man if I catch your hands on her! A dead man!"

Part 5

Lion-O and Cheetara got in the black, flying Limousine and left the Golden Palace. Cheetara looked at her watch and noticed it was still early.

"Where are we going now? It's not late." Cheetara said to Lion-O.

"To the Gardens of Thundera. I want to talk to you in private and we can't get that in the Golden Palace even though we were in a private room." Lion-O said.

As they were flying, Cheetara was looking out the window and thought she saw Tygra pass them on the HoverCat. "Was that Tygra?"

"I doubt it. He's playing cards with Panthro and Snarf at the lair." Lion-O assured Cheetara.

Tygra turned the HoverCat around and paused. "You think you can get away from me. I'll find out what you're up to." He lowered the speed of the HoverCat so Cheetara and Lion-O won't know they're being followed.

Panthro and Snarf were still at the lair playing cards.

"I wonder why Tygra left so quickly." Panthro said looking at his cards.

"Well, maybe he was a little hurt. I mean, in a way, you hurt his intelligence by saying he should've recognize Lion-O and Cheetara's feelings since he's the wisest of all the Thundercats, next to Lion-O of course." Snarf told Panthro.

"I think Tygra was emotionally hurt." Panthro said and out his cards down. "Royal Flush."

"Darn." Snarf said and threw his cards down. "I'm through for the night. And what do you mean emotionally hurt?" Snarf asked.

Panthro laughed, "You're quitting because I'm winning." He said and then his voice became serious. "I guess he's hurt because his ex is moving on."

"Ex? You mean to tell me that Cheetara and Tygra dated?!" Snarf said shocked.

Lion-O and Cheetara held hands as they took a stroll through the Gardens of Thundera. They finally sat down on the edge of the large water fountain.

"It's been a wonderful, evening Lion-O. Did you notice how the women were looking at you when we came in the Golden Palace?" Cheetara asked Lion-O.

"No, I was only looking at you." He said and put a flower in her hair.

Cheetara raised her feet to kiss him, but sense something. "Lion-O, I have the strangest feeling that we're being watched."

"The sword's not warning me of any danger, so if someone's watching us, let's give them something to watch." He said and kissed her.

Hidden behind the various flowers in the Gardens of Thundera, Tygra watches them. He could not believe what he was seeing. Seeing Lion-O kiss Cheetara, made Tygra's blood pressure boil. He took out his whip, thinking of how to strike him and he put it back. No. I have think of a better way. He thought

"When did Tygra and Cheetara date?" Snarf asked Panthro.

"Well, it started years before we all became Thundercats. Tygra was 20 and getting his doctorate in college. As you already know, Tygra was a genius and skipped grades in high school. He started college at 15 and went year round instead of taking summer breaks. Anyway, he and some other college students volunteered to be mentors to high school students about college; put their fears at ease. He was set up to be a mentor to 16-year-old junior."

"Cheetara." Snarf guessed.

"You got it." Panthro said and continued. "They became fast friends and then started to date. I don't know who initiated, but my guess it was mutual. If I was her parents, I wouldn't let my child date a college student, but I they thought Cheetara was mature enough."

"They seemed to be in different worlds. Cheetara, 16 and in high school and Tygra 20 and in college." Snarf said.

"Yeah, well, girls are more mature than guys at 16 and don't want to date immature high school guys. I should know; I was one myself. At his graduation, Tygra got the opportunity of a lifetime. He was selected to be the youngest scientist to study with the top scientist of Thundera. They would go to different planets to the study the life there, find cures to diseases, and any other scientific things, and the main station was 3000 miles away. They both agreed that Tygra should go and they broke up. They didn't see each other again until they were Thundercats. When they saw each other again, they tried to rekindle their romance but it failed. It ended in two months."

"So much for everlasting love. I didn't see them acting like a couple." Snarf said.

"You're were busy taking care of Lion-O."

"How did you find out all this?" Snarf asked.

"I talked to Cheetara after she and Tygra broke up. She explained everything. It really wasn't love, but puppy love. They didn't have a chance to break up on their own all those years ago. Tygra's offer did, but the second time, they did and finally had closure. Things change, time change, people change. You can never go back to the past." Panthro said wisely.

"I have to agree with you about that. You think we should tell Lion-O?"

"No way."

"Why?"

"If a guy finds out that a friend of his dated his girlfriend before he did, he may get jealous or upset." Panthro answered.

"I repeat. Why?"

"It's something in us I guess." Panthro said.

Lion-O broke the kiss and place his hand in hers. "I brought you here so we can have a serious discussion. Why were you worried about starting a relationship with me?" He asked.

"Well, I wasn't sure if you were mature enough. You are an excellent leader and you have years experience in it now, but you never had any experience in relationships. I didn't think that part of your mind was ready. I thought I may be your girl-of-the-week and dump me for someone else the next week. I love you so much, Lion-O, and I would be devastated if you left me. I guess I was protecting myself form getting hurt." Cheetara told him.

"I would never do that to you, Cheetara. You're the only one for me." Lion-O told her.

"I see that now. You were a perfect gentleman the whole night. You were willing to wait until I decided, and I see that you can never hurt me." She said and hugged him, keeping him close. "I don't want to keep this as a secret anymore. Let's tell everyone tomorrow."

"If that's what you want. We better go. It's after midnight and the other will be wondering about us soon." Lion-O said and they got up and left.

Tygra rose from the gardens and watched them fly off. "You are going to pay for this, Lion boy. You are going to pay." He said angrily.

Part 6

At breakfast, the following morning, Lion-O told the others and his relationship with Cheetara. Everyone of course was happy, except for Tygra he said fake congratulations. When breakfast was over, Lion-O told Tygra he wanted to talk to him alone in the counsel room. Tygra, of course was curious, and did not want to talk to Lion-O, since he thinks he stole Cheetara from him.

"What is it that you wanted to see me about, and could you hurry up, I have to get to my construction site?" He said curtly.

"Okay. Tygra, you have been working hard on rebuilding three cities, and I decided to help you out."

"What do you mean?" Tygra asked.

"I've hired two other men to help you out. Instead of going to three different sites everyday, supervising construction of the cities, you will have someone at each site. You can easily check in via monitors that will be set up at each site." Lion-O explained.

"I can't believe you did this. First you take- and now-" Tygra sounded angry.

"I was only trying to help you. I can't be with you at the sites all the time. I have all of New Thundera to look over, and-" Lion-O was cut off when the counsel doors opened.

"Excuse me, guys. Lion-O you have two visitors." Cheetara told him.

"Send them in, Cheetara."

The two men walked in. One was Tor, the half lion/half cheetah Thunderian and the other was a red striped tiger.

"Tor you already know. This is Sibro." Lion-O introduced Tygra's assistants. "I'll leave you three to business." He said and left with Cheetara.

"You look troubled, Lion-O. What's wrong?" Cheetara asked.

"It's Tygra. He got upset when I told him about his new workers, and it almost seem it wasn't just that. It was like he was angry with me about something else, but I didn't understand what he meant." Lion-O explained.

"I'll have a talk with him." Cheetara said.

A few hours later, Tygra was at his construction site, supervising and giving directions to his employees. Tor and Sibro easily understood Tygra's instructions and were at their designated sites. While watching the city being built, Tygra began to think back before Thundera's destruction, when he and Cheetara became Thundercats and were dating again.

It is nighttime and Cheetara and Tygra were walking by Lake Isis, named after the first Lady of the Thundercats. They stopped by a tree and Tygra put the flower in her hair. He leaned over and kissed her. The memory faded and Tygra let out a satisfied sigh.

"Tygra." A voice startled him.

Tygra turned around. "Cheetara, what are you doing here?"

"I came to talk to you. What were you sighing about? You sounded happy."

"I am. I was sighing happily about the cities being built and our people returning home." Tygra lied.

"It is good that all the people of Thundera are coming back, but that isn't why I came here. Lion-O said you were upset that he got Tor and Sibro to help you out. Why?" Cheetara asked.

"I guess I was upset that Lion-O didn't tell me about it first." He lied. First he takes you and now he's trying to take over my job. Tygra thought.

"He was only trying to surprise you silly and help you. He knows how busy you have been and thought you needed some help. After all, he can't be here all the time because he rules an entire planet now, and you are left here by yourself. Lion-O hired Tor because he has helped us rebuild New Thundera ever since we arrived and knows what he's doing and Sibro had his own construction company before Thundera exploded." Cheetara explained.

"Nothing but the best workers." Tygra said. "I guess I should apologize to Lion-O."

"I'll do it." Cheetara volunteered.

"Thanks, and Cheetara, why didn't you tell me how you felt for Lion-O. I'm your closest friend." Tygra said

"I didn't want to tell you until I knew that our relationship would work, and it will. You just don't know how happy I am. I hope you feel that same way someday. It's a wonderful feeling." She said dreamily and snapped back to reality. "I have to go. Lion-O's taking me out when I get back. Bye." She said and sped away.

Tygra watched her as she left. You will be mine again and that's a promise.

Chapters 7-9:

Tygra comes up with a plan to take out Lion-O and the plan works, but not the way he had planned. Panthro has a flashback about his past. WilyKit and WilyKat tries to get Vasa to tell them about their parents but she refuses to tell them until another Thundercat forces her to.
