Welcome to my World
2b) Date
The red leaves of fall gracefully fell down around her as the sun slowly
faded from the evening
sky. Angel was laying down in the semi private back yard, watching
the now colorful clouds
crawl across the sky. All around her, she could smell moist earth and
could taste the dampness
in the air. It had been a week since her experience in the Dreamverse
and questions were
repeating themselves in her head:
Should I go back?
Should I stay?
Will the spell work this time?
Should I rewrite the spell...destroy it?
Maybe I should create an 'window'.
Would that even help?
'Gods, what should I do?' Angel thought as she stroked a strange rose
tatto on her belly.
Memories swept through her mind about how she had gotten it. One day,
she and Anya had called
the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to their realm. And the guardian of
the dimensional barrier
came after the girls, thinking they had broken the barrier. With some
quick thinking from Angel,
Anya and her became the Rose Sisters, under the promise of the white
rose to keep their spell
a secret and the freedom to walk between dimensions. So, what about
the spell? Angel sighs at
just as a portal opens above her head.
"What the...?" she started as Tygra fell out and on top of her. They
both made an omph sound
as the portal closed. Then they just looked at eahc other in shock
as a pain suddenly
makes itself known to Angel.
"Ty, could you get off me please?" she asked.
"Oh gods," he said and quickly got off her. Angel sat up with a groan
and touched her side.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. Ty, what are you doing here?" Angel asked, looking at him.
"It's a long story."
"I have the time."
"Ok. But, can we take this inside?" he asked, noticing that anyone
could see him.
"Sure," Angel said, getting up with help from Tygra and leading him
inside the house from the
back door. Luckily, no one was home at the time...and wouldn't be for
the rest of the night.
Angel could tell that something was going to happen while they were
gone...but she never thought
this. In Angel's room, Tygra saw that it was basiclly the same way
Sophia left it, except...
"Angel, where's you'r bunk bed?" he asked. In its place was a gold
wire frame full size canopny
bed with a pale blue see through curtains and sky patern sheets.
"It broken mysteriously one day...so I got this," Angel said, pulling
back the curtain and
fixing it to stay open.
"So, what happened?" Angel asked.
"You probably won't believe me when I tell you," Tygra said, sitting
next to her.
"Try me," Angel said. Tygra took a breatha nd began his tale.
Menawhile, Sophia was in the portal with Chronos.
"I wonder why it split like that?" Sophia wondered aloud.
"Portals often take people to where they want to go...or need to go,"
Chronos said.
"So, Wiley kit and Wiley Kat were SENT to the Temple Kingdom. So that
means Tygra could be in
Angel's realm," Sophia said.
"Or just about anywheres," Chronos said. She gave the god a light glare.
"Please don't bring down my enthusiasim like that," Sophia said.
"Sorry. By the way, Eon has been asking about you," Chronos said. This
perked
Sophia right up.
(If you remember from Star Warriors, Eon is the eternal guardian of
the Time Gates Time W.)
"Really?"
"Yeah. I had a chance to chat with him before we left and told him
how you've been and stuff,"
Chronos said.
"I see. How is he doing?" Chronos sighs.
"He's okay...but he's not going along with his sister's training,"
Chronos said.
"That's right. You're training Era to be a guardian of the Time Gates,"
Sophia said.
"Yes."
"But why?"
"When the time comes, you'll find you my child." The rest of the journey
was in silence.
Back in Angel's room, Angel was looking at Tygra with mixed emotions.
"You went to Sophia and Angela to find a window spell?"
"Yes," Tygra said. Angel was touched by this.
"I was worried sick about you. You never came back, and didn't send
any messages. You could have
been brain dead for all I knew," Tygra said. Guilt welled in her heart
at this.
"I'm sorry. I just didn;t know what to do after I got this," Angel
said, pointing to the
white rose tattoo.
"Uh, when and how did you get that?" Tygra asked. Angel told him the
story and his jaw dropped
at the end of the story.
"Angel, you can freely move through the dimensions whenever you want
now!" Tygra said, showing
his excitment.
"I know, but what about that spell I wrote? X dosen't know about it...and
after the last time
I tried to use I'm not sure I want to ever use it again," Angel said.
"Why don't you just keep it locked away...or destroy it?" Tygra asked.
"I thought about that...but somehow there's another option that's not
clear to me right now,"
Angel said. The two are quiet for a moment.
"Anyways, it's going to be awhile for Sophia comes to find you. So
I'm going to show
you around town," Angel said, smiling.
"Uh Ang. One problem," Tygra said, and waved his hand over himself.
"Silly," Angel said, trailing her right index finger down his chest.
He felt a strange magic
wash over him and looked in a nearby mirror when she was done. He gasped
to see that he looked
human.
"It's an illusion spell, but it'll do. Now, let's go before it gets
to dark," Angel said.
"Ok. It'll be interesting to see your world for once," Tygra said.
Angel smiled and knew that
this was going to be a good night after all.
Angel drove her snow white convertable around town as Tygra looked around
at everything,
amazed by all the building and stuff. The town was built around a university
with businesses
mixed with residental area.
"This place is amazing," Tygra said, noticing who many trees there
were in the town. Angel
smiled at that. It was her favorite part of town. It was like the people
took
pride in the mix of city and nature. Later, Angel took Tygra on campus
to one of the buildings
with the diffrent fast food places. Near by them was a dance floor
a jutebox.
"What is that?" Tygra asked, pointing at the weird contraption with
neon lights and many disks
inside.
"It's a jutebox...think of it like a giant music box," Angel said,
walking over to it and
flipping through the songs.
"Care to dance?" she asked.
"Not tonight," said a familar voice. The two looked and saw Sophia.
Angel whines at this.
"Aww. You're no fun," Angel said.
"He doesn't belong here Angel," Sophia said quietly, once over with
Angel.
"But we're on a date," Angel quietly hissed back. Sophia looked at
her, then at Tygra who
raised an eyebrow, then back at Angel.
"You have till midnight here," Sophia said.
"Thank you," Angel said, hugging her. Sophia blushes lightly at this,
which Tygra notices.
"So, what dances do you know?" Angel asked, turning to Tygra.
Back at Angel's, an figure made of smoke and cloth came out through
the kitchen wall with a
yawn. X had waken up for his nightly rounds and decided to drop by
Angel's to
check up on her. Now that she was a Rose sister, he had an keep and
eye on her...as well as Anya.
But it appeared that Anya would be the more responsible one of the
pair, and would need less
watching over. Angel on the other hand...though she may look like an
adult, she often acted like
a kid...and this concernced X. She wasn't even afraid of him! He moaned
at this, feeling a bit
humliated that he wasn't able to scare her. He was surprised to find
that she wasn't home...in
fact no one was home. Then he sensed that a portal had been open and
something had came out of
it. And it had left the house with Angel.
"Great," he moaned. Thinking that she had been kidnapped X began to
track where they went. X had
fun tracking them, since Angel had taken Tygra allover town. He fianlly
found them on campus,
and it looked as if they were dancing! Or if that's what he could call
it.
"What in the...?" X asked and came into the room. Sophia was the first
to see him and jumped.
This made Angel & Tygra stop dancing. The two followed the direction
of Sophia's wide eyes
and saw X.
"Who's that and why dose he look anrgy?" Tygra asked, getting ready
to go into defense mode.
Angel sighs.
"Sophia, Tygra. This is the guardian of the dimensional barrier," Angel
said.
"HIM!" Sophia exclaimed, shocked.
"What?" X asked.
"You're a demon! How can you be a guardian?" Sophia asked. X narrowed
his eyes at her.
"You're the One of All yet you're immortal," he replied. Sophia gasped
at this.
"How did you...?" X smiled.
"I'm a demon, remember?" Sophia glared at him. Angel moans.
"I think this date is offically ruined," Angel said, sitting down.
X looked at her confussed.
"Date?" he asked.
"Yes. X, this is Tygra...you remember me telling you about him right?"
Angel asked.
"Yes. You tell me about him every chance you get," X said, showing
a sickening look on his face.
Tygra rasied an eyebrow,
"Demons are that big on love," Sophia said. An oh look comes to his
face.
"So, shall we cut the date short or what?" Angel asked Tygra.
"Can;t we stay the night?" Tygra asked.
"What?" Sophia exclaimed.
"Look, it's night here and it's late. Do you really want me to go back
half asleep when it's
still day over there?" Tygra asked. Sophia sighs.
"Fine," Sophia said, obviously not liking the situation.
Back at the house, Angel and Tygra retired to Angel's room early. X
had a smug look on his
face when he saw this.
"What's you're problem?" Sophia asked.
"Nothing," X said, and turned to leave. But Sophia grabbed his arm
to stop him.
"Tell me," she said. X sighs.
"Angel is a Rose sister now...and I don't extaclly trust her with the
power to cross dimensions
freely...if you get my drift," X said. Sophia's jaw dropped.
"She's a Rose sister? Since when?"
"Since last month...after she tried that spell to go back to 3rd Earth,"
X said. Sophia
noted something in his voice.
"X, how do you know abut that spell?" Sophia said, sternly.
"Because...I messed with the spell."
"What! Why?"
"First, it's my job to make sure no one unowrthy crosses the dimensions...and
I think she's
unworthy," X said.
"But, she made the rose promise..."
"Without knowing it." The two are silent for a moment.
"I guess only time will tell X," Sophia said, letting him go. He stayed
a few moments more
before leaving the same way he came.
The next morning, Sophia quietly came into Angel's room to find the
two in a lover's embrace.
'I knew it,' Sophia thought. The two weren't very vocal about it, but
they were lovers. Sophia
sighs and quietly wakes Tygra.
"Wakie wakie," she said. He groans as he wakes and looks at Sophia.
"Morning already?" he asked.
"Yes. I sugest you get dressed and we'll get going. And please don't
wake Angel," Sophia said,
stepping away from the bed as he carfully got out of bed to get dressed.
Sophia didn't bother
to watch them, but kept her eyes glued to the sleeping Angel. Tygra
noticed this.
"Something you want to tell me?" he asked. Sophia shakes her head.
"It's just that she's so much like Angela...and yet she's so diffrent,"
Sophia said, talking
as if Angel was a enegma to her.
"So, when do we leave?" Tygra asked reluctantly.
"Just a mo," Sophia said, laceing her hands together in a strange way,
and began to chant in an
old Earth language called Latin...which was dead to 3rd Earth. All
three people in the room began
to glow in diffrent colored lights. Sophia in a white light while Tygra
and Angel in a pale
blue light. When Sophia was done, she sighed while closing her eyes.
"What did you just do?" Tygra asked.
"I fixed it so you two will cross paths in the Dreamverse," Sophia
said. Tygra's jaw dropped.
"But..."
"Don;t say anything, just go," Sophia said, ushering him out of the
room. Before leaving herself,
she turns to the reader and says:
"Goodnight beutiful dreamer,
May we cross paths in Dreamland
And remember the thimes that we shared together."
