The 15th day of Tishri-is also the possible day of the birth of Christ. December 25th, the date celebrated by today's population has significance in two aspects: 1) on the 15th of Tishri-the date of Jesus' birth, calculate backward 40 weeks--It would be December 25 or 25th day of Chisleu that Mary conceived Jesus and 2) in 320 AD, Constantine chose Dec. 25th because it was the day of a pagan festival known as "Saturnalia"
