I have enjoyed the beauty and serenity of Utah's outdoors my entire life. I have fond memories of being a child and going on wilderness hikes and fishing adventures with my family. I am the third of four brothers raised in rural Utah.

B.S.A. (Boy Scouts of America) has played a major role in my life. I obtained the rank of Eagle Scout as a young man and attended training camps such as "Order of the Arrow" and "Timberline Leadership Training". As an adult I have continued my Scouting experience. I have been a Cub Master, Scout Master, Varsity Coach, and Explorer Leader. Over the last twenty years I attended countless wilderness treks, jamborees and weekend camp outs.

Some time ago I was introduced to wilderness camps for at-risk teens. Immediately I fell in love with the program. With my wilderness experience combined with my deep interest in, and concern with the at risk youth population, I feel I have much to offer young people in this day and age.

I am the father of five children. I attended Utah Vocational State College and received my Associate Degree. I have successfully started and operated four businesses. I have learned that any goal can be achieved through dedication, hard work, and commitment.

I find fulfillment in helping others achieve their goals and dreams as I achieve mine.
