April 25, 1938 My Dear Charlotte, Your letter received to day was full of chear and hope, expresing the beauty of Life. We should all feal that way for each of us has so much to be greatfull for, and so much to live for. There should be no room for discontent or envy, for if we think the other fellow enjoys greater privelidges than we and has a greater corner on Life, posabley if all was known we may be the favored one. I think the Lord has aranged the posabiletys of Life in a most wonderfull way, for all his children has much to Live for, much to be thankfull for and Each one has ther cut of Gethsemane and each one has his cross to bare. Mother has felt as well as could be expected. She sat up and ate her supper without any help, so I think she will get along o.k. We all sends Love and Best Wishes to you & Family & Merrill. Sincerely, Your Father
