Dec. 19, 1939 My Dear Charlotte, Only one more week to Christmas. For this Xmas Present your mother and I happyle give our Photos to you and Family as our token of Love and esteem and wish you to know that we do Love you and your dear family. Our sincere prayer is that our Hevenly Father shall bless you and your dear ones with every good blessing which shall be for your good and your continued happy- ness. We feel we are greatly blessed of the Lord to have so good and loving Children. This is our only real wealth. If we was deprived of this one thing we should be poor indeed. So upon this eventfull Xmas time may we all feel greatfull to God our Heavenly Father for these and all other good blessings we do enjoy, together with the assurance that if we serve the Lord with all our Hearts, mind and Strength he will never forsake us through the darkest night. Yet a bright star is Shining for you Beloved daughter. We send you our blessing and Sincere Love, wishing you all a Merry Christmas. Very Sincerely your Mother & Father. P. S. Send the extra frame with Merrill when he comes. Yesterday I took Mother to see Dr. Hayward. Her blood presure is o.k. but she has a little puss in her urin, so have a bottle of Dr. Skidmore's Prescription sent up with the one who comes up first. # M-373 436. She is taking some tablets now.
