In your former letter you stated you was reding Evens book on the American Prophet. When you have finished this book I want you to read Pres. Joseph F. Smith Book by his Joseph Fielding. I am shure you will enjoy it. I have never red a book that showes so much Love and Kindness of a Parent to his loved ones as Pres. Jos. F. Smith. Posobley Abreham Lincon comes close to that of Pres. Smith. You may use my book. Pres. Lincoln had 2 Sons when he went to the White house - -Willey 12 Tad 10 and his dear Loving Wife Mary. They had each a littl Cat & Puppy playing with them in the White house and at times in the meeting with his Cabinet when things went rong Pres. Lincoln often kissed away the tears running down dirtey faces and would cuddle them as a fond Loving Mother. Dear Charlotte, did you ever reflect and consider Love is the first and the last. It is the oldest atrebute in existence. It is inherrent in our Hevenly Father & our Hevenly Mother, thus retransmitted to us --there first spirit children then, now on Earth, there mortel Children. Best, the spark of Love was never lost and never will be. There is only one element that can quench it. Love comes from God as well as all virtues and all that is enobeling, pure and Holy. Everything oppeset to this, such as Hatred, envey, Jelousey, greed and that which is often opeset element comes from the adversary of our soles. Yes, my dear Charlotte, it is the first and the last emotion that comes from a mother's heart. After almost giving her life for the life of a dear little babe is Love. It is the predomenant element of her life untill she places her loved one in the Caskett, again dedicatted to God and to the great eternety. Do love sece there? No, never. It is asmoldering, burning fire, never quenched until we shall again meet in the etearnal world. I think then it shall be perfected and purefied, become more Like the Devine Love of our Heavenly Father. Lincon manefested greater & more perfected love than most Humens. When his entire Cabenet clamered for the hanging of Jeff Daves that had caused so much Bludshed and a trator, Lincoln said, "No, let him go his own way. He will reep his own reward. " So Lincoln could truth- fully say with malas toward non. Pres. Joseph F. Smith had Just such a wonderfull Love, almost Devine. My Dear ones, may our lives be inriched with that Pure, Devine Love that was Born in our Spirit Beings when we was under the influence of a hevenly Mother. We all sends Sincere Love, good wishes and may the Lord Bless each of us. Sincerely, Your Father
