Obituary Joseph Andrew Andersen . LOGAN — Joseph Andrew Anderson, 89, died June 24, 1979 of natural causes at his home. Born March 19, 1891, Logan, to John Hyrum and Annie Charlotte Eliason Anderson. Married Melicent Willmore Sept. 2, 1914 in the Logan LDS Temple. Received his education at Logan city schools and attended Utah State University. Owned and operated the John H. Anderson and Sons general mercantile in Logan for many years. Was director of the First National Bank, Logan, at the time of his death. Active in the Logan Lions Club where he was a charter member. Served a mission to the Eastern states. Was a farmer and Cache Stake high counselor. A ward and stake clerk, he had served as a counselor in two bishoprics In the Logan 4th LDS Ward. Was a Sunday school teacher and served as president of the Elders Quorum, At the time of his death was a high priest in the Logan 4th Ward. . ' Survivors:, widow. Logan; a son John A. Jr„ Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. William E. (Ruth Mae) Watkins and Nedra Mazuran, both Logan; 12 grandchildren: and 12 great-grandchildren.; a brother, Merrill B. Anderson, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Clyne (Marie) Curtis, Logan; and Mrs. George (Luella) Hickman, Berkeley. Calif. Funeral service Wednesday noon at the Nelson Funeral Home, Logan, with Bishop Paul. H. Sharp officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Logan Cemetery.
