LOGAN — Melvin E. Anderson, 70, Logan, died April 16, 1974 of natural causes in a local hospital. Born June 25, 1903, Logan, to John H. and. Annie Charlotte Eliason. Married Ruth Crittenden, June 25. 1929, Logan Temple. Plant pathologist for Rogers Brothers Seed Co., Idaho Falls, Idaho; graduate with M.S., Utah State University; Ph.D from University of Wisconsin; former bishop, Twin Falls, Idaho, Seventh Ward; active .in Boy Scouts, Lions Club. Survivors: wife; sons, J. LaMar, Jon I.; both Logan; Loran C. Manhattan, Kan.; Robert M., Boise; Douglas R., Idaho Falls; 10 grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Joseph A., Logan; Merrill B., Mrs. Charlotte Larsen, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Luella Hickman, Berkeley, Calif., Mrs. Clyne (Marie) Curtis Cokeville, Wyo. Funeral Saturday noon, Nelson Funeral Chapel, Logan, where friends call 10:30 a.m. to services. Burial, Logan City Cemetery.
