Hi, (I bet you checked out Shanty's page first)
I'm a self-taught sailor, originally from Michigan where I honed my sailing on small boats on small lakes, dreaming from age 15 to ply my skills in bigger waters.
Keeping active in sailing, I built small sailing boats, amassed an impressive race record in small boats, crewed and captained many M.O.R.C. and Mackinac racing boats.
In 1988, I sailed Spree from Michigan to St. John. I have delivered many boats up and down the Atlantic Coast, and have sailed my boat all through the Caribbean waters. I have ridden out several hurricanes (but the details of those stories are best told in person). In short, I've spent every day since arriving here fulfilling a lifelong ambition. And taking people daysailing is what I enjoy most.
I have a strong interest in people, love of the sea and the desire to show people the treasures of "my" paradise with a comfortable, safe and fun day on Spree - the way sailing is meant to be.
See you in Cruz Bay, St. John U.S.V.I.
