(no pun intended..REALLY!) subject, but i figure there ought to at least be a few

it's a pretty well known fact that most guys do
masturbate; everyone expects them to. but did you know that some guys
tell people they masturbate, even when they don't, because people will
think that they're lying? most girls, however, either dont masturbate
at all, or are ashamed to admit that they get pleasure from touching
themselves. i'm sitting here wondering why. erin explains
that part of it (the reason she doesn't...) is from her catholic
upbringing, and for her, it just feels "wrong" and "dirty". the
catholics believe that if you touch yourself in a sexual way, it's
like commiting adultery, and therefore it is a sin to touch yourself.
i think that is very untrue. it's important for you to get in
touch with your body, know how to respond to your body, so when
you become sexually active, you will know how to 1. please your
partner with your touch and 2. (most off) be able to be pleased
yourself. if you are single, you don't have to go and try and get
some at a bar and wind up with a std, you will know that you are
able to please yourself safetly instead. masturbation is really
a helpful and useful tool, as well as just something fun to do when
you're bored.
why is it sometimes portrayed as dirty?
perhaps part of the reason is that when we think of masturbating,
a lot of people just see a dirty old man jerking off to a porno
movie. the job of this page is to 'enlighten' people about
masturbation, and shed some light on this little-talked-about topic.
