Samuel Hobbs served in Co A/G. Enlisted on May 30 1862 at Jeffersonville Va. Present thru at least Dec 1, 1862. Deserted , served in Co B 22 Va Cav. Administatively transferred from Co A to Co G on Oct 31, 1864. Paroled on April 24, 1865 at Charleston WV then age 26. Fair Complexion and hair, blue eyes, 5'9" tall. resident of Tazewell Co but was age 23 , farmer, in 1860 Buchanan Co Va census , married Catherine Shrader on Jan 18, 1866. [the marriage information is wrong; Samuel Hobbs married Charlotte Gross in 1858]
He never married twice.
