Scene I : Two young children, with no distinct time period sit on swings during recess at school.  One is a boy, and one is a girl.  They are both around eight years old.

Boy:  Can I swing with you?

Girl:  (making a face)  No, boys have cooties.

Boy:  (looking slightly offended)  Nuh-uh… Girls have just as much cooties as boys do.

Girl:  Do not!  Prove it!

(Boy walks over to the swing that Girl is sitting on, and kisses her on the cheek)

Boy:  (smiling)  Now you have just as many cooties as I do.

(Boy turns and walks away, back into school with the rest of his class.  The spotlight focuses briefly on Girl sitting there, watching Boy walk away.  Spot light dims.  End scene I.)
